Thanks for the video! Ist there a special OBD scanning tool that offer this "relearn" function? Inhave an autel808 but it doesn't seem to have it under special functions. Cheers
Hi Sandy. Where about in scotland are you based? I have an evoque and believe the egr valve is giving me problems, although no fault is currently showing. Intermittently the car will loose power and come back to normal 5 or 10 minutes later. Be great if I can bring it to yourself to look at.
Had this problem. First software recalibration resolved problem for 1,5 years. Then recalibrated 2 times, problem back in 10 minutes when engine get hot. Replaced valve. So your test on the table is arguable.
Hi Sandy. Just watched your video with interest. I have a 16 plate Evoque. Twice in the last 5 weeks I have had the Exhaust Filter Full red warning sign with the yellow management tool. On both occasions I had the dpf cleaned but worried it will get full again. Would I be correct in thinking that the dpf may no5 be the problem but something else like the egr. 5e car runs great until the red light appears. How can I get you to have a look at it.
@@sandyande Thanks very much for the reply. Need to find someone in the Durham area who has one now and try this, cheers. Great videos by the way, keep up the good work.
4:58 those soft ugly box they are fitted with FORD ENGINE. THE ECOSYSTEM ones can be found on Ford Fusion, Escape and there are many in the graveyard than on the road. LR messed up on these SUV
I've got the same issue with Freelander 2.2 , the battery was 12.3v , so I've fitted a new battery and did a BMS reset ( now 12.7v ) , should i fit the new EGR valve or just take it to a garage to have the existing EGR Paired in ???
@@sandyande Thanks Sandy , i had a new EGR valve , so I've took half the engine bay to bits , i can't get the manifold heat shield off to get the Egr and cooler out , i must be doing something wrong & missed a bolt that needs removing. I'm stumped bud , this is turning into a nightmare, i'm thinking about putting it back together and biting the bullet and taking it along to the garage lol .
@@sandyande nae bother , i just removed the centre bulkhead and managed to get the egr out , the heatshield bolt i couldn't find is under the egr cooler , so you can't do what the Haynes manual says and remove the heatshield tilll after the egr is out lol , bloody stupid as you don't need to touch the heatshield at all . To do this job the easiest way , would be to remove the fuel rail and remove the black plastic rocker cover in my opinion . I'm now at the stage of putting it back together and trying to remember where all the nuts n bolts go lol ... cheers bud
Good on ye for being honest about it Sandy. So we can all learn. The only guys who dont make mistakes, are the guys who dont do anything! Cheers Pal
Cheers Ian a humble lesson on quick diagnostic! These jaguar/land rover are over complicated! Cheers Pal, Sandy

Good. Thank you
Theres a know Landrover bulletin for this most can be fixed with a software update . If codes are still present after the update new EGR is required.
Cheers great info thanks Sandy

Great video, admire your honesty.. Having exactly the same issue with an XF Jag 2.2d - New EGR, same fault codes, what scanner did you use ?
That was the snap on verus, I'm not sure about autel or launch if they can, but snap on the easiest to do this type of procedure cheers sandy

Yes I would try that first
Try the existing one to see if it can be configured back in
