In the absence of a queen a drone can evolve into a full queen. The queen then emits a suppressive pheromone halting the evolution of the other drones. They in turn assume the role of partially evolved praetorians.
This level of technical detail/presentation reminds me of a Tom Clancy Novel. This is truly SciFi Horror Entertainment for adults. I saw the original movie while in high school and have been fascinated every since. Your contribution to the genre has been significant! Bravo. Keep it coming! It’s very much relished
its slightly incorrect as it merges the lifecycle of the Alien/Isolation xeno with the regular hiver xeno but that's not too big of a deal so you're still fairly qualified basically: alien/isolation xeno has eggmorphing and no queen others have queen but no eggmorphing

@I lost my faith in humanity and i hate you 2.5 Since I posted that comment my thoughts on this have changed. They're just 2 different interpretations of the same thing (the Alien/Alien Isolation ones are portrayed as being much harder to kill to fit with the horror themes, whereas the others are easier to kill to make them work better in action films) and they said there was a queen to make it fit better with the established canon. They definitely did eggmorph as well though, since they built a second nest after you break the original one
@I lost my faith in humanity and i hate you 2.5 I didn't know there were different types of xenomorph, I assumed there were only eggs, facehuggers, standard xenomorphs and queens (though of course standard xenomorphs and queens can vary based on what their host was) Where has it been stated in the Alien canon that there is a difference between warriors and drones?
All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the Corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I love the Corps!

This video was incredibly well made and very informative. Everything just works. The visuals, your commentary played off as a legit WY report, and the ambient music. On a side note, I would like to know what the name of the background music is. Would be awesome to listen to this while reading some of the Alien novels to add atmosphere. You did great man, keep it up.

If the facehugger’s acid is meant to burn through a small barrier to the host, say glass. How did the acid not burn off the host’s face within a second after melting through a helmet?
exactly, plot hole.. because in aliens, the novel, the frustrated facehugger can't get thru to newt's cryo chamber on the sulaco and ends up chipping a piece of glass off the side, which impales itself, killing it and thus causing the fire and why the sulaco crashes, setting the stage for Alien 3.
I don't think the dog Xenomorph's intelligence was less than the others. It took out the warden right after Ripley alerted them all to its presence, and it killed the right prisoner to start the fire which killed several inmates.
Miguel González Del Pino ... they were defeated, in space wars with the victor and scientific military, 200 years before Alien 4 (Alien Resurrection) as stated in that movie!! 🤔 It is the supposed military that will come to earth wondering why it's science cloning station of which, Ripley states, "Plenty of places to hide here!"
These videos are a geek fest. Well researched, relevant terminology and all the juicy bits pulled from the films, games and other media. Just, bravo. To the team or person behind these videos, BRAVO!
Xenomorphs are terrifying, extremely viscious and highly dangerous creatures...and yet they are somewhat elegant - almost even "beautiful", albeit in a VERY morbid and creepy way. I don't know how to put it. Anyhow, they're probably the best-designed monsters in cinematic history. Using Swiss artist Giger's eerie artwork & designs as an inspiration and his guidance along the way was absolutely perfect, it was the right decision. No wonder why they are so popular. Utter genious, timeless.
ok as a life long fan of the alien films, i have to say good job with this video. keep it up as im sure there are more you could do. for instance the colonial marines and there weapons, a general overview of the marines space ship, the mining ship ripley is in, so much more and i look forward to whats to come next
Very interesting way of covering everything found out about the species through all the movies. Also, clever that it's presented as a company information short, like most businesses use.
What annoyed me about the Ripley, Newt reunion in the earth wars is that Ripley would have been so much more happy to see Newt again. She loved Newt, she charged the alien hive and faced off with the queen to rescue her, with the installation about to go nuclear. They treat like they sat next to each other on a train home from work one day.
Just found your chan mate, this stuff is brilliant. The tone and presentation looks like it could easily be an easter egg on official movie blurays. Very enjoyable.
I think it makes more sense that the Xenomorph in Alien is a different but closely related species to the hiver species. All the hivers ever encountered came from that one facehugger that infected the colonist while all xenomorphs from other eggs have been like the original alien. This would explain why the original alien was so much more dangerous and intelligent compared to the other aliens which favoured quantity over quality of it's individuals. This would also allow for eggmorphing to still be canon
Astoundingly well put together video once again, the editing though...the fucking editing! Alien Theory is the only channel I get excited to see in my subscriptions anymore!

The thing I’ve always wondered is where do xenomorphs get all that fluid from? They almost seem like an aquatic species because they are always so dripping wet.
There was a deleted scene where the crew says something stole the food supplies. I assume it takes bot organic matter and minerals and uses moisture, water to create the slime and the acidic blood.
Wow I love the background music. So mystical, mysterious, ambient with even a cautionary warning attached to it. Just spellbinding. Going even Further, it consumes and enthralls the listener. Perfect music for the Alien theory.
Maybe they reverse process of how we dehydrate, losing liquid water as vapor, instead gaining liquids from the gas around them. It would be a neat way to gain water just from the air around you instead of needing to drink it.
Xenomorphs have to have a way to breakdown all substance to basic components and rebuild them. 1) Because the energy requirement to grow from a cell to chestburster should make the host dead or at least 80lb less sickly. 2) If they require silcon for cells, it would depleat the host 3)The amount of Kcals to go from a chestburster to a full size creature makes no sense, to grow that fast take 10x6 cals at least 4)Fluid lost and energy lost is massive for a creature drooling and burning energy constantly 5) You could argue that alien as a energy storage cells 1000x greater that human fat at 9kcal though it would have to come from the queen and eggs however the Queen would need to feed constantly and by feed I am mean eating 24x7 and still it would not be enough. So it would have to either use the acid blood, however enzymatic would make more sense. So it must be able to breakdown material and rebuild them. However it takes energy to do that nothing is for free. Basically it would have to be a fusion reactor, perhaps the drool and hive building is it waste. Interesting sidenote: the Neomorph is actually rather robust creature. I would actually take it over protomorph based on its speed, strength and bite radius. Certainly having fungi part of DNA is going to give in an advantage that is unexplored.
To whom this may concern at the Weyland-Yutani Employee Services. My name is Thomas Draper, and I am a flight science officer. Having learned the fate "Nostromo" from employee information, I have a question and a request. I am a bio-mechanical engineer, currently assigned as science officer (Flight reg.: ID 514/S3-99N). to the commercial science vessel USCSS "SHAW". At company HQ in Mars City I have received company training in crew management and team psychology. I am curious about the specific crew members of the "Nostromo". What was the background of each crew member? I believe that this info would be useful when making future emergency protocols for flight crews, and in setting up crew profiles. My request (actually more of a suggestion) is development of a specific defense strategy if a deep space vessel like the "Shaw" should encounter a similar attack from unknown species. As science officer, I believe that IF the "Nostromo" crew had been trained and they had a defensive strategy, they might have defeated or even contained the XX121. Thus saving themselves, precious cargo and not missed the chance to bring back the alien life form for scientific study. Regards, T. Draper, science officer of USCSS "SHAW".
I hope they make a movie explaining more about the telepatic capabilities of the aliens, 'cause make no mistake, they have them. Say whatever you want about Resurrection, but that was a perfect example. Remember Ripley saying: "I hear them, they're so close. It's the queen, she's in pain." How would she know that without telepathy?
Maybe the aliens have similar tech as we do but it's "biological". So it's like how the humans are talking on radios. The queen is prolly wondering how we can be "telepathic" if she can't hear us.
Wow. This is really great. exciting and well made. Especially cause we know the background story. To make these videos as if made by the company, Weyland-Yutani, is a great idea. Works very well. Please, keep it up!! :) Kind regards from Denmark
Amazing video, you do a lot of good video editing and narration. Great research based on what the movies provide, though I suspect you are basing these findings on more than just the movies. Also maybe it is just me, but it seems like the xenomorphs acid blood works more effectively on non-organic material, for example, it melts through two whole floors of the Nestromo, but a person can survive getting splashed as far as I am aware.
Mate no homo but I love you Marine!!! Chilled right now and this is heaven to watch. God I didn’t realise what a sad loser nerd I really am. But hey I ain’t alone am I ? This is bloody great stuff man. I’ll have to check if you done some mad crazy stories about the Nostromo cos I loved that ship and the cast. See this is 3 years later and we are still finding videos. So thanks for this work. I really appreciate it
It's really somethin btw no matter how many times I watch Aliens I always catch something new, complex textures angles perspectives dialogue diatlbe just brilliant film making
I know this is just a bit of fun, but how can Weyland-Yutani have notes on events that happened in Alien Resurrection when they no longer existed? Didn't some deleted scene say they were bought up by Walmart or something?
I love the usage of real footage and the distortion and colorgrading to pass the demonetization. Ik gives the source material this found footage look. And the green tint i always think matches the acid blood of the xenomorphs and gives the old computer vibe. I experience this as extra material for the alien universe. You are describing all these things like it really happened. And the sound of your voice gives it the perfect archival sound. I watched loades of youd video's some even multiple times and i always enjoy them. Keep doing this please. I'm such a alien lover i'm going to decorate my future house inspired by the the nostromo dinner scene.

VBSuper maybe they make a really high/low pitch sound that only xenomorphs hear
Sort of like an alien dog whistle, maybe? I would really like they would explore those options further on an upcoming movie.
Maybe the aliens have similar tech as we do but it's "biological". So it's like how the humans are talking on radios. The queen is prolly wondering how we can be "telepathic" if she can't hear us.
Pheromones
They have a hivemind
Wow. This is really great. exciting and well made. Especially cause we know the background story. To make these videos as if made by the company, Weyland-Yutani, is a great idea. Works very well. Please, keep it up!! :) Kind regards from Denmark
Question...where is the xenomorph that burst out of the Space Jockey?
I know it goes to Ibiza several times a year.
The derelict was there for a very long time so it could've died
It most likely became a Queen Mother over time and is in a dormant state of hibernation. Which is why there were thousands of eggs.
@J. Mtz non canon and also where's your source?
It died of old age in a hospice surrounded by friends and family
Absolutely love this video must have watched at least a dozen times. Thanks brother for all the hard work.

"I said lay down a suppressing fire and fall back to the incineratorS..Hudson..Vasquez..fall back..."
I was about to ask this too. Is it the Directors Cut, or something else?
What a great edited video! Nice work!
I know this is just a bit of fun, but how can Weyland-Yutani have notes on events that happened in Alien Resurrection when they no longer existed? Didn't some deleted scene say they were bought up by Walmart or something?
"This installation has a substantial $$$ value.."
According to the Wayland-Yutani company report, I believe that they either are continuing their practices, or they broke off from Walmart.
Delighted to have found this channel. Anyone giving this a 'thumbs down' deserves face-hugging immediately.
09:00 'The organism searches for an undisturbed space to develop unmolested'.. reminds me of bible school
Chestburster: "If you want to kill me, you are not welcome in my sa~afe spa~ace!"
Hive: "My sa~afe spa~ace!"
LOL
You never disappoint.
these file videos are my favorites
Fantastic video, nice work!
Yo A_T ! would love to see, if its possible a scientific explanation of the Yautja species.
Its just a request !
