Amazing footage and amazing edit. Thanks mate. I will likely miss out on my trip there next month due to the border closures but at least I got to experience it through your perspective
Thanks for the kind words mate. Spewin that you are not able to get out there this time. Its an amazing part of the world. We are lucky that it is in our back yard and that we are not locked down at the moment. Hopefully you get over soon 🤙
This is brilliant Webby ! You should sell this to one of the tourist shows !! Spectacular footage and the compilation is so clever !!!!! Well done mate !
Thanks mate. The barge is owned by blue lightning charters and I think the use it for most of the year. Im not sure if they rent it to anyone or if we just had special permission through a mate of a mate kind of thing
Awesome do you have a contact for the pontoon/ barge you camped on I’d be super keen to hire it for a few days I’m in Karratha and have a 7m oceanic fab boat
I'm not entirely sure TBH. I know Blue lightning charters own it and use it for a lot of the year. I am not sure if they rent it to anyone of if we just had special permission.
Haha we could always use a bigger boat. From fortesque its just over 45Nm so depending on weight and weather. I think roughly 3 hours is fair. It may have taken us over 7 to get there this trip tho. Should have picked better weather.
@@DAWNadventures Easter time has the most reliable weather for sure. Its also change of season so the squid and sailfish that are more common in winter, start showing up.
Wouldn't go to that place without a Geiger Counter!!!!! It's still pretty radioactive. One gust of wind and one still hot but invisible particule breathed in and be sure to end up with lung cancer eventually..... In 1978, the level of radiation still present since the 1950's was still measuring of the scale... It's now 2022 and I bet that it hasn't changed much... It's a beautiful place but they made a right old mess of it.... Thanks UK....
Awesome footage
Webstar thanks for sharing mate.
Looks amazing. Tropical Paradise.
Thanks mate. It is so beautiful over there

@@webbysweekendadventures haha 7 hours?! Fair chance I would have been spewing at hour 3! Is there a time of year that’s better than others? Mid year?

@@TheOzzieRob they advise you dont stay on the main Islands for more than an hour, and not to touch any of the scrap metal
What could have been a good video ruined by the loud music making it difficult to hear commentary
Thankyou kindly for the feedback Peter. I will keep that in mind for future edits. Cheers
