I can't understand a word, doesn't matter, she sings beautiful in any language❤️🎶 In Norway the children learn english very early in school as a first foreign language, and I think later it's possible to choose another language (was in my time anyway) but I guess she's learned japanese from her family. Always great watching your reactions😊

I have heard that her Mom and uncle frequently speak in Japanese. They were brought up in Japan. It is likely that Angelina has picked up on some of the language, and the accent.
Thanks for choosing this beautiful song for your nice reaction, Matt. This is a lovely interpretation of Angelina, obviously the Japanese does not create problems for her, she is really incredible, with a whispered interpretation, beautiful and soft like the sound of the surf of the sea on a beach at night in the moonlight. it's truly a memorable sight, which I guess Japanese viewers have enjoyed. Angelina's version is softer than that of the Misora Hibari. The Japan language in reality it's an added value of the family. ❤️ 😊
Angelina was 11 or 12, when she sang this song in Osaka, Japan. Unfortunately, it’s not a complete version of “Like a River Flows”. From what we know from interviews, she actually speaks Norwegian, Swedish (her father is Swedish), English, and Farsi. She sings this song without an accent but she sadly she says she is not fluent in Japanese. See the short on stage interview in the longer version of this clip where she is asked if she speaks Japanese - ua-cam.com/video/pTvHLNJ5f2s/v-deo.html
It boggles the mind to think that Angelina's beautiful, relevant Debut single 'MILLION MILES" is being overshadowed by a cute teen song "DRIVERS LICENSE" by Olivia Rodrigo which shot to #1 on Spotify overnight. No sane, mature adult would ever buy that nonsense, but teens are eating it up. I feel so bad for Angelina. I hope she has her new album coming out soon.
It's like comparing a marathon to a sprint.... "Million Miles" will be slow and steady and last over time, while "Drivers License" will be quick and finished....
I believe she is 11 here, not 13. Her maternal Japanese grandpa (Mery Zamoni's husband), was still alive then, but died in Nov 2019, a month after she taped her AGT-C performances. Million Miles is about the loss of him. Her paternal grandpa died a couple of years earlier & she dedicated You Were Always On My Mind to him. BTW, some in the audience that day said she sang without a noticeable accent, which blows my mind. It's one thing to sing in Japanese, but it's another thing to sound like like you were a native speaker. Sara, Mery & Michael all speak Japanese, so I'm sure she had a lot of help from them with her pronunciations.
👍😊❤️

細く長い この道 _hosoku nagai kono michi_ This long and narrow road
振り返れば 遥か遠く _furikaere ba haruka tooku_ Whenever I look back

でこぼこ道や _dekoboko michi ya_ This is a rugged road
曲がりくねった道 _magarikunetta michi_ A winding road
地図さえない _chizu saenai_ And there’s no map
それもまた 人生 _sore mo mata jinsei_ Well, that is life
ああ 川の流れのように _aa kawa no nagare no you ni_ A-ah, like the flowing river
おだやかに _odayaka ni_ Calmly

Keith Serafy said in his comments that her family spoke Japanese often.
I didn't understand a word, but it's not necessary to enjoy her beautiful voice. She is unique.
Music spans all languages
It was filmed with "fanCam" - But thanks for your reation, and fine channel! Angelina was 11 yars old here.
Thanks and hope to see you at our live streams, Tuesdays thru Saturdays starting at 8PM EST

Her mother's father was Japanese so you have to think Japanese was spoken often around the house
That in itself is just a plain Holy Crap.

Just remarkable
11 here and could also speak Farsi and Swedish..her brain is large. Lol,
Angelina is a prodigy for sure.

Sadly there has never been a correlation between talent and popularity
She also speek farzi (persisk)

Thnx!
Many thanks for the information.
Does anyone know anything about that concert? Was this the only song she sang?
As far as I know it was the only song she sang. She got favorable reviews from the Japanese music critics
@@OrganicReactionz thnx!
