Letchworth State Park is one of America's Top State Parks (USA TODAY Readers' Choice Award for Best State Park in the United States). It is referred to as the "Grand Canyon of the East". Letchworth State Park in Autumn or Fall is one of the best times to visit the park.
Letchworth State Park is one of the most scenically magnificent areas in the eastern U.S. The Genesee River roars through the gorge over three major waterfalls (Upper, Middle & Lower Falls) between cliffs--as high as 600 feet in some places--surrounded by lush forests.
Autumn is by far the best time to see Letchworth. New York trees turn majestic colors in Fall ranging from red and orange to gold and yellow. Seeing the gorge adorned in color is something everyone should enjoy.
In this video, take a tour through Letchworth State Park in Autumn. We will take you past the Seh-ga-hun-da (The Vale of Three Falls) passing the Three Sisters (Upper, Middle and Lower Falls). Your tour will stop at all of the major overlooks including Inspiration Point, Archery Field, Humphrey's, Great Bend and Tea Table.

It was a busy weekend at Letchworth. Park officials had to close areas and entrance gates to help with overcrowding. Luckily I was there early in the morning for a rafting trip. Unfortunately, the rafting trip was canceled due to a dam release being stopped unexpectedly. I would have loved to have gotten on the water, have not guided in months. On the bright side, I was able to catch the park at peak foliage. I hope you enjoy the video. Let me know what you think in the comments!

My wife and I found your videos of the park extremely helpful in planning our autumn trip to the park.
Letchworth is amazing (and busy) in Autumn. Make sure you get there early if you are there on peak foliage weekends. They have shutdown the gates because of capacity the past couple of years. Let me know if you have any questions.

That is one epic state park...many of the state parks are more or just as equally as beautiful as many of the national parks...the fall colours and the varied landscapes are breathtaking...thanks so much for sharing...
Wending the World Letchworth is amazing, it has been voted the best state park in the US a couple of times. It draws people from around the world. It amazes me the diversity and interesting people I have met raft guiding through the gorge. Thanks for watching!

Possibly, there was still green, but there was also a bunch of bare trees. As the winds were picking up, they were blowing around pretty good. It only picked up as I was leaving.

Absolutely beautiful. I’m from the Syracuse area so I definitely got to make it a point to get to Letchworth next year. I use a wheelchair so I won’t be able to get to all the places. But I’ll sure give it a try. I’ve got your channel now, your videos look terrific. 👍🏻
Believe it or not, most of the areas in the video are wheelchair accessible. Many of the best overlooks and waterfalls, you drive to and park on the side of the road. The only one that you would not be able to see if the Lower Falls.
