Planning on attending UND for their commercial aviation program next year! Would you recommend it?

Hey looking through a bunch of aviation colleges. I want to go here to fly but at the same time I was go somewhere else. My main worry is the living situation such as dorm and especially BATHROOM SHOWERS. How are they here?

Depends on the dorm you're in but I shared my bathroom with 4 other dudes. The showers are not that big of a deal. You can always wear slides or flip flops or something in the shower though if you're concerned with it. Don't sweat it. I enjoyed my time in the dorms and would do it again in a heartbeat.

A majority of the dorms are new and the showers are nice! Just remember to clean up and you are golden

I just got my Acceptance letter to Commercial aviation for fall 2023 semester and I'm pretty excited to leave the Air force and start this new Journey. How is the winter flying though?

That’s awesome bro! Enjoy it. Winter flying? That’s nonexistent. Jk, but it can be hard to come by between November and March. It’s called no-fly November for a reason. I definitely recommend staying the summers and always flying as much as you can when the weather is decent. Try as hard as you can to finish every flight course in a single semester. Don’t take no for an answer, in a professional way of course. Some things will suck, you will have a bad CFI or two at some point, and you will probably unsat a stage check or two, but that’s the way it goes for everyone. People will complain but that’s always the case no matter where you go. Always stay positive and goal oriented. UND is a great school but try to get involved with aviation outside of UND as well, join the EAA chapter 1342 there, or rent the plane at crookston if you have the means. I would recommend trying to get your PPL before you go to UND if you can afford it, but if you do to make sure your finish it before you start at UND. Stay warm!

@@enterviawatergate4089 I'm a guy who didnt do any of the advice given and I still turned out ok. But it's great advice. UND has excellent training. Whatever you choose, enjoy campus. Grand Forks is fun.

How hard is it to get on the aerobatics team? I feel like it would be a super cool experience.

It’s not too hard, but it takes some effort if you want to make it to competition. Start attending practices and take the aerobatics course and go from there!
