Loved it thanks. Love seeing the snow. We actually had a downpour this afternoon here in southern Spain. Havent seen rain for months but the farmers need it so much. How organised are your Ikea kallax Carla! Vey impressive. I'm still buying the odd item from charity shops here but there is never a great choice of stuff unfortunately. Roll on our England trip when I can hit the boot sales and fill the car up (plus Easter eggs lol as sooo expensive here) xx
Prices in charity shop here in OZ have gone up so much, I see something turn it over for price and put it back lol, I remember one year on my birthday 3rd march when I was only about 10 back ho me in the UK it snowed we had great fun, now I have birthdays in the heat xxx
Agree about the prices in charity shops. I bought a like-new cashmere jumper for £10, which I was happy to pay. In another shop they had a used, slightly shrunken, bobbly cashmere jumper for £15. That’s a ridiculous price and obviously it’s now been there for ages. Darcy is adorable! 💖
Omg don't get me started on the prices in charity shops, some of the shops in my area think they are boutiques and prices to match. At the end of the day the stuff is given to them and its too expensive for the ones that really need the help, and she goes on and on.
Hey Carla. I also have the same issue with bras. I now get them in the USA from lane Bryant. I’m off in May so can get them for you if you need. I’ll message you on Facebook x
Hi Carla, brilliant vlog as always. Had to laugh when you said Darcey is all legs now, my son's pup is not quite 5 months, she has the longest tail and is all legs she looks so funny and constantly triping over her feet. Love your visitors to Caroline. Your banter has me in stitches. I can't wait to watch you 2
We have what was a very successful charity warehouse, where everything is £1. It's just acquired a new manager, who had the genius idea that if everything was increased to £5 an item, they'd make 5 times more!?! Unsurprisingly, 2 months later, they're having to consider revising that concept!
Love a mini waffle Carla - looking forward to seeing what you got at the ‘overpriced’ charity shops. I totally agree, same thing going on here in Canada - some items from Dollarama (similar to your Poundland) with the price tag still visible and the thrift store prices it at a higher amount, outrageous!
Hi Carla love your channel that bingo caller would send me to sleep . Are your knees playing up you look like you was struggling at Caroline’s when shopping xxxx
Charity shops are losing the plot! They are expensive and as you say often for too much for lower end merch. Would prefer to buy new in Primark Many head offices decide how much to charge regardless of area. A £1 rail would go down well. Often charities have a clearance outlet but only in some areas. loved the vlog.
Unfortunately it’s because they know people are resellers so they want the biggest profit, so everyone must suffer. They are not charities anymore they are businesses and their CEO’s have to earn big bucks sad but true. What a shame the storage unit must be eating into your profit big time. Oh my god that bingo caller would send me to sleep
I am sorry but that's piffle. Charity shops raise prizes because they want to make money, in the best case because this money goes towards good causes, in the worst case because they are greedy. And of course, their overheads have increased with everybody else's cost, they need to reflect that, too. And whether you like resellers or not, they can only sell things with a healthy margin as they invest their time and money, have to pay fees and taxes as well, so resellers need cheap inventory, not expensive stuff to sell. Only a very small proportion of inventory in the charity shops is of interest for resellers anyways. I do think most charity shops get it wrong nowadays, it certainly is too expensive for everybody. I think a charity shop with decent inventory and reasonable prices could make more because the turnover would be higher, especially in the current economic crisis.
Great vlog, Carla. Defo right about the charity shops. Your dogs are so cute. xx❤
You are so right about charity shops ridiculously too expensive xx
Omg that seaside blouse just reminded me i bought a new one if those couple years ago it still has tags on in wardrobe😱
I agree with you 💯 about charity shops. The price structure have gone crazily expensive 🎉❤

The inventory organization in the storage unit is impressive!
I’m sure your trip to Caroline’s did you both good. Xx

Lol I just commented to someone else that happens in the U.S. too. Ridiculous.
@@RKusmie64 - it definitely is, one of the national thrift stores has been investigated several times. I have stopped shopping there.
Oh, man. I would, too!
Just love,the doggie picture!
Darcy is thriving ❤
Oh snow at dawn what fun xxx cheri
I agree about the prices being charged by charity shops these days. BHF is one of the worst in my town!
Where did you get that printer for the labels?
Where is Caroline’s bright pink top from it’s really nice.
The bingo caller made me laugh. He sounds like he’s trying to hypnotise everyone.
Yes to run away with the money 😂
The bingo caller voice made me laugh I wouldn't have been able to concentrate 😂

@@willdo2909 I thought Charity shops were free of taxes
@@jacquiliddell7680 overheads are electricity, rent, water, waste etc. I am not sure if taxes are included in overheads.
