      I feel like something that might help with the conveyance of the video, in this one as an example is to have your editor include the first faulty run from from say one checkpoint to the next (i.e. 14-15 when you're trying to get in the hole) Show where you had trouble and then show the successful run. It also has the payoff for the viewer of seeing what was actually so hard and then you completing it.

      Yeah this has been happening for a lot of videos, people always ask. The only reason I can think that they don't do it is because it'd be longer, like this video would be over an hour, but that's well worth it. It's no fun when he drives through the CP and then we skip a ton of time and discovery progress. (sometimes skips hours in some videos) I'm personally stopping this video half way in because I've lost interest watching back to back CP finishes at this point

    • @lifted71blazer
      @lifted71blazer Рік тому +4

      @@WrestleGermainia Idk how much the editor gets paid but sitting through an entire vod to find the best fails has to take like 5 times as long as what he currently does. I assume he just skips ahead in the vod until the cp changes then finds the successful attempt which is a way faster way of making a video with fails and such

    • @WrestleGermainia
      @WrestleGermainia Рік тому +1

      @@lifted71blazer yeah for sure, probably not really the editors fault if he's not payed for that time. That's why It's good to have editors who watch your streams so they can bookmark the juicy stuff but that's not always viable

      The video’s already over 45 mins long - how many people are going to watch an hour+ video?! You might, I assure you the majority won’t, and having a video that the majority don’t finish will wreck the UA-cam algorithm. And there’s a clock in the bottom - you know how many fails he’s had anyway!

    • @luk3705
      @luk3705 Рік тому +10

      @@stevekettel188 Point is that adding fails would make it seem more like a trial map, not asking to show every mistake, but atleast a few, keeps it entertaining to watch, for the cost of few extra minutes

    I agree with a lot of the comments here. This video is more of "checkpoint solutions for world of wampus 5" rather than "watch scrapie play a fun rpg map", its okay if videos end up longer, I doubt most people mind.
    Its also okay if some less interesting checkpoint completions are left out, we are here for scrapie and his journey through the map, including difficulties. not how to beat the map. I would consider the vod over this if the vods channel still got updated, since I can get the real story for scrapie on world of wampus 5, instead of this segmented speedrun style video.
    For example: at 12:30, we skipped over 3 minutes entirely.
    He had probably a dozen fails trying to learn the checkpoint, or maybe even was exploring to learn where to go. what was he trying to do? what is he complaining about? all we see is just his one success, did he not do anything interesting that entire 3 minutes?
    For someone like scrapie, I feel that is not the case and there are likely a few interesting clips those 3 minutes alone.

  • @eclipseeffigy
    @eclipseeffigy Рік тому +9

    Scrapie's journey of going crazy and considering ragequitting the whole map was such a memorable part of it live & made overcoming the struggle and sacrificing cotd for it along the way, so much sweeter.
    This is a nice showcase of the map but it doesn't have that compelling narrative, y'know?

    Scrapie, you really should get someone else to edit your videos. There is so much potential that is just lost in the edit. For example, at 35:20 we have just seen you one-shot a checkpoint (or at least it very much seems like that) and you are complaining that "when you play a trial map everything that can go wrong, goes wrong". I think if the viewers see some of the failures it will be SO MUCH better. You need the video to tell a story, it is difficult to watch a compilation of all of the successful runs through every checkpoint. Having only the successful runs shown does make the editting job a lot easier, but it's at the expence of content quality. When there is something difficult that you struggle with a lot on a very tough CP show that. Make us understand how happy you are to finally get it when you do so.

Need to show some fails and also it was hard to spot where cuts where cause they were either in the same place on each checkpoint just a few minutes later or at the start, should've showed some of the previous attempt and then the one that made it.
