      @@medicalmarvelsmedia3 , I'm unfamiliar with those except Gouda and Jarlsberg but I would like to give them a shot. I get the latter at Costco, it's under $6.50/lb but when it comes on sale,you save quite a bit for the whole chunk. The Gouda is in fact lesser, if my memory serves me well. The Jarlsberg has no lactose, that's outstanding and I like its nutty taste.

    The types of cheeses the average shopper hears most about are Cheddar, Mozzarella, Swiss, Fontina.
    The findings of a large international study, suggests that adult women who eat larger amounts of certain higher fermented dairy foods like yogurt (plain), cottage cheese, ricotta cheese reportedly have a "moderately" lower risk of developing an ER- negative type breast cancer, which tend to grow fast and have fewer treatment options. ♋

      I'm glad you found the information helpful! Certain cheeses, particularly those high in probiotics and other beneficial compounds, may have potential cancer-fighting properties. Goat cheese, which is easier to digest for those who are lactose intolerant, can also be a good option. • @medicalmarvelsmedia3
      @medicalmarvelsmedia3  25 днів тому

      Yes, it's important to research and understand how dairy products might affect health. Some studies suggest a potential link between high dairy consumption and an increased risk of prostate issues, including prostate cancer. This might be due to the hormones in dairy or high calcium intake. However, other research shows mixed results. Moderation and choosing lower-fat dairy options might help mitigate risks. Always consult with a healthcare provider for personalized advice.

    I understand that not all cheese is good against cancer, and it is not the cheese but the nisin that is in it as a preservative .One and a half to two ounces of this is also recommended (Camembert, Brie) Is that true?😊

    • @medicalmarvelsmedia3
      @medicalmarvelsmedia3  25 днів тому +2

      Yes, you are correct that not all cheeses have cancer-fighting properties, and the benefits often come from specific compounds within the cheese. Nisin, a natural preservative found in some cheeses like Camembert and Brie, has shown potential in research for its antibacterial and possibly anticancer properties. Consuming 1.5 to 2 ounces of these cheeses can provide these benefits. However, it's important to maintain a balanced diet and consult with a healthcare provider for personalized advice.

    • @medicalmarvelsmedia3
      @medicalmarvelsmedia3  25 днів тому +4

      Freezing cheese can affect its texture and flavor, but it generally doesn't kill off all the beneficial bacteria. Some probiotics may become inactive during freezing, but many will survive and become active again once the cheese is thawed. To preserve the quality of your cheese, try buying smaller quantities more frequently or storing it in the fridge in an airtight container.

      Yes, there are vegan options that provide similar benefits to cheese. Nutritional yeast is rich in B vitamins and has a cheesy flavor. Fortified plant milks offer calcium, vitamin D, and B12. • @medicalmarvelsmedia3
      @medicalmarvelsmedia3  24 дні тому +2

      The amount of cheese that should be eaten daily can vary based on individual dietary needs and health goals. Generally, moderation is key. A common recommendation is to limit cheese intake to about 1 to 2 ounces (28 to 56 grams) per day. This allows you to enjoy the nutritional benefits of cheese, such as calcium and protein, without consuming too much saturated fat or calories.

    Does the unhealthy lactose and hormones etc in these non organic cheese outweigh the other benefits tho.?

    • @medicalmarvelsmedia3
      @medicalmarvelsmedia3  25 днів тому

      Non-organic cheese may contain higher levels of hormones and antibiotics compared to organic varieties, which can be a concern for some people. While cheese can offer beneficial nutrients like calcium, protein, and probiotics, these potential negatives might outweigh the benefits for certain individuals. If you're concerned about these issues, opting for organic cheese can help minimize exposure to unwanted hormones and antibiotics while still providing the nutritional benefits.

    • @medicalmarvelsmedia3
      @medicalmarvelsmedia3  25 днів тому

      If you have a dairy allergy, it's generally best to avoid cheese, as it contains dairy proteins that can trigger allergic reactions. However, there are dairy-free cheese alternatives made from ingredients like nuts, soy, or coconut that might be suitable for you. These alternatives are designed to mimic the taste and texture of cheese without containing dairy.

    • @medicalmarvelsmedia3
      @medicalmarvelsmedia3  25 днів тому

      Yes, the nutritional content of goat and sheep cheeses can differ from cow cheese, but they still offer many benefits. Goat and sheep cheeses are often easier to digest for people who are sensitive to cow dairy. They tend to have slightly different fat compositions and may contain more medium-chain fatty acids, which can be easier to metabolize. Both goat and sheep cheeses also provide calcium, protein, and beneficial probiotics, making them healthy alternatives to cow cheese.

    So if the cheese is pasteurized and made in the US it's no good?

    • @medicalmarvelsmedia3
      @medicalmarvelsmedia3  24 дні тому +1

      Pasteurized cheese made in the US can still be a healthy part of your diet. Pasteurization kills harmful bacteria, making the cheese safer to eat, but it may also reduce some beneficial bacteria. However, pasteurized cheeses still provide essential nutrients like calcium, protein, and vitamins. If you prefer cheeses with beneficial probiotics, you might opt for aged cheeses or those specifically labeled as containing live cultures. Always choose high-quality cheese, whether pasteurized or not, and consume it in moderation as part of a balanced diet.

    Cheddar cheese, or jack cheese?

    • @medicalmarvelsmedia3
      @medicalmarvelsmedia3  25 днів тому +2

      Both Cheddar and Jack cheese have their benefits. Cheddar offers a rich, sharp flavor and is packed with calcium and protein. Jack cheese, milder and buttery, also provides essential nutrients. If you're looking for a lower lactose option, Jack cheese might be easier to digest. Both can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet.

    Apparently this is well intended. But if your AI voice cannot correctly pronounce the names of three common cheeses, how do we know we can trust the veracity of all you state? Jarlsberg is a mix of Gouda and Swiss-so buy both and eat them together? Depending on what part of the country you live in, buy three and spend $25-30. If it’s all about probiotics, it’s way cheaper buying a bottle of probiotics from one of the big stores. And tell our docs to stop telling us to cut down on cheese to lower cholesterol. Sounding more and more like you want us to choose between heart diseases and cancer. Is that really a choice? 0:03

      For individuals allergic to cow's milk, goat and sheep cheeses can be excellent alternatives. These cheeses are typically easier to digest and less likely to cause allergic reactions. Goat and sheep cheeses still offer essential nutrients like calcium, protein, and beneficial probiotics. They also contain different fat compositions, which might be easier to metabolize for some people. Including goat and sheep cheeses in your diet can provide the same health benefits without the issues associated with cow's milk allergies.

    • @medicalmarvelsmedia3
      @medicalmarvelsmedia3  25 днів тому +2

      To get real Gouda cheese, look for labels indicating it's from the Netherlands, such as "authentic," "Dutch," or "Holland" Gouda. Check for the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) label, which ensures traditional production methods. Visiting specialty cheese shops or buying from reputable Dutch brands can also help you find genuine Gouda cheese.

    • @medicalmarvelsmedia3

      Cheese, like other dairy products, can contain small amounts of natural hormones, including estrogen. There is some concern that high consumption of dairy might affect prostate health. However, the evidence is mixed, and moderation is key. If you are worried about hormone levels, consider reducing your intake of dairy or choosing plant-based alternatives. Always consult with a healthcare provider for personalized dietary advice.
