Cry Worthy Moments on this album: When the St Elmo’s fire solo kicks in, when the title track; Another Green World washes over you, when Sombre Reptiles sets in, and finally, the BEAUTIFUL melancholic lyrics on Everything Merges with the night. My favorite album ever.

"The Big Ship" is one of the best tracks off of Another Green World

Fripp's guitar solo on St. Elmo's Fire ranks right up with any guitar solo in history. Incredible speed and precision, yet lyrical at the same time.

For my undergraduate music history essay, I wrote on the history of Ambient Music. As a result of that, I was very happy to research this album (and, by extension, No Pussyfooting). I'd already loved the album for some time, but it was a treat to look into the making of it.

Yes, but the narrator can't resist referring to other Eno albums. If you've only got three and a half minutes stick to the one album you are advertising. 30 minutes and you can bring in the others.

I love Brian Eno's "Thursday Afternoon." I would listen to it every night when I fell asleep. It was the spark of something incredible the first time I heard it as well, one of the first times I ever smoked. Incredible artist.

For me the best songs are "I'll come running", st.elmo's fire, the big Ship, and Becalmed, thus, Everything merges with the night, and golden hours are still brilliant... (the solo in Golden hours is totally dazzling)

14 seconds of "Spirits Drifting" while featuring an image of Discreet Music is very misleading. All in all though a good introduction for newbies but reveals nothing for those who have lived with this album for decades.

Bob McIntyre i have to agree with this, the info could be a little more complete, not a single mention of No Pussyfooting

"Better" is more subjective than "classic" and a classic doesn't necessarily need to be better than another album, does it?
