This is one of the first fully 3d fighting games on 5th gen console. Other fighting games of the era had 3d models but would move in 2d. I played this when it first came out and when others say this isn't as good as killer instinct or smash bros for the console, they are right, however, I don't think the 3d movement gets the credit for being as cool as it was at the time.
Virtua Fighter 1 was released in 1993 and was fully 3D. Tekken 3, Soul Bklade ( Soul Calibur), Virtua Fighter 2, Dead or Alive 1 ad Bloody Roar that were also fully 3D and came couple of years earlier. This Xena fighthing game was not one of the first and it was not good at all.
@@BestofCalcioIT they were 3d characters but did not move in 3 dimensions freely. More of a 2.5d style of movement. This was one of the first where you can move freely in 3 dimensions. I don't even like the game, so I don't care if you like it, but you're incorrect about the 3d gameplay.
Huge Xena fan but I a.ways thought the game was not visually good and the voice did not sound like Lucy Lawless as Xena. It was trying to be like a street fighter game when a platform game would have suited it more.
I still have this game and my Nintendo, 64 ❤❤❤❤

Never knew they had a Xena game, but considering they made a Hercules one, this should've been expected.
There's actually a really good Xena swashbuckling adventure game for PS1!

Used the play this using joxer, mastered his combos and boy it was a blast, miss those days
