"Are you bullet proof?".
If my bullet bounces off of you, then I know you're a villain and you'll kill me.
If my bullet kills you, then I know you're innocent and I'm going to jail.
Fucking flawless logic.
Yeah everyone is debating the politics of the situation, but nobody is asking what the chubby man's plan was of the clerk WAS bulletproof.
@@slimjimhero Right up there with the ol' Witch Trial Logic.
We're going to put you in water, if you stay afloat, then you must be a witch and we'll murder you. If you sink to the bottom and drown, then you we've just killed an innocent person.

What I personally find more disturbing is the language Stormfront uses to describe what happened here. She calls it a "shooting," like it's a mass casualty event. Yes, the clerk was shot and killed with a gun, but she's downplaying or even out right ignoring the fact that this was premeditated and specifically targeted towards the clerk. Of course we know that if she admits all this, she'll look bad, but still.
That’s how internet incels work, yeah.
It's typical Tucker Carlson spin.

How would she know that she supposed to read his mind or some shit. You literally only know it was premeditated because it's a TV show and you get to fallow his life and exactly what he's thinking. No shit the news is just going to call it a shooting that's what it was. Stop acting like theres some great injustice being done. You need more context to understand the guy that shot someone isn't great or something?
? It literally was a shooting. Since when does "shooting" imply it's mass casualty?
Imagine a guy hold you up at gun point and the first thing he says is “I saw the light in your eyes” I woulda been like “heheyy buddy c’mon a least take me on a date first”

These people are victims as well as some of the most dangerous people society makes
Edit more than a year later: After rereading this i see that this post really sounds like making excuses for those who perform acts of stochastic terror. This was not my intent but i'll go ahead and clear this up.
While i do see the Stormfront fan as a victim of her toxic ideology being specifically crafted for folks like him, this does not make him any less a murderer and a burgeoning fascist. I just also believe that in addition to those actions being attributed to this guy, who is in full control of himself and could have just not committed this hate crime, Stormfront also contributes to this act by providing him the spark to actually start the fire.
This crap does happen in real life. Folks online find community with what are basically neo nazis, embrace their ideology (which is inherently violent aganist those it deems as an out group), and go on violent rampages. This is a pattern we've seen in the US (im sure its an issue in other countries, but im American and only really know the intricacies of my country and wont speak for yours). They often leave manifestos saying what they believe and who inspired them, often online far right figures who convinced them that its black people, women, jewish folk, hispanic folk, lgbtq folk, etc who are the source of all of their problems, the reason for their oppression as straight white men (overwhelmingly this is an issue with straight, white, lonely men). I think those pundits are also to blame and ought to have consequences imposed on them for the ideas they spread.

The moment this scene played I knew that this show was one of my favorites. The fact that the only reason I watched the boys in the first place was because I liked the idea of super heroes being dicks and the edgy ultraviolence it presented through the action pieces is shocking once you realize the nuanced way this show portrays politics.
It's nuanced, but it doesn't even try to be subtle, because this show has the balls to understand that some issues don't need subtlety to be accurately portrayed
This show is most accurate with the use of the super terrorists. It acknowledges that the problem being acknowledged by people like this guy, and Stormfront, is objectively real, extremely dangerous, and that much of the culture and system collude (consciously or otherwise) to aid and abet the worsening of that evil.

I'm not even sure they make the connection. They probably just think he's a moron, completely unaware of the commentary
@Jay Italia So mental gymnastics, then. The ultimate oppressive force sold to the American public in the guise of Christian values and patriotism - VNN being directed referred to as a spoof of Fox news propaganda, A radicalized shooter who has been taught to believe that the immigrants moving into his country are so evil that he needs to take matters into his own hands (like the countless mass shooters who mention anti-immigrant and pro-nationalist/white supremacy rhetoric in their manifestos). Rallies of dipshits being diverted from actual problems to focus on unsubstantiated, MANUFACTURED conspiracies about massive pedophile/human trafficking rings. Characters like the gay pastor who fucks dudes, Soldier boy and his ideas of society and masculinity. These are all conservative behaviors. What "leftist behaviors" does the show disparage? Is there some joke about blue hair and snowflakes I missed?
You are not mentally equipped to comprehend the limitless capacity for self-deluding mental gynmanstics that US Republicans are capable. No one is really. It's super-human.
@Jay Italia Oh is it Democrats? I'm meaning the Right Wing guys, I thought that was the Republicans.
Soooo there were two scenarios
A) the man isn’t bulletproof and we see it play out as this video shows
B) the man is bulletproof and what…he doesn’t die?
He is not bulletproof, he died.

This guy looks like a guy i knew once. Glasses, size, hair and beard and all its actually pretty crazy how spot on it is I almost thought it was him.
I like how his reaction to the clerk being a potential supervillain was to immediately confront him with a gun instead of calling the cops or running away and making sure he never sees him again.
He wanted to be the big hero. To be the change in his life, in America.
Welcome to white supremacism and cops and spree-killers slaughtering nonwhites every single day.
He’s obese and ugly, what’s the difference? These types of ‘people’ always have something going on…
That’s why stormfronts rhetoric reinforced the idea of taking personal action against the “bad minorities” She _wanted_ things like this to happen. Notice how he didn’t target a white store clerk, but the store clerk with dark skin and an accent? That’s not on accident
@@thefatherinthecave943 But, the clerk is white and doesn't have an accent?

I can't believe it took people until season 4 to realize this show is very anti-conservative...
It’s anti-media.
@@equinoxo8813And anti-conservative.
Does being conservative mean being racist
@@lan_real did you mean “is being anti-immigration conservative” in which case yes…the whole point is this is the anti-immigration stuff that the Republican Party has been shilling for the past 30 years…

When you surround yourself with only 1 viewpoint thats all you will hear. And slowly but surely it will more and more radical. You have unlimited information at your fingertips make your own opinions not what someone else tells you
Yet it seems that whenever this type of violent outburst happens it always seems to be on one side of the isle.
Yeah nobody's taking you seriously with the pedophile profile picture sorry bud.

Social media affects people like this everyday... Some can handle it and most cannot.
The scene is a great depiction of what led to the Buffalo store shooting, the Charleston church shooting, and the Christchurch mosque shooting
Or pretty much any and every radical right wing movement like the Jan 6th insurrection
@Jay Italia
Oh fuck off.
BLM is literally due to high rates of police violence toward minorities it's been an open secret to everyone that we often parody it on shows all the time
@Jay Italia no
@Jay Italia The mental gymnastics you must go through to think that's what this scene was depicting is absolutely insane. Hope you get better.
@Jay Italia The entire show literally makes fun of people like you. It's even talked about how Stormfornt was against leftists and "the liberals". If you actually believe that this scene depicted BLM or "antifa", you are kidding yourself. I truly pity you.
Man this scene was hard to watch it's so sad I really liked the acting by this guy he really nailed it
Man this hits reality in so many ways. When you look at a broader spectrum both the shooter and the shooted were victims.
@@sarahbarnes9648 ?
The _"shooted"_ ..... I call upon Jesus Christ, Mohammed, Buddha, Ramma and even Steve Jobs to help me understand why the fuck you thought that made sense.
Also, no, the shooter isn't a victim, only the one he shot (or _shooted_ ) is. The shooter was in no danger and instead decided of his own free will to let his fear, paranoia and anxiety culminate into full blown mental instability with murderous intent. His delusions led him to believe that he would be a hero ("like Stormfront") if he stood up to a super villain, he didn't question the possibility of his target being a regular person and that he was about to murder someone in cold blood. He wasn't brainwashed, he wasn't groomed, he wasn't hypnotized or bewitched, he was convinced. He might have been scared but he was no victim, this was his idea of being a hero.
@@ZzIAmNOTLegendzZ the shooter is indeed a victim. That does not proves him innocent of the shooting
@@ZzIAmNOTLegendzZ look at him: he is your typical loner who lives with his mother, is sexually inattractive and has no friends. He is just another one in the masses and another one is no one at all.
For him, to become radicalised is to become individual once more.
How do you think US managed to keep the mass fear through the Cold War, Iraq and 9/11? By searching for people like him, by enticing them to radicalise themselves and providing them the material needed to produce fear
Later in this episode.. stormfront says "my condolences to the family of the victim"
Aww🥹
The guy that was shot?
The problem with echo chambers every crazy thing said there becomes your reality… and then you commit a hate crime.
Far too many idiots in the comments here. This has got to be one of the best two minutes ever made in TV. It showed something so critical to today.
they always show people being "radicalized" to right wing but dont show left wing radicalization which leads to mutilation and also shootings also this isnt the average right winger most of us come to conclusions through debates and thought not news or memes
@@ShreddedGenius I think you definitely have a very good point actually. I feel like that isn't portrayed enough.
@@kylolumaim fairly sure this guys definition of “radicalization” is just…letting trans people transition. is that really a bad thing
This is honestly one of the best scenes in the entire fucking show.
The scene that angered neckbeards all over the internet 😂
this show is a beyond excellent presentation of a lot of problems happening is the USA. but he fact that it's made by amazon is just beyond ironic.
Assuming vaught is a stand in for amazon in universe, this show would really be meta as fuck
I mean Amazon has zero influence on the scripts so it doesn't really matter
Imagine being the guy's mom in this situation. They're living comfortably, he shows no signs of mental instability or anything out of the ordinary. And then one day she's informed by the police he murdered an innocent man. She never even checked on him to see what he was really up to - she was just as distracted as he was - and unintentionally completely failed as a parent. And now she's going to live with that guilt forever, with her son behind bars.
Damn Dunkey really didn't like the new Assassin's Creed
Fun detail is the Soldier Boy poster in his room at 1:24, a whole season before they introduced him. That’s pretty awesome
its ironic how back then they thought real life was boring and non eventful so they made tales and stories
but now we take real world events and put them into stories
that's why you stay out of social media
Fat neil NOOOOOO
He was in the Office or something? I'm glad I didn't recognize him, it would have probably killed my sympathy for the guy.
@@PaulChapelMagic Fat Neil is a character from Community.
@@PaulChapelMagic Nah dude, the character Fat Neil was in Community. He gets called Fat Neil by the gang and it clearly upsets him. Being quite a shy guy, the gang feel bad and find out he really likes playing D&D, so they all play D&D with him. It's the episode that got remove because of Chang's 'black face' (it's not really blackface). Anyway, I think the character he plays in that and this are pretty similar and you'd probably have even more sympathy because of the idea that this guy was just trying to get along, find some good friends to play DnD with and not get taunted for being fat. But...that never happened, so he ended up staying home all day, browsing the internet and slowly getting Brainwashed by Stormfront's Nazi speeches.
I mean, I genuinely find this scene quite tearful just because I really am imagining Fat Neil entered his darkest timeline. Fat Neil should be an inspiration to all, not a brainwashed murderer. :(
It was a great choice to note have The Boys' telltale gore in this scene. It makes it feel so much more real and hard hitting.
And something that scene that much more powerful is how it just gets brushed over by stormfront later in the episode. This show managed to show how conservative extremism can lead to tragedies like this, all in 2 minutes.
Tell me how many conservative terror attacks/riots there have been in the past 5 years. I can list at least 10 riots done by leftist extremeism in just the past 2 weeks. And I can list at least 3 mass killers in the last 2 years inspired by leftist extremism.
You aren’t even making any sense. How tf is this “conservative extremism” man you Twitter people are trying hard to claim this show as your own.
@@quagmoe7879 The illegal immigrant terrorist threat is a common conservative talking point, it is a lie that is currently being told by many conservative and republican people, Fox News, Donald trump, it has happened time and time again. That’s how this clip shows that.
Also Vought News is a direct parody of fox.
@@rango8971 I think you need to keep up. That’s blatantly untrue, nobody ever said anything like what’s being said here by Stormfront. Especially not Trump who is milquetoast Conservative and only posing as Right Wing to gain popularity with Nationalists. He’s a populist, he’ll say whatever people want to hear. Stormfront is pushing her own agenda that dates back to her time in Nazi Germany. This show is not real life, it’s literally set in an alternative reality. This is the scene that took this show from good to great for me. It's crazy that this show is able to convey the current political climate as well as it does. And it's also AMAZING to me that people still don't think this show is political (referencing the recent reddit debacle with season 3).
Especially great is the part where super-terrorists objectively exist and are a massive threat, and everyone treats him with indifference at best, and often much worse, for voicing and confronting the problem, and the pain, isolation, and desperation that that produces in the man of conscience and truth.
This is like a completely false representation of the "political climate today"😂 So sad that people like you continue to peddle bs like this as truth
