A couple of caveats I have found...it is a good idea to get at least a usb-c to usb-c and 3.5mm combo splitter. That way you can use the output to your mono splitter in addition to plugging in the power adapter.
Plz help! When pressing the headphone button on the iPad it is streaming as well to the main speakers ! I tried everything but my jack splitter doesn’t have the round cercle on it. Just a regular double jack cable. Is this the problem?
Question. I have a small 4-channel mixer. With a sound card input, but also is Bluetooth compatible, and has a headphone input. I want to be able to use the mixer as the sound output for the iPad, but still use headphones to cue. All using DJay Pro. Is this possible? Can’t seem to find any info this specific.
I looked and I cant find when you dont have an ipad pro video, I have a regular ipad and it has an headphone jack connection so what do I need to get for this ipad also if I use the ipad port for headphones how do I get power to the ipad also how do I connect my ssd with my library dont want to be limited to the ipad storage been that the ipad is the backup of the backup in case something goes terribly wrong on a gig
Okay so I just the DDJ 200 and I’m using djay app but my problem is I can’t hear out the headphones and my big speakers it’s like if I disconnect my big speakers via Bluetooth then the headphones will work but I need both to work at the same time I’ve done the in app setup for split auto still nothing. Can anyone help?
Hi, great tutorial and amazing content on the channel. Just recently got the "old vibe" of mixing again. Found the app a great way to run a few old routines. Noticed for queuing it only runs with the Pro version that comes with the subscription. I won't mind to buy but paying a subscription for a home\personal usage, doesn't work for me. Does anyone came across the same issue? Cheers
I hooked up the ipad pro with the proper splitter exactly like his instruction but when i use it i can barely hear the music on the head phones what am i doing wrong thank you.
Hey guys any idea how to connect iPad/pioneer wego/djay algorithms to Zoom? For live-streaming Can’t seem to access decent quality sound for outputting...
With a proper controller you can have normal stereo out, like with the ddj 1000 shown here or even with ddj 400. You just need an usb c to a adapter and connect to the ddj via usb, using the master out and the headphone sockets on the ddj, voila.
I use Djay Pro & I have the DDJ 200 & I have the pioneer DM 40 speakers but I still can’t hear thru my headphones only thru the speakers when I press master . HELP I have all the cords for my iPad Pro (2018)
Stereo output is available if you don’t use the headphone splitter. Unfortunately it’s the splitter that enables headphone use that puts it all in mono. Essentially the master comes out the left and the headphones out the right. It’s a shame but it does work. The alternative is to get a compatible controller.
I want to see connecting that iPad Pro to that controller (or any other controller) and mix with some music videos and output it to an external screen or a projector.
And how can I make stereo master and headphones output? Can I use an external sound card maybe connect 3.5 stereo jack to 3,5 sterejack input in sound card and from sound card output master and headphones? Exist this type sound card?
Hi there. what is the proper name of a controller app for a PA in a Church sound system which is the operator can control far away from the main system please?
Can the DDJ-1000 be hooked up to the IPAD pro and used in MIDI mode through USB? A shame if the job wheels and faders can't be used with on such powerful controller.
We tried the DDJ 1000 with the iPad and it didn't completely work. The faders and jog wheels worked but no audio came through the controller, just out of the iPad speakers. We tried it again on the Mac version of the Algoriddim DJ app and it worked well, could be a option for a DDJ 1000 user that doesn't want to use Rekordbox!
@@djholland4235 one trick if controller is not fully mapped to output sound and getting around iPad internal speaker output is to run the split cable out of headphone Jack, send the audio out to headphones on one end then take 3.5mm to rca and if you have a 4 channel mixer route the sound to deck 3 or 4 line in. You'll need to leave the fader open to get audio to feed to DJ speakers but you can mix with 3 other decks. I've done this with Djay Pro, not perfect but it works perfectly well.
DJ MONO, ha ha ha, In 2020....??? App Academy??? Guys just make sure the app is works with any DJ controller first and we can sorted out the charging with “Apple lightning to usb 3 camera adapter” Subscribe for nothing.....
This tutorial literally put me to sleep ( see the comments- way too confusing and not effective at all). Can you please recommend another video alternative of how to get this job done without all the blah blah blah? Appreciated & Thanks!

great tip, thanks
This has been brilliant! Thank you so much!
Is any video how exactly to connect to the DJ deck and what adapters need to be good to performance?
Oh FFS… I just saw this video. I could do this months ago. Anyway, big thanks Crossfader! 🙏🏼
Question:- how do you get effects to add into mixes? Like explosions etc?

Hi did you sort the problem I’m having the same trouble. Wen I cue it it still comes out the speakers really frustrating
@@user-lt9tx6ob8n yes i did. You need a SPLITER not a double jack. It looks like a double jack but with a circle where the 2 cables unite
For older iPad Pro version there is a headphone jack, we connect the mono split cable directly to ipad without any connector?
I know it has been a year, but yes. Older iPads just have TRRS sleeves for their audio out in 1/8th inch. The data will send the same.

Hey guys. My bose speaker has a delay when exporting audio, is there any way I can manipulate and fix this delay on the Djay app?
s00gf0o0 it’s probably because you didn’t use a cable to connect with your speaker. Btw you’d better use speakers with alternating current
Mono master out in 2019? I'm disappointed they couldn't think of a better solution to this
PowerStudios1000 exactly what I was thinking

How do you connect 2 speakers with the splitter, or can I only use one speaker?
Get a cheap mixer with multiple outputs

Buy a proper dj controller like the ddj 1000 shown here, or ddj 400, connect it with usb and use their master and headphone outs, they are stereo

Can I do this with a bluetooth speaker?
Lucas Souza you probably wouldn’t want to even if you can. There’s usually quite a bit of lag that makes beat matching difficult.
how could you do it in stereo though? using an iRig2?
Did you ever get an answer, to this, or figure it out?
How do you charge your iPad whilst djing if you are doing a long set?
jonny spinks how many days are you gonna play ?
Use an apple lightning to USB adaptor, it basically just gives you an extra port =)
With a usb 3 camera adapter. U can charge iPad but you also have a USB port now for midi conytoller and what not.
do you have any videos for the 3rd gen ipad pro 12.9"?
So basically I can dj without a laptop just a tablet and a ddj 400 ? And if I had no speaker just with headphones for practice?
You could practice in headphones but you can’t hear fx because it is not the master out , I practice with studio monitors
It doesn’t work for me, in both the left works or the rights ones
Can I somehow use Bluetooth speaker ?
I mean the Bluetooth speaker works but my headphones don’t if the Bluetooth speaker is connected
@@riccardomoschen5506 did you get an answer to this?
That usb c to 3,5 thing does what it should never do….it reduces the output volume significantly.
