To engage your core 🔥, try tightening the muscles in your abdomen as if you were preparing to receive a light punch 🥊 Maintain this contraction while breathing 😮💨 normally and keeping your spine in a neutral position. You can practice this during exercises like planks, or even while sitting or standing throughout the day to improve core strength and stability. 💪🏽
Engaging your core during exercise is crucial because it stabilizes your spine and supports your entire body. It helps maintain proper alignment, prevents injuries # ❤️🩹 , and improves overall strength and balance. By activating the core muscles, you create a solid foundation for movement, enhancing the effectiveness of your workout and reducing the strain on other muscle groups.
I hope this little tip helps you as it helped me 💙

Thank you so much. Too many times directions are given but not explained.
what are you talking about he still doesn't explain it.
Engage your core by starting to say “stop” but only saying “s,” prolong the s sound for a few seconds until you feel your muscles in your stomach flex. That’s what i learned
Why is it hard for me to breathe whenever i tried to engage my core😢
The best way to learn the engage your core is a complete exhale.
Your core strength is weak. As your core gets stronger it will be literally easier to breathe.
Try to make the s sound like a hissing snake, but prolong the sound. When you make this sound, your muscles in your stomach will flex. Keep them flex and try to breathe normally while doing so
@@OldGuy555 Can you explain more about this please?
@@mihawksanklebiter damm bro that worked like a charm thank you never felt my core engaged that much in exercise. i used to take deep breath then tighten my core and preform 1 or 2 reps then breath again. but it prolonged wrokout too much. your advice is much apreciated.
Thank you for this tip!
Great explanation. Thank you.
Thank you!!
Dude thank you SO much

Terrific explanation.
Great Channel. Thank You ! Please show excercises for Calcific Tendonitis.
This helped like nothing else!
Exellent example. How much core engaging is harmful? As in not relaxing and always being in tense mode?
Ty bro
Thankssssss
😦So...how do I engage my core?😤 ("bracing your core") what does that mean?😤
Agreed this worthless guy didn't actually explain it at all.
Yeah not sure either. I think it’s like “sucking in”
Oh! Also doing “kegels” at the same time lol which is… when you have to go potty but are holding it. That’s the muscle being used. So engage the pelvic muscle like you’re trying to hold your poop in lol while also engaging your core by sucking in and keeping back straight. Hope that helps 💜👍
Weird. It didn’t post my original reply. But I was just saying it’s like sucking in
@@lmacnotw lol yeah I got it, I been sucking in all day (off and on), so much so, my 2y/o granddaughter is "sucking in" also, we are so funny today - pray for us!!! Thanks for the tips - be safe and take care
For me, I inhale then exhale making /s/ sound. That's how I feel my core is engaged
Also a trick to learn is to imagine that you have to balance a glass of water on your belly.
Why do I feel like I cant catch a full breath/inhale fully, when engaging core?
Once in a dance workshop the trainer told me to imagine your zipping your pants and it worked, that way I realised I was able to engage my core as well as breathe at the same time.
She gave us tips like you can do this while walking also so you maximise the benefits.
