It's often because of dead space while aircraft are falling from decent altitudes. That's usually when I click away. Obviously the action is in the damage being dealt. It's pretty obvious what the result of a high alt fall without a wing is. Those sometimes 20-30 seconds of dead space where it just falls gets old and attention spans vanish lol.
Unless you're competing with nightcore videos in my recommended, then there's nothing that can save you from anime girls. Sorry.
In real life, the base CO would have anyones butt who shot the plane with the gear down trying to land as capturing an intact enemy aircraft is a valuable asset to have.
Fair point, but I think shooting AA rounds horizontal over the airfield at 1 m altitude is what is really going to get these gunners court-martialed!

@@vegasspaceprogram6623 I guess it depends on what service it is on how it is called. Navy is CO, for Commanding Officer.
Either his plane was badly damaged or ran out of fuel, or worse he wanted to defect.

I've been doing video games for 30 years. Auto racing, WWI and WWII fair combat games, etc. I always figure that when I do things like the theme of this video, I'm starting to get bored with it... not that it isn't in its own way entertaining. But it's sort of like my dad telling me that when he had an electric train set; the time was going to come when he would get tired of the locomotive going around in circles and he was going to have to blow-up something with a firecracker.
I can understand! It might be time to diversify the channel by creating more than just IL-2 crash compilations!

@@ericbusch87 I have seen planes in videos falling on the ground from several meters of height and even on trees just to have only a broken wing or something instead of instantly blow up in flaming pieces. That's what I mean. I see them blow up only after falling from a very higher altitude. Like 300-500 meters or something.
And that is wrong imo. Look at that Me 262 at the start of the video. It would have been crashed in a huge fireball in real life.
I am still playing IL-2 1946 and it was way better in many aspects....
