I see that the many plus points of the Bsa were quite downplayed. Plus it has to be compared with either the Interceptor or super meteor 650 ,not both at the same time. I used to own an interceptor it was heavy and it's economics become too odd if you ride it in hills . It wasn't comfortable for pillion or the rider whereas Bsa is far more sorted. Bsa on the other hand is lighter , easy to ride plenty of torque good enough highway speed. And enough room to have saddle bags compared to the Interceptor where the upswept pipes interfere. Also the Supermetoer is only a highway oriented bike ,too heavy , low ground cleance , high turning radius. Bsa can match for practical speeds over 120 km hr Bsa delivers torque much earlier where it is much needed. A twin shine quite late in speeds over 120km per hour , we really don't need that litlle extra advantage when it comes too late . Vibration or character? Whenever one comes form a smoother engine ,we feel the change in an exxagerated way ...too much is unnecessarily made out of vibrations (unless it is the old bullet 350)..we ride a motorcycle or else better ride electric motorcycles . Point is super smooth engines feel souless .By making vibration as the sole point of superiority of an engine over the other is a completely misplaced. BSA s only problem is the service network and teething issues . The only factor someone would buy twin cylinder is the typical mentality of getting two cylinders over one . I do kot think that s the way motorcycles should be judged . In your video, you have reduced Bsa as only a city bike and I don't agree . In my view it's an all rounder. One bike that ca do everything except heavy off roading. Where suspension can be a issue but again Interceptor has weight to it's Disadantage and the supermeteor has weight and low ground clearance . The video could have been a more matured one .
Its only after 120 you feel vibes - it can go till 160. The thing is , vibes never become a problem in-terms of downgrading the ride experience .. it somehow feels very good and full of character. I cant say that for any other single cylinder in the market .. (this category of classic machines)
Nice one! I own the shadow black varient, thankfully the exhaust is powder coated in black, so it kind of acts as a heat insulator preventing the burns that you experienced. I switched to jawa's bar end mirrors it reduced mirror vibration considerably. My main concern is the lack of centre stand tbh. I am petrified if it gets punctured I will be screwed. Even the RSA won't be of help because the generic paddock doesn't work on this bike.
I agree that it appeals to people who have already experienced other bigger bikes and just want a single cylinder thumper to add to their garage. Amazing video. Just that you guys didn't cover pillion comfort. Stuart Fillingham says this is more comfortable for a pillion than a Classic 350.
Pls listen people, just took delivery, poor service from the brand, scratches in the new bike, not all the accessories are available, fog made in the odo on the first day of delivery, its heartbroken when i see my money spent on this bike💔, better go with Re or wait for 2025 interceptor.
Only those who can appreciate the flickablity, And character of a single cylinder will buy this. Coz from a price standpoint, twin cylinder machines operating at the same price range, will attract 95% of buyers. Twin has its own charm, and so does a single .

agreed
agreed brother. a very sensible review. we must not let BSA die. we can learn repairing and make owning it a hell lot of fun.
Good News ❤❤❤ BSA showcased * B65 * Scrambler in EICMA 2024.😊
Amazing content! At what speed the vibration kicks in?

Largest is the ducati right..
In india we dont hv roads for speeds >100 kmph, in that sense its a perfect overdesign
Yep..
Drive honda hyness ❤
Did you or anyone you know have ANY problems with the electrical equipment/system?. I ask because there are alot of videos about the electrics.
Primarily we waned to share experiences on the ride and character if machine
Comparing it with super meteor makes no sense.. neither the form factor nor the price bracket

BSA = bermingham small arms.
Does lane discipline not exist? Use your turn signal indicators when switching lanes SMH. Bikers! fml
All new classic 650 will be worth the money rather than purchasing this bike
