Thank you for making this video, I love the old wonders of life the whole concept was amazing I wish it never would’ve changed so more people could’ve experienced it
The whole Wonders building is very dated but could be gutted and converted into something else. The outside should be painted from yellow to silver or something less garish but the space is huge and should be reimagined into something which makes use of all that space, maybe a ride. You are so disciplined which is good as it must be tempting to open things and interfer with stuff you see but you don't which should be commended as a lot of vloggers don't always do the same. Also where are you orginally from? I can't always recognise American accents but you seem to have a soft sounding southern accent I can't work out.
This pavilion hadn’t opened yet when I visited EPCOT Center in the early ‘80s (nor had The Seas pavilion), and I unfortunately never made it back… but I wish I’d been able to go return in ‘86 or ‘87, before Eisner started wrecking the place. You would’ve loved original EPCOT. Too bad Disney no longer promotes humankind seizing its own destiny to create a utopia. Selling instant gratification better serves their corporate interests, I guess.
I am glad Spaceship Earth (talking ride-wise) is still there and living with the land was always one of my favs ... I think World of Motion (i do miss that) needed an update so i am fine with that.... The Energy Pavilion was one of my LEAST favorites so i could understand a refresh there ... it's Communicore, Wonders of Life, Horizions and the ORIGINAL Imagination Pavilion + Imageworks that I miss most ... it's like Epcot (mainly futureworld) lost it's heart along the way
Was just there last week. I am too much of a wimp to cross the roped off area 😂 but it’s gross back there. Universe of Energy is being gutted and there’s people back there smoking leaving cig butts and drinking alcohol because they know the area is abandoned. Quite depressing actually. I last went inside around 2005 I believe. Can’t wait for this area to be redone!
The moments that stuck with me from the original Universe of Energy were 1) the pre-show, when an entire wall turned out to be individual rotating “kinetic cubes” with projections on them, 1) then once in the show itself, when the whole theater rotated and you knew something spectacular was in store, and then 2) this scary, moody animation of dinosaur times went dark, and when the lights came back up, the screen was gone and _the scene we’d just seen in the animation was brought to life ahead of us with moving dinosaurs,_ and then 3) the theater seats _moved forward and broke into individual vehicles_ and it turned out we were already on the ride, and 4) as our cars snaked through the diorama, it reeked of sulfur, and one dinosaur’s mouthful of weeds dripped onto us as we rode beneath it, and then 5) back in the theater, we were treated to a wild kaleidoscopic projection wrapping 360° around the audience with the aid of mirrors, and then… criminy, once it was over I wanted to hop back on and ride it again - I was a pretty world-weary, jaded 11-year-old, but that initial reveal, the intense dark animation turning into a 3D scene which the _whole theater rode into…_ that really wowed me, and I don’t think anything I’ve seen since has topped that moment. I think what Disney have lost are their sense of drama and storytelling. Sure, they can cram new technology into their rides… but they currently seem unable to mount any truly emotionally-engaging spectacles.
Do a video asking a cast member or calling the Walt Disney World number about what they think will happen to the Wonders of Life/Festival Center for Epcot's upcoming overhaul.
tropicalflamingo I asked a few days ago, they said that it might turn into some space-themed restaurant, because there will be a restaurant around mission space soon, so people speculate it will be in Wonders of Life. The pavilion will be receiving a major overhaul after the 2017 food and wine festival.
The wonders of life was great while it lasted and now it is gone and it is being replaced by a new attraction. All good things must come to an end at some point in time.
They recently redid the roof repainted it, and announced that the festival center wouldn’t be held there anymore.
_Somethings coming_
Exciting times!

This video was really informative! I appreciated the attention to detail that you put into this
AWESOME! Thank you so much for this! That house phone index is one of the coolest things I've ever seen!
It's so cool how there are still hidden references to WoL and the individual attractions themselves.

WOW! Great video! Wish you didn't obey the rules as much. Got to rip down those curtains in the name of journalism.

Wonders of Life is going to become a new Play Themed Pavilion.
Great video, I subbed
Supposedly both the Buzz and Hypothalamus Animatronics from Cranium Command were recently stolen.
Video idea: do a tour of innoventions east & what’s left of the remnants!
Wonders of life ran from 1989 to 2007! Right now, it’s fully abandoned!
@ 9:34 those original speakers for the attraction are JBL Control 5 speakers @JakeOrl
Lol hearing jermey irons during that season of the vine just makes me miss the irons version of spaceship :(
