I looked at all the stuff between me and the head light assembly and thought - this is going to be a massive project which I will undoubtedly screw up. This video is such a help - you have no idea. Thanks for putting together this self-help video. I was able to replace both bulbs in my 2019 Tahoe using your video. One thing I found was that it was easier to remove the connector (with a flathead screwdriver) on the passenger side bulb prior to loosening the locking ring on the bulb. Great video and thanks for saving me some money!
Great video! Very good explanations.and I was able to buy the bulb for $20 at auto parts shop and replace myself quickly and easily and saved the $40 for labor that repair shop charged last time. Thank you!
My Osram replacement bulbs did not come with the white ring which the old bulbs had. You may want to mention how to remove the white bulb keeper ring. Great video thank you. save me $400.00 bucks at the dealer.
The lock ring is stubborn, and hard to reinstall. Had to use multiple strategies to get it back on. Note: the bulb costs $135, it's delicate, and you'd better be super careful not to damage it while installing.
Good video. I found the ring on the drivers side real hard to get it to rotate to get the light out. Part of it was just getting my hand in there. I used a screw driver to get the leverage on one of those tabs to get it to rotate. The passenger side light didn't have much cable at all and that was a real challenge getting the electrical connector connected to the light with such a short cable. Also those gray clips on the connectors are basically impossible to use without braking them. I broke them off and hopefully it stays connected but I think it will.
Got to the filter and tried to move it easily like you did and nope, gave it some solid pulls upwards and nope. Not sure what to do. Frustrating cause it was the only between me and the light bulb. Any suggestions?
@@THANOS_Discipleno, I figured it was those molex plugs and I just wasn't tugging hard enough and at angles. The right light works and I compared the two and it wasn't much difference in brightness so I left it.
The white ring does not come with the new bulb assembly. You need to take the white ring from the old bulb and put it on the new one. Also, the cable isn't very long to enable taking the bulb out without disconnecting the wire.

Hi, any idea why my Denali passenger low beam keeps turning on an off i been having this problem for the last 3 days i don’t if its just the light bulb that its about to go off or its another issue
I would think the bulb is the most likely since a wiring issue typically shorts the system and blows a fuse. It may just be corrosion or a loose connection. pull up on the side facing the engine away from the side of the car/ Basically lean over the fender from the side, grab the engine-side of the box and pull up. There are 2 rubber press-grommet things there. The 3rd hold-down is a slider that releases when you slide the box towards the engine
Has anyone who has done this experienced uneven coverage after installing the new bulb? I put in a new bulb in the driver's side and the directional light is shooting towards the center line and almost leaves a void straight in front of the truck (so the light is favoring left of center and is much brighter there and leaving straight out in front a little dark). The auto parts place tried to sell me a small packet of grease to use to change the bulb. I didn't take it because you didn't use any in the video. What is your take on that packet of grease? Work like a charm !
Gracias por tus videos??
Unfortunately I had to take mine to the dealer as the cable on mine is so short I can't even get in there to get a screwdriver on the tabs as in the video his cable is long enough for you have full access to removing the plug mine no way
Video helped a lot thx.
Great video thank you!!
Good video but you missed taking off the brackets
See the video description
I must have missed it . Can you please tell me specifically where you demonstrated how to take off the bracket that fits into the headlight area
It's still a excellent video. Can I get a ❤️ if not thanks for your help 🙂
That air box doesn’t come off that easy
Also, the white turny things on the old light has to come off to put on new light
I put some addition instructions in the video description, but my box was probably removed Before I bought it and already loose.
Thanks
Thank you sir...............
We just need a light bulb change not the whole back part.
Make sure not to touch the bulb or you have a problem
This will help. Thx
Got to the filter and tried to move it easily like you did and nope, gave it some solid pulls upwards and nope. Not sure what to do. Frustrating cause it was the only between me and the light bulb. Any suggestions?
I found it in another video. There are two rubber grommets holding it down just a hard tug on the side toward the engine. No locking ring on the 2018 GMC Sierra as it is incorporated on the bulb box.
You can remove the bolts for the coolant tank and move it around to get more room to work
