I’ve been on a mosaic kick for the last 4-5 months. Knitting and crochet. I crochet a full mosaic sweater. It’s sooo pretty and I get so many compliments on it.
I begun this morning creating a granny square ( my second). I’m now can say I’m able to crochet ( single crochet( the needle goes into the second stitch and (hc, goes into the third, (dc) goes into the fourth stitch. Yes I can believe I am now crocheting a bit. Now I’m please to say that after crying and trying I am now doing (slowly) a good looking granny square and a tiny bag ( not purposely done but when I was trying to create a magic square I ended up stitching tight tension. I’m unable to create those beautiful patterns Mrs. TL, because I have not jet know much. But I give myself a year to be able to make a scarf, a headband and a blanket. I love to watch Ms. TL because you make me smile! God blessed and happy holidays 🙏
Thank you for sharing your love of crocheting. I’ve been crocheting since I was a teenager (senior citizen now) and came across the Tunisian blankets. I love these stitches so have ordered the correct needles. Been trying the lattice stitch from your site of 4 years ago. I’m struggling but will get it. lol. Thank you. I feel you are so patient with me while showing me how to crochet it correctly.
Your intro is cracking me up! I'm frantically trying to finish a granny square blanket for my oldest daughter, a Barbie collector, before she gets in town in 3 days with her family. I'm using Barbie pink with black and white to represent the original Barbie black/white striped swim suit. Plus making your Starlight basket for youngest daughter, and two grandsons. I can complete by Christmas as long as I don't sleep between now and then.😆
2023 I crocheted an Entrelac blanket and loved it so much I promised to learn more about Tunisian technique. Thank you Toni. This CAL is why I will meet that goal. I’ll do more. I enjoyed the Tunisian process.
Hey, Toni. I just want to say this to you just before the year ends: the biggest reason why I follow you is, not due to the simplicity or complexity of your patterns, but the clarity and quality of your teachings. I’ve followed many a crochet creator before, but I was only able to learn certain stitches and patterns when I started actively following you this year. For those saying you only have “simple” patterns: I don’t have a problem with complex patterns, but you better have an easy to follow video tutorial and PDF pattern, otherwise you’re really just showing off and not really teaching me anything. Yet TL Yarn Crafts has both. I’ve also bought many a pattern from other crochet creators before, but sometimes they suck lols 😂 Your PDF patterns are easy to follow and has size adjustments so I can really customize my garments (I have a weird shaped body so I really have to adjust for different sections 😂). Anyway, happy holidays to you, Ms. Toni! 🎄✨
I love shell patterns and bobbles. I want to make the Tunisian blanket next year. I've been busy making shawls and jumpers this year. Same I think crochet cables look messy. I'll keep cables for my knitting
I'm on my last block for the snowy sampler, then I do need to go back and adjust a couple and finish blocking before I start assembly! I will say as tedious as Bamboo stitch was, I found the smock stitch way more difficult and really dragged on.
When I do houndstooth, I only turn after doing a row of each color, which allows me to carry the yarns. You do a front row with color 1, drop color 1. Attach color 2 at the beginning and do a front row with color 2 (sc in the dcs and dc in the scs, like normal). Turn and pick up color 1 and work across, then go back and pick up color 2 and work across. Repeat. It looks the same on both sides, which is cool, rather than having a different dominant color on each side. And you don't have all those ends to weave.
Question - How many skeins does the lion craft pound of love make? I’m not going to use the pound of love yarn and I’m trying to figure out how much yarn of each color I need to buy?
I have a question about how to keep the stitch count consistent when I get to the end of a row. Seems like my edges are in and out, as in not straight. I need help!
Thanks for the insights! Just a quick unrelated question: I have a okx wallet with USDT, and I have the 12wordphrase: ( proof inner hobby bounce blouse able donate virtual luggage cart morning ticket ). How can I move it to Binance?
In Germany we have Eggnog with alcohol in it. I’ve actually never tried non alcoholic Eggnog 🤷🏻♀️😂 anyway our eggnog with orange juice is sooo good. And then we also have a really good cake recipe for Easter with eggnog in it. 😋
White Christmas lights brighten up the tree the way that the rainbow lights do not, so I say both. :) Also, I just had to google shooting down a Christmas tree, and it's a real thing. ?!
41:18 "...and I walk into just about every project with like a Gemini level sense of confidence" hahaha this is me.

Mood blanket a great concept! The diary of a year in one's life.... Those descriptives are ultra-important.
