First off, kudos for the production quality of these top fifty videos. Each of your lists are solid and I enjoy the light hearted discussion between you. Finally, shout out for “The Estates” ( definitely underrated).
Thank you very much! Credit to Dylann for taking on all the editing for this. In the future, we hope to have our own b-roll shots for even more of the games, but there's only so much we can do when running this channel in our spare time outside of our full-time jobs and such. Still nice to get comments like this, we really appreciate it. :)

O love the idea of favorite games that resist aging or fading in favor. Would also like to see a list of games that have faded due to too much or a lot of play time. Great video guys!

Love these videos. Having a minute to talk about the games before group discussion is awesome. One addition I'd like for these videos is that when a game is on someone's list and has already been on someone elses list, could you put that previous ranking on the screen. So like when Carlo talks about High Society and his ranking of it from last year appears on screen, could you put Braden's ranking to the side? But this wouldn't include showing Carlos' pick while Braden talks about it simce that would be a spoiler and fiture appearance on the list. Would just be cool to have those listed on the screen so that we can compare without writing down everyone's picks.
This is a great suggestion! We already have edited and scheduled the remaining videos but in the future, I’ll definitely do this. I think it’s a great idea.

It's amazing to see you guys on screen again, alive and kicking! A couple of questions for you:
- Carlos: How has becoming a father changed your board gaming habits? Have you turned more towards solo games?
- Braiden: What was your #1 game from last year, and why was it Marvel Champions?

To answer your question - I've definitely played some more solo games but not as many as I expected. I find it tough to get fully invested in a game (and stay awake) when nobody else is around, it can't be too long of a game and I can't start too late at night otherwise I just get sleepy, haha. Otherwise, the game nights are just less frequent, so I'm having to be more selective about what I play. If you've watched my last few Curating My Collection videos you'll see I've been getting rid of a lot of games this year, primarily because I want to focus my gaming time on playing my favourite games more.
The scales have started to tip more towards depth vs breadth, when previously it was breadth over depth for the last few years. Great question though! I imagine things will continue to change as my son gets older, and then later in life when I have more time again things could swing back the other way.

The Fields of Arle Expansion is great, even if you don't use it to play at 3-players. The tea, ships, ditching, and new buildings all mix it up a bit.

I’ve actually just familiarized myself with the rules to teach it at a cabin weekend we’re all going on after Christmas! So we’d play it very soon.

The Ghost Stories expansion, White Moon, is an essential for me - I never play without it; it actually makes the game slightly less punishing without adding significant complexity. You should try it!

Glad to hear I’m not alone!
Azul and Arboretum are two games with 50+ plays for me. I've arguably overplayed them, but that's my fault and not the games'. It's to their absolute credit I've played them so much. They've earned and retained the peak high rating I gave the time on BGG and I'll never downrate them. So when I sort my games from highst-lowest rating, they're still right up there.
But I don't make UA-cam videos - my rankings remain to stagnent from year to year to form an entertaining video 😅
Haha, well I'm sure you'll see as we get closer to the top 10/20 there will be more mainstays from our previous years' lists. But you're right - some games just have that lasting power year after year, no matter how many plays they get. It's not always easy to predict in advance which games will stand the test of time and which ones will sort of fade away after 10-20 plays. But that's part of the fun of the hobby! I think these kinds of videos should be titled “my current top X games that I’ve played”
As you know, we're always open to feedback, but I think I can confidently say we won't be changing the way we title these videos. I think it's assumed that any list is based on *current* opinions, because opinions change, that's why they're not facts. Otherwise every single video would have to state "best X games currently". Also, "that I've played" seems redundant because of course we wouldn't be highlighting games we haven't played. I guess this just seems a bit like semantics to me, and we specifically put "(2023)" to indicate that it's based on the time we made the lists. Either way, thanks for watching.

And here I am buying the new hotness instead. I STILL have everdell, dune imperium unplayed. At least I'm playing lots of Challengers though. Can't wait to find a way to get 16 people together for a BIG tournament.

I am ranked number 1 in My City at Boardgamearena in arena mode. Love the eternal way to play it, with the three churces. I believe Claim It (try it at yucata) is a better push your luck dice game than Can't Stop (choose light settings). I have bought in irl too. I got 12 of the games in this video.
Hmm, good to know. I haven't even heard of Claim It, I'll keep an eye out for that one. And Maybe I'll try the eternal mode for My City, I just assumed I wouldn't enjoy it enough once we finished the campaign.

Yucata got like 190 games, free to play in your browser. Got nice smooth games like Claim it, Rose King, Port Royal and Las Vegas. I like the dice game Shanghaien there too. Yucata got the amazing block wargame Sekigahara.
