- Here is a new single from The King's Singers' upcoming album 'Finding Harmony', which explores songs from all of the world which have helped bring communities together and give them a voice in difficult times. This Scottish folksong, in the Gaelic language, was written by a highlander called John Cameron, who was forced to move away from his home in the violent times of the Highland Clearances, and sung this song to remind himself and others of the beautiful homeland they'd left.
The arrangement was written for The King's Singers by the Scottish composer Sir James MacMillan, whose charity Cumnock Tryst brings people together in Scotland each year to celebrate great music.
