That's what the march was - the march was in protest of any criticism of Israel. else why on earth would one associate Judaism with Israel. israel is an anti-semite state that kills semites regularly. why would they have an Israeli flag in a march against anti-semitism? why does the UK government conflate Jews with isreali? why did for 1 month, lbc label any jew march against the disgraceful aparthied rouge state that is Israel anti-semites? but this protest fills people like James o'brian with the hope of being British? It's strange thing to comment. or is it the case one semite are more valuable than other semites. Isn't it ironic that non-semites lecturing us on what it means to be Semites. If people went to that march for genuine reasons sure - I would support them but the very idea there is a march against anti-semitism in protest of Palestinian march that has been happening for 1 month calling for ceasefire - fills me with suspicion.

That has been used as an excuse for decades by the Israeli regime to kick back against the fact that same regime is an oppressive regime operating a 2 tier justice system.
In 2003 an award winning British documentary maker, James Miller was murdered by the IDF in Gaza.
In 2007 an American female protestor was run over by an IDF bulldozer.
Neither victim could ever be described as demonstrating antisemitic behaviour and yet after the incidences the Israeli government put the blame on them rather than lock up the actual criminals involved in their deaths.

Israel has the right to defend itself is fine, no problem. However, it is not an excuse they can use against Hamas - Israel is occupying (as a colonialist) Gaza and West Bank... According to international law, the occupied have every right, by any means, to fight for their freedom. In this Gaza massacre - 17,000 dead, (8,000 children) plus an estimated 5,000 under the rubble. This is more dead civilians than in any war in living memory. This is more than what Putin has killed in 1 year and yet, Russia is punished while Israel is not. Ihave lost count how many war crimes Israel has conducted in just one month - it must be a world record.

I think all the OP was trying to point out is the Jewish protestors are perhaps doing themselves a disservice right now by using the same symbols as the Oppressive apartied state machinery that is Netanyahu's government.
For some people it becomes hard to separate the symbolism from solidarity.
Therefore the conclusion often jumped to will be the antisemitism march is in support of the Israeli state machinery which i don't believe it is personally as Femi's recent video at the anti semitism march demonstrated, many British jews have no affiliation or agree with the actions of Netanyahu's government.

    • @bethanp3453
      @bethanp3453 9 місяців тому +30

@@a_kazakisI didn't get 'lumping together from that'. The opposite actually. They implied a nations flag shouldn't represent an entire world of people and their religion simply because of common ancestry. No other collective does this and it blurs a lot of lines intentionally or not, though I'm sure the ambiguity conveniently doesn't harm tyrannical Israeli leaders one bit.
This whole demonstration was supposedly about ordinary Jewish BRITS standing up to anti-Semitism. Not pro-Israel. Not even political. Simply, 'don't judge us for something that leaders of another nation are doing because that is persecution based on faith and faith only. That would be right on the money. No one could argue that, but people waved the ISRAELI flag. Not the star of David. Not the Union Jack. An official state flag that automatically demonstrates solidarity with the state currently committing war crimes against children. People really need to figure out the distinctions (or lack thereof and reasons behind the lack thereof) for themselves. Why is agreeing with tyrannical political leaders a prerequisite for believing in a certain religion? He's head of state not a spiritual leader. Church/state, homeland/internationally recognised nation on the world stage, Religion/race... Israel really has all its bases covered. I wonder if there is any limit to how low they can go without being called out by the Jewish faith. Well I actually don't want anti-Semitism towards innocent Jewish people and I don't want innocent Palestinians killed and I get to say that in the UK and unlike Israeli citizens I also have no qualms about saying that's no thanks to our insidious government.

Yup. Anti-Zionist Jew here. I keep getting called antisemitic by Zionist evangelical christians for calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, an end to the occupation & equal rights for Palestinians - Evangelical christians who want to push along the fulfillment of their biblical prophecy by getting us Jews back in the “holy land” where we all perish as they get “raptured” up to heaven in the second coming of Jesus 🤦🏽‍♀️

I’m sad to hear Jewish people are afraid.
I’ve never seen antisemitism at school or work?
Remember going to a friends house discovering they were Jewish, but it was interesting to learn different cutlery, different prayer at the table, but differences seemed insignificant.
Only thing I do remember is having the holocaust explained to to me that still fills me with that absolute horror today.
But tend to think of anyone with antisemitic views as just the same handful of bigots that want to spread division & hatred!
Opposite of what majority of people passionately want, understand we really need it.

Belief in some invisible creator differing in what man made religion people adopt. As I grew up I realised the Tooth fairy was not real, then santa childish but harmless beliefs. Religion is not harmless it justifies wars and discrimination. Humamkind needs to throw of its archaic belief in a supernatural creator and come together as one world and progress together.
