  • This week we start out with work on the 1800's violin and play it! We decorate the pochette, then proceed to a Hebrew Minute and Freddie's Chat. Enjoy!

What a fun video. It was great to "meet" Elianna. I love Hayden's music. Some of his writings are fun to hear and to play. Your violin repair came out well. I'm anxious to see and hear more about the beavers and see if they get trapped. Have a great week!

Thank you, Fay, for commenting. Haydn's music is so happy and joyful! With the great amount of rain, the beavers' dam has been flooded over and the trappers tore it down, so we are hoping that they have moved on or got trapped. The whole trap was gone in the flood of waters. Hope you have a great week, too!

The Hebrew Minute is from Psalm 100, the Jubilate Deo. We would sing it at Mattins every Sunday when I was a youngster. The 1800s violin sounds just as good as its tap tone promised it would be. Glad your varnishing on the pochette is going well, and I'm loving the decoration. Thanks for the anecdote about Haydn and Mozart and how highly they thought of one another. Lesser souls might easily have been rivals.

Thank you for knowing the Hebrew Minute, Mr. Pinch! It sounds like the tap tones are giving us a clue! I was so glad to read about the great friendship that Haydn and Mozart had. Thank you for commenting and I hope you have a blessed week!

what type of trap was set for the beavers?

That is a great question. The trappers came and then the traps got washed down the creek. I don't know if they got the beavers or if the beavers have moved on. So far, they have not rebuilt their dam. Thank you for asking! Hope you have a great week.
