Agree!!! But even you pick one all of them has a bias wrecker qualities so chosing a bias wont make sense if every comeback your turn between each member.. ot4 always the best choice 😊😊
As a Moomoo since debut, I ping-ponged for the first couple of years then settled on not having a bias. You don't always have to have a bias 😂 for me it was impossible, I love them all too much! They are my bias GROUP 😆
Colleague #1 (aka Moonbyul for Solar) is a real player. She has this masculine presence but can be also a charming lady. They are really talented and all shine in live performances. The company gave them freedom and they never disappointed. They work hard, they play harder. Solar is a force of nature, Hwasa created this strong female persona but she’s a sweetheart, she’s the most « normal » of the four. Wheein is my bias, she’s independent, a bit strange, a great dancer, a versatile voice and a smile that I can’t ignore.
Ah! My favourite chaotic, dorky, talented beagles. The Queens of the Moomoo nation. The mighty Mamamoo. 😍 I love all 4 of these knuckleheads. Vocal Goddesses. I got totally destroyed by their performance of "I miss you" in Queendom show.
Solar ripping her shirt after killing BTS’s Fire is iconic. There was another time where the media got in her and I believe Hwasa for showing skin, so at their next award show Solar showed up with a pantsuit with only a bra on under the jacket. Basically a “oh you had a problem with that, well take this” kind of thing. The immortal song medley, solo W/F, solo S/S stages are must watch. I am sure there are various other content of looser crew messing with solar, solar being leader, them being drunk.. Solar is a lightweight, idol radio.. Weekly Idol. Moonbyul just took my as bias from the start.. Solar took bias wrecker when I watched Egotistic. My friend is a Wheein Bias. Moonbyul is in so many Solarshido episodes be in on camera or off camera. Solar has been on one or two Moonbyul2da episodes. Solarshido has so much good content. As much as I love Exy, Moonbyul was who deserved to win Second World and she did. Moonbyul slayed the entire time and challenged herself the entire time. YongKong ByulKong, MoonSun, olders Wheesa, two yong girls, Makane line, 95 line
Don't stress about picking a bias. In my experience with Mamamoo your bias picks you and it could come as a complete surprise. Otherwise you may never have a bias or just end up with a whole group of bias wreckers. For me it's Solar because she's the one who makes me cry when they do ballads but initially she was the member I was least drawn to because she seemed like such a ditz. Purple Hawke's guide is fantastic but Solar's section is just the tip of the iceberg and in particular her leadership is glossed over with funny bits of the members teasing or ignoring her. She has an extremely multi-faceted personality and the members have even accused her of having a multiple personality disorder. You might want to watch an old vid called Solar Being the Leader and Mother of MMM for an intro to her leadership style. For every aspect of Solar there's an equally valid polar opposite: she's a random af yeba goofball bouncing off the walls like a beagle-dol on a sugar high who gullibly falls for the members' pranks & teasing but the flip side of that childlike innocence is the pure, fiery spirit that hot-wires her wide open generous heart to her powerful voice, her openness to fresh ideas and experiences, her fearlessness about taking on new challenges, and her wild imagination that churns out ideas and makes startling artistic connections between apparently unrelated images and concepts. I'm not sure how much you know about Mamamoo's fandom so here are some of the basics, leading up to an explanation of the last line in Purple Hawke's introduction video: The fandom name is moomoo. Moo means radish and Mamamoo's light stick is shaped like a daikon radish. Before they had light sticks moomoos used to show up at events wearing radish masks and carrying real daikon radishes. Moomoos often greet new fans by saying Welcome to the radish field (or farm)! New fans are referred to as baby radishes and are informed/warned that Once you Wheein you can't Whee-out! The fandom motto is Never Letting Go, which dates back to a very early fanmeet in 2015 where moomoos held up signs with the motto while MMM was singing Love Lane, which made them burst into tears and have difficulty finishing the song. In response Solar started writing a love song to moomoos called Never Letting Go in Korean (aka I Love Too in English) and Moonbyul & Hwasa added rap verses to complete it. At the very end of Hwasa's section of the guide they quote the motto when they tell Hwasa they'll never let her go. Fyi prior to their official debut Mamamoo released two collab tracks with MVs called Don't Be Happy and Peppermint Chocolate. Mamamoo was the first group to debut under startup agency RBW and the collabs with well-known artists were intended as a way of drawing attention to this new group from an unknown agency with little money, few resources, a small staff and zero clout in the industry. Since you mentioned blending in covers you should know that in 2015 Solar started releasing a series of covers with MVs called Solar Gamsung (Emotion or Sensitivity) that were eventually released on an album with the same name in 2018 and also included a solo version of her self-composed song Star Wind Flower Sun (originally released by the full group) in which she expresses her gratitude to the members, their families, staff, colleagues and to moomoos for their ongoing love and support.
thank you for all this amazing info!!! 🥰🥰 I got confused when people were like 'welcome to the radish farm!' and I was like Why a radish?!? 🤣 so thank you for the explanation 😊😊
@@roguereacts YW! It's a dork trifecta: goofy group name, fandom name and light stick. 🙄🤣One of the things I love about MMM is that they're serious artists who don't take themselves too seriously. They love what they do and have fun doing what they love. 😂 Edit: I should probably have mentioned something you may have guessed by now: Mamamoo believes they were fated to meet and become best friends even if they weren't singers or in a group together. Imo that's the secret sauce that elevates their world class talent to goddess tier teamwork. They recorded several songs on this topic for their 2019 album Reality in BLACK (Bless Life And Carry Knowledge) including Destiny, Universe, and 4X4ever.
The way I am dying for Dreamcatcher and Mamamoo to become BFFs. The talent, the chaos, the fruitiness, the deep bonds of friendship which is more like family.. they are so similar! It’s so hard to choose a bias. Solar is mine, but then I have the biggest crush ever on Moonbyul, and Wheein releases my favourite solo music and Hwasa is the absolute hottest woman in the world and a total queen and someone who I’d want to be for a day. Top notch discography from Mamamoo too and SO MUCH content. There’s so much that I think I’ll be discovering some of it with you. You’re in for a ride!
You could say that Moonbyul is my solo bias. I tend to prefer her solo work, as she doesn't really get much opportunity to showcase her vocal talents as a member of Mamamoo. But then there's also Solar's comedic insanity... Wheein's radiant beauty and golden voice... Hwasa's 'IDGAF' attitude... so in short, I don't think I have a specific bias when we look at the four as a group.
ahhhhh I'm so excited for this!! ngl I lowkey forgot about the discovery videos you did for them since it's been a few months, so getting hit with the arrival of this deep dive just made my night! i went back and rewatched the other two vids and then binged these two, so so happy to see you falling for them just like we have. Mamamoo was my gateway drug into kpop as a whole and have remained my ults for the years since (although dreamcatcher gives them a run for their money, i adore them both but mamamoo will always hold a special place in my heart as the first ult and continued ult of ults). also as much i as i absolutely love other kpop concerts i've been to, mamamoo's concert this year was practically a religious experience it was so good (i'm smiling just thinking about it again) and i know you'll start to understand the more live performances you see. they're known for how well they can work a crowd - i remember in queendom, AOA talked about how they were worried about being able to work a crowd like mamamoo does when they did a song swap on the show, and they're mamamoo's seniors! their vocals are always insane, but live???? i could gush forever about each of them individually and how they come together as a group tbh. def agree with everyone else - don't stress about the bias picking. if you have one, she'll find you. otherwise feel free to ping pong every which way as much as you need, or even finally give up and be ot4,, it's really hard to pick in this group! they all have so many different strengths and charms and you'll never stop finding ways to fall in love with each one of them. in fact, out of all the groups i have a bias in, this is the ONLY group where I fell for one right away and eventually had to admit my bias had changed - literally years later. Solar was my ult for years before finally being dethroned by Wheein, and it happened gradually until i suddenly realized what had happened lmao. i'll fight for wheein all day long and try to bring others into the "once you wheein you can't whee-out" agenda cuz she snatched me away from solar and hasn't let go, but let's be real all of them are just too dang lovable, you can't have one without the other three and i think ultimately all of us are OT4 even if we have a bit of a bias for one or the other XD as long as i'm here, i'll drop a recommendation but with the catch that it's for way down the line. as in, after you dive into their solo work and so are familiar with their different songs and styles etc for their individual discographies. for their recent my con world tour they did a "solo parade" that featured parts of 8 of their solo title tracks (2 from each member) and the performance is incredible ESPECIALLY after being familiar with the original stuff so you can see how it was modified for the concert and the ways they all differ from each other but also come together seamlessly. there are some pretty good fancams of it out there, otherwise the VOD for their recent concert tour that came out has the full performance but professionally recorded from the LA show if you want to just snag the section from there. anyways TLDR mamamoo is amazing and has so much amazing content... super excited for this journey!!!
I know! It's been a hot minute since those discovery videos! 🥰 I have a feeling I'm not just going to go on a deep dive journey I'm going to be going on a bias journey as well! 🥰 Any recommendations are welcome!!! I'm also excited for this journey!
so that's the girls!!! now you know exactly what kind of crackheadery/talent you're getting into!! it's super hard to choose a bias, i know you noticed that haha super happy you're vibing with them so far! they're all dangerous, they're all lethal in their own ways, and they've worked so hard to get where they are thank you!!!
No need to have a bias in Mamamoo, they are all amazing, talented and unique vocal and harmonize perfectly as a group. They are the most hardworking and sincere to their fans ❤

I'm kinda seeing that LOL
