HTP Jay, this video is far and away the BEST technical C5 water pump replacement video I have ever seen. Your patience, narration, description, attention to detail, background music and videography was superb. You are the human equivalent of a Helm, Inc. service or repair manual compared to a Haynes/Chilton service or repair manual. Thank you for producing and displaying this video! I too was getting the "security" trouble codes in my recently purchased 2001 'Vette and finally ameliorated that issue by purchasing a Factory VATS Key from my local Chevy dealer and having them cut it per the Factory Key Code. Works smooth as whipped butter and no more "security" trouble codes. (I measured the chip's resistance myself using my multi-meter) Also, I too am having fuel gauge issues. Apparently it's common on C5 'Vettes for the right-side saddle tank's fuel level sender to become corroded which at any point during driving, causes the fuel level indicator to drop to empty, turns on the red Check Gauges warning and throws a Code P1431 even though you KNOW it still has plenty of fuel. I'm currently treating the issue with mass quantities of Techron Plus and will begin fueling the car with Ethanol Free gasoline. During this time, as soon as I accumulate 200 miles, I re-fuel the car.
Great video man! Was gonna do myself but I live in a gated community and found out they wouldn’t allow me. I found a shop that replaced my water pump, radiator, install thermostat housing replaced both hoses and then new coolant for $300 labor for all inc taxes and bs shop fees that they don’t charge. Ps your gas gauge prolly quit working form carbon buildup on the sending unit. It happened to me 2x. I put in chevron Techron into the tank and it started working again both times. These cars require super unleaded otherwise the sending unit quits working from carbon build up. Try a bottle with half tank to 2/3 tank and then repeat again . Usually clears up the issue. If not your sending unit is bad or the gauge on dash. My oil temp gauge is intermittent also
At least your oil sending unit works !!! LOL I have all the same lights but i hit a hard bump one day then the security light comes on !!! Not sure what's up w/ that

Glad to hear you got it fixed, I tried everything for the fuel level sensor nothing has worked so I have a new fuel pump I have to install soon.
