Great video ! That intake makes a huge difference
Just FYI those HP and TQ gauges don’t mean anything and don’t adjust automatically when you mod something. Tuners create their own chart for the car to read off of and display a number based on Gear selected and Engine speed/rpms from this new chart. If you just piggy back tune your car the numbers will stay the same even though you’re putting out 25%+ more power than before but since it doesn’t rewrite anything on tbe ECU the sport display gauges don’t change.
Just so you don’t go around spreading misinformation, not trying to shame you or anything. We all learn something new every day.

No the black paint doesn’t let the intake install properly
What other mods do u have on that car? I have a 2018 330i xdrive with the same engine but I’m only getting 255 hp max
I have a 340i M performance muffler and a DME tune. If you want a increase in power you will need a tune.

@@goyanks6350 you can put m240 340 440 muffler without any modification, I had m240 m performance on my 17 330ix , but you need a 335 or 340 rear diffuser to fit dual tip .
did you end up Dyno it? is there any actual power gain?
I haven't gotten a chance to Dyno it. I didn't feel any difference tbh. Its more for sound than performance

I just bought the Bms intake and installed it yesterday working good now I can’t hear the intake idk if I missed something , I just followed ur steps on the video and it sounded hella nice and today can’t hear it now was wondering id anyone can help me out I don’t wanna blow up my car 😂
Did you ever figure this out? I just installed today and the intake makes zero sound when parked and revving, but makes sounds when driving around. I’m very confused.
@@pinheadlarry2761 yea so I guess the car closes the valve of the intake when parked so if u wanna sho off to ur friend you have to turn off the car then turn it back on to open the valve that’s what my buddy told me that also has an intake and it worked

got a kyostar intake for cheaper than the bms and it sounds better and louder
The power and torque measurements are not real. It’s just for fun. I put a JB4 tune in my 340i and it still reads around 320hp but it is really around 380 now. Power and torque measurements are actually rather hard to measure that’s why people use dynos. You should have 8-10 hp gain and also an increase in torque and throttle response. BMS has their dyno results on their website.
I was planning on doing a dyno to see the actual numbers from DME ECU tune and wanted to know if it’s accurate. Before the tune car was reading at 240hp and after the tune it’s reading at 310hp
Dyno testing shows ,,U just lost power lol..sounds good tho
Yup, more air doesn’t help if it’s hot air.
