Reminds me of a run where I had enough drones to exceed the drone cap, ended up killing AWU and got Spare Drone Parts, used a tricorn on stage 5 to get empathy cores when I was trying to get cherf, I just walked around for the rest of that run until I got bored and beat mithrix
for anyone trying to get this, consider scrapping empathy cores on stage 5 if you haven't found spare drone parts by then (or use it in a soup), especially if you have any other passive minion items (note: he does not take the halcyon seed). mithrix might not get droneman, but he still gets the probes.
The only criticism I have is that you effectively had a 20 min mithrix so I would like to see how this would do on something a bit more average to an E8 run(30-50 min w/5 min intervals) just to see how it works with the higher scaled mithrix Edit: to be clear I do see the power but I wanna see how it scales, no matter what this is a super strong point in favor of this build
20 min mithrix at 26 min _:)_ at 50 mins, mithrix would have 2.756 times as much health, while the drones would only deal 1.6875 times as much damage. this means that it would take 1.615 times longer to kill phase 1 and 2 mithrix. phase 3 mithrix however only has 1.725 times as much health, so it would only take 1.022 times as long (ignoring self damage). (note for phases 2 and 3: assuming time is frozen once the fight starts)
i had a run once where i had empathy cores, droneman, and 3 equipment drones, one having a preon and 2 having royal capacitor. it was..... very very good to say the least
Stomper + quail and you instakill all pre-loop bosses. Doesn't require you to buy anything or use anything. Also deals at least 30% damage to mithrix on direct hit.
@@dannadx3840 The only reason I think stomper + quail is worse is because it's a bit riskier. It is definitely pretty broken as well, but you're a bit more likely to end up in the middle of a swarm of enemies and be screwed.
I love both of these items, outside of just how viable they can be, I just think they're neat 😁 and on another note, I've always kinda felt bad for the closed-minded meta slaves in all games, I find they aren't having as much fun as they could be!
I was playing Captain with a friend of mine, by second loop I had about 10 drones or so total, 3 empathy cores, and 3 spare drone parts (insane RNG plus like 3 trophy hunters tricorns in multishops). Stage 10 everything was dying as it spawned in front of me. My friend playing Railgunner was tickling enemies, and my drones were just driving by one-shotting everything. It was a very silly run.
That has to be my favorite red item in the game. Every single time I get it I'm able to get a god run, no matter what. Easily the most consistent item in the game, people just don't buy drones so they never get to see it's effects. Super underrated
another good combo with empathy cores is squid polyp and remote caffineator since you can repeatedly interact with them and they're all allies (although bungus does help with the uptime of the squids)
I think the reason this is so broken is that Empathy Cores' damage increase also applies to the gun that Spare Drone Parts gives them, which is absurd considering the gun is "balanced" around not having any other items to empower it.
I easily solod all the downpour runs with the choice mod on using these. Hit up equipment and always grab the big game hunter gun that drops boss relics on use, go straight for spare drone parts + empathy cores and the drones will auto kill everything as they spawn
I think Droneman is unironically pretty good, but I think it's doing most of the work here. My problem is that getting a specific Red, and then getting a Yellow from a Boss that doesn't spawn until stage 4 and only on 2 stages on the entire game. I'm hoping that by the time I get to stage 4 my Run is already looking pretty good. I'm not saying its bad, but I think its just way too unlikely to be a practical strategy.
i mean its just something that you can go for if you see it. You're correct in saying its not something you can do every run, but its good to be aware of. for example if you have cores, buying drone parts from a soup might be a good call, or using a tricorn on a solus if you already have drone parts.
Printers also exist. I've gotten Genesis Loop/Knurls/Queen's Gland Stage 1 and then an Empathy Core Printer on Stage 2 in DOZENS of runs. (It's honestly the most common item I've seen in yellow printers lmao)
If you enjoy playing Loader then just one ceremonial dagger, one frost relic and one razorwire and as many topaz broches you can get, and you are instantly invincible against anything. Everything dies around you immediately. Tri-tip daggers and Lens-Makers Glasses make this truly unstoppable you could go as many stages as you like.
I'll do you one better: Hellfire Tincture/Repulsion Armor Plate/Planula and as many Razorwires as you can get. Constantly heal from Planula proccing on Tincture damage ticks, and wipe the map with Razorwires.

This is probably a terrific combo, right up until my stupid game glitched AND ALL MY DRONES DECIDED THEY HAD A PEACE TREATY WITH LUNARS!!! WTF?! How are my drones just randomly deciding they aren't going to fire anymore??? Like "Nah, you're cool and all, but these moon boys are my homies. I can't just come up here and start wrecking them." Needless to say the perfected chimera made a pincushion out of my Captain.
Even the armaghedon mod is a joke when using this combo, all the difficulty of the game comes form the scaling of the enemies and when your drones scale at same speed it cancels it out.
at the end of an obliteration run i had 2.4 million damage. my drones with this combo had 10 million damage. i thought they were bugged or some shit lmao. i had 2 empathy cores

@@a_cats engineer needs some sustain to account for the turrets 30 second wait timer unless you wanna play rng with bandoliers, and you typically want to not have to keep replacing your turrets when youre hunkered down and playing tower defense for awhile. but I hear your point as the turrets can be one shot pretty easily.

Allies increase the base damage stat of the empathy cores, not the damage scaling of the laser. Based on that understanding, the chain gun should definitely increase in damage with allies. This also checks with my experience and the damage done in this video, so I'm pretty confident in it.

a lot of it just takes practice, (if you didnt know this, loader can be charging gauntlet while sprinting, if you play on pc might be helpful to make a separate bind for sprint so you dont have to press ctrl and shift at the same time), you can get a quick punch in right after he shoots, then just run around the arena until your skills are off cooldown, and do it again. alternatively royal captictor, crowdfunder, and disposable missile launcher, can work wonders phase 4

Hey disputed this is the guy from twitch who has only beat mul t e1, but i have been trying my best to beat loader e1, but keep dying to phase 4, any tips?
Double nail guns with power stance, transcendence, plasma shrimp. It is very satisfying
a lot of it just takes practice, (if you didnt know this, loader can be charging gauntlet while sprinting, if you play on pc might be helpful to make a separate bind for sprint so you dont have to press ctrl and shift at the same time), you can get a quick punch in right after he shoots, then just run around the arena until your skills are off cooldown, and do it again. alternatively royal captictor, crowdfunder, and disposable missile launcher, can work wonders phase 4
