I have just stumbled onto succulents. I did not realize how many there are. Your video was fascinating I'm going to watch it over again and over again and over again. Thank you for the information you have given
I am a plant lover ! I enjoyed your videos of these 2 huge wonderful nurseries very very much ! I can spend hours and days walking and watching every single one of those plants from these nurseries ! THANKS A LOT ! 🥰😍😍❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yayyyy!!! I'm so glad you enjoy these nursery videos because I'm exactly the same! I have watched so many plant and plant shopping videos, I can't get enough! (And now I'm contributing to the obsession 😁)
Yesssss! I'm glad you appreciate the long videos! These take extra long to make and edit and upload/download and all that good stuff. This makes it all worthwhile!
YESS I LOVE WHITFIL!!! so happy I live right around the corner from it!! I also only have a 2 minute walk from summerwind I love their selection of seeds
I really enjoyed your video tour of 2 nurseries. They have very nice plants. You did a wonderful job filming given how hot it was. Good selection of pots reasonable prices.
I'm so glad you enjoyed this shopping trip, Tessie! I'm really ready for cooler weather.. it'll be nice to not have to worry about sun exposure while loving on the plants 💚
I enjoyed this video tour of these 2 nurseries. They have some nice plants. You did an excellent job filming with the heat and packing your gear. Thanks for showing those beautiful tropical houseplants as well. I love both the tropicals and cacti. You seem to know the tropical plant names well. We have been getting in the 30s here at night so fall has definitely arrived in Virginia! Thanks for taking us along on your shopping tours.
Thank you so much for the feedback! This is very encouraging for more future shopping videos. 30 degrees already?? It must be so beautiful with all the fall colors though.
Thanks for the Local nursery tour. I like that you tell he prices for each item. Perlite is so expensive. I keep thinking there must be some place out in the desert that cinder or a perlite type substitute can be found. I’m currently cactus obsessed. Purchased a Mexican fence post cactus today. See if it will grow in cool coastal Orange County Ca. Climate. Great video.
Welcome to the obsession, Warren! Southern California has many cool nurseries that I hope to be able to check in the future at some point. Have you visited them before? I have collected granite-like rocks from my parents' yard before, actually, I need to go get more, so there's definitely natural material available instead of always having to buy it. I just don't know the regulations on collecting such material, but I have my parents permission heeheehee.
@@cookiescacti Thanks CC ! I haven’t been to any cactus specialty nurseries yet.. oh , I did go to one in Palm Springs once. There are probably some good specialty nurseries in north San Diego county. Most of the nurseries in my area don’t specialize and only have small amounts of cactus and tropical plants. I live about 3 miles from the coast, we don’t get frost or freezes much. However in the spring we get cool overcast days and don’t heat up most years till mid July. Not ideal for many some cactus types. I had a six inch Saguaro here in a pot in coastal Orange County for many years, but I couldn’t get it to grow. It now lives in AZ with my sister. Here in my area, I’ve noticed The South African candilloba cactus does well. There are big ones around town. AZ seems like a great location to geek out over cactus. CC I’m glad your parents are supportive of your hobby. If things ever wear thin at the Parents house, there’s lots more rocks on BLM public land. Lol I’ve been to Surprise Az twice but didn’t see or have time to check out any cool nurseries on the west side. By the way, your cat reaction to seeing herself on TV was funny. Looking forward to another video sometime. 😎🌵
Hello from Arizona! I'm so glad you enjoy these shopping trips! And thank you for the feedback. I just recorded another shopping video (it's in the middle of uploading right now) and forgot to plug in my external mic 🤦
You did a great job with the camera. You moved slow enough and then zoomed in for the closeups as you spoke. No problem with the microphone. Everything was nice and clear and didn't hear any of the wind. I appreciate that you video taped this trip. I find it so interesting to see all the cacti that are available in Arizona. I am in Florida and we don't see too many of those out here especially in the gallon and two gallon sizes. You're right about the regular box stores not carrying the different shaped and colored terra cotta pots . Summerwinds prices are great. I have never seen pumice and horticultural sand for sale in a retail store. Makes me want to drive out there and stock up. Hope that you hydrated yourself after being out in the sun and heat.
Hello from Arizona! That is so cool that you're watching all the way from Florida. I find it so much fun to see what other cities and states have. I hope you have a chance to come visit! Bring a truck 😉
For this video I used a GoPro with a media mod so I can plug in a microphone. For my videos where I zoom in and earlier videos, it's a Panasonic hc-v180 that I bought years ago. No external mic on the Panasonic
Sanpedro is prime graft stock And at them sizes they will push like crazy. I woulda bought lile 4 or 5 of them since in canada something that thick is usualy 100s of dollars
Good question! I tend to gravitate towards succulent-like houseplants. They have to be able to live without a lot of attention and without frequent watering needs. I don't know! There's something about cactus that draws me in but anything with leaves not as much.

Welcome to the world of cactus and succulents! It is a bottomless rabbit hole that only gets more interesting the deeper you go. Enjoy, Teresa!

I love that this is 1 hour long! never getting tired of cacti 🫢🫢😂😂
Yay! I'm so glad you like the long ones! It makes it all worth it! 💚💚💚
Yesss another long video! Can’t wait to settle in and enjoy!

Whattt lucky! If I lived that close I'd probably find myself taking a walk over there all the time. I wouldn't be able to fight the temptation!

I love SummerWinds! Thank you for the tour!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the shopping trip! I love Summerwinds too, always a joy to browse their shop and property

Good vidéo. Thanks. What camera and audio microphone equipment do you use for your YT vlogs?

You did very well identifying the houseplants even though it’s not your specialty.
Thank you! 💚💚💚

Ohh this is really good know! I'm glad you're able to answer my question. Hmm maybe I should give it a try...
tip, check out your local hydroponics store, if they carry Build A Soil brand theyll likely have the 3/8 pumice
This is a great tip! I know some folks who buy pumice from hydroponic stores here. I'll definitely check one out so I can compare prices.
Whau,,,! I agree they are so cool !!
💚💚💚 I can only agree 😁
Nice map, fantastic graphics, nice game play, a lot of cool artifacts and useful bonuses. What is the name of this video game?
Ha!! This is the most unique comment yet! Does the video feel immersive?
@@cookiescacti Yep. I enjoyed it. :-)
Thank you for noting the prices.
You're very welcome! I'm glad you appreciate those details (it's what I always want to know when I watch other people's plant shopping videos.)
Loved this tour! Surprised we didn’t find any astrophytum!
That's a great observation. I don't think I've ever seen Astrophytum at these nurseries before.
The mammillaria split into 3 wow 😮 I’ve never even seen that around here.
Isn't it so cool? I remember the first time I saw a mamm split like this and was totally mesmerized
That's a nice place!
I'm glad you enjoyed the shopping trip, Terry! It was good to get out there again.
What do you do with creeping devil? You could put it on your table, paint a hexagon, then worship it. or plant it then throw rocks at it.
😂😂😂😂 I was literally chuckling as I read to your last sentence!
Those prices for the pottery are awesome! Lucky lol
That is good to know! I always get price shocked at pottery but then I turn around and spend a fortune on artisan pottery lol
@@cookiescacti yeah pottery is so expensive but those are great prices. I’m in Va by dc and a small bonsai planter could be like 35.
Are there cactus nurseries or nurseries that carry cactus in your area?
You are a racing girl😀👍I like women who drive fast😅🚔👍Very nice Video👍💚😻
Ha! Everyone in Arizona drives super fast. I try to fit in 😁 I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. And dang you're fast to comment!
Хорошее видео. Привет из России. Люблю кактусы.
Hello from Arizona! We love cacti! 🌵🌵🌵
Lol.. I can't bend down either because of my back but my phone and cameras have a zoom.. lol
Well the thing is... This camera may be one of the few without zoom capabilities, it's a GoPro. I just got it a month ago, still learning to use it.
Uh a long one! I need to make caffee befor i start
😂😂😂 Anders! Hope the kids are out playing
How come you’re not into house plants? I have one of each species almost.
Good question! I tend to gravitate towards succulent-like houseplants. They have to be able to live without a lot of attention and without frequent watering needs. I don't know! There's something about cactus that draws me in but anything with leaves not as much.
lithops and succulents are difficult to survive and need special attention, but cacti are a little stronger
I struggle much more with succulents than cactus!
Lithops…almost never water them. Like once a month just a little. They hate to get wet.
The ones I neglect and forget are the ones that stay alive 😁
Im jealous! lol
😂😂😂 you have to visit Arizona and do the nursery round some time! (And bring a truck)
I wish I knew the secret to keeping string of plants alive too 😕
What has your been your challenge with the strings so far? I'm too scared of them to try (and also don't know where to keep them...)
🥰🥰👍
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Весьма обычный, даже неинтересный магазин, что касается кактусов. Всё равно "лайк".
Pothos? Is that you?
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Sunscreen, hat and water help.
Thanks!
