I know it would probably be a lot of work but it would be really cool if the spell cards and casting animations had some kind of unique symbol/animation for each combination. for example Ice and Storm could be a storm cloud with a snowflake instead of lighting, etc. It seems like, from the stream, the energy blade was a storm spell that also gives a life blade but ik that'd probably be hard to do that with the power pips/archmastery stuff if it was a two-schooled spell. but maybe the spell could have a smaller school symbol kind of like how it was in the character tab next to the character picture on it. and the casting animation could be, for example with the energy blade, mostly storm, but maybe with a little cosmetic extra like leaves and a small bit of the life casting sound as a nod to the fact that it was a storm-life weave spell. even if it was just a little costmetic thing I think that would be really cool and add to it a lot still a very cool concept tho and I can't wait to play with it
I wish we could design our gear in-game! Especially to create more feminine or real life designs! There could be templates/silhouettes, but shifting the color by a spectrum, adding trim to skirts. Adding pockets or chains, or submitting our drawings for approval to put on a t-shirt in game.
So, just like Archmastery, Magic Weaving will be only available naturally after Level 50, but will also require you to defeat Malistaire. That's really interesting, and makes sense. First you have to master one school before you start dabbling in a secondary school, so it'd make some sense to master magic weaving after saving the Spiral from Malistaire Drake, which is a big deal. Magic Weaving will really help with Arc 2 when enemies start getting more pips than you at the start.
ADDED: I see that this magic weaving isn't going to replace a school, it'll just be something different and you will be limited in ranks by worlds, so you have to clear stories in the worlds to get new ranks, probably with stronger spells. :)
I feel like a lot of people complaining about these changes trying to aim in a direction of spicing up deck set-up and gameplay forget the fact that wizard101's meta deck set-up is incredibly stale for PVE. Rarely do you change up your deck once you obtain powerful AOE spells, only when you get astral spells and more blades, and when you obtain that next powerful AOE. On the other hand, it's important to acknowledge that the gameplay loop from Wizard City to the end of arc 2 kind of forces players to play this way when you have mundane defeat and collect quests or hundreds of bosses without any cheats. The grind game isn't fun, so we have to maximise efficiency using these AOE spells. I can only imagine how difficult it is to work around game design this old, but I think it's a step in the right direction to experiment and make these sorts of changes to the game. Thank you for continuing to develop this game!
Because it’s so late and I imagine there isn’t time to change the balance spell, I have a few suggestions. 1. Consider changing the pointing sound effect, it’s too Mickey-Mousey/ cartoonish 2. Change camera pov to where the moon is located once it’s been introduced. 3. Add more chameleons to the damage part to give more “oomph” to the spell Or Make the sneaking chameleon slither up to the enemy rather than tiptoe The other spells are excellent, though. As a balance, *a* change to the balance spell would be appreciated
literally no point of having multiple wizards if I can just support whatever 2 schools I want. make 42 new spells since you're so commited. nothing unique happens due to dual schooling, if it did that would be a different story
