I Don't care what people said, I still love the Watchmen Movie

It's very shallow, unlike the the comic which is one of the deepest most amazing stories ever.

At the end of the Watchmen comic book Dr.Manhattan did say that he was leaving the galaxy, and that he would create new human life. Idk but to me that just sounds like a confirmation into him creating the new 52 universe.

Ian Kane I know but what I meant was that even if someone didn't know that Alan Moore created both stories, that person could guess that the same person created both stories considering the type of theme in both Watchmen and V for Vendetta.

yeah. no disrespect to alan moore but superhero's framing themselves as a threat to humanity so the enemies of the cold war can unite against a common enemy is a better plot than an alien attack.
I liked the movie to. The few changes there where still work well in the story and I felt it did not take anything away really. And I do prefer the movies ending.
It's my favourite movie, no matter what people say about it.

Dr. Manhattan is my Favorite Watchmen. I love everything he stands for and his ability to create and leave behind his own creation.
The movie was awesome. I love watching it over and over again. However, I recently got to look over the Watchmen comics that were written in 1986, which was an eye opener. Something Arris didn't mention, was that the movie is basically the comic with a few changes that I found acceptable. We've all seen movies that are made from comics that give their own take, but this is quite literally the comic. In the comic Nite Owl and Silk Spectre 2 make out on his ship, which is also repeated in the comic. It's the same for the beginning, Rorschach in prison and many other examples. In fact, they actually use the very words from the comic. It's why I like it even better now, with this new information.
Finally a watchmen! Hands down there is no comic I love more then the collection of the originals.
I must agree with you, The Watchmen movie was really good, visually beautiful, and the fighting/action scenes were done VERY well. None of that "shaky cam" crap!

I'm pretty sure there is no team named "Watchmen" in the comic? The proposed team with this lineup was called Crimebusters, "Watchmen" is just the title of the story - it's only name of the team in the movie version.

the team was never called the Watchmen. The original team was known as the Minutemen and the second generation team was called the Crimebusters.

OMG. Now it makes sense that it may be a easter egg in Spiderman The movie. Where Aunt May says, "You do too much. You're not Superman you know".
If you think about it the "Who Watches the Watchmen" could mean or be another way of saying "Who saves the Heroes" or "Who inspires the Inspiring" ( The inspiring being heroes, since many heroes are the ones who inspire and bring hope to others)

Watchmen is my favorite superhero story of all time
Term Superman dates back to 1903 play titled Man and Superman. Action comic Superman didn't appear until 1938 and even then the writer had already created another character called Superman that had been published before it.
I want to see Batman vs Rorschach
300 film was a great movie. It is really under apperciated and as not a DC fan guy, they were the closest to comic source as possible. They were brutal, they were on point and they made the best comic book superheros come to life. In all honesty, so far i believe that watchmen was better than BvS.
i was interested in marvel comics a lot before, but u gave me what i was searching for, the histories of some marvel characters (fave:spiderman!!)

From what I heard from people that worked at DC at the time was... DC bought Charlton and asked several writer to write these characters into the DC universe. Moore got stuck with the assignment and wrote the Watchmen with the Charlton characters in it. The Editors said this wasn't want they wanted because it ruined the characters that they wanted to do monthly books about. Since they just spent money on th characters. Then they turned around and told him if he rewrote it with made up characters they'd print it. So he made alternate versions of Blue Beetle and the crew. (Don't know how true this version of the history is)

the other reason that spider-man/superman typo is funny is because the whole reason stan lee decided to put a hyphen in spider-man is so people wouldn't mistake the title for superman at first glance.

I was reading 1996 Supergirl Linda Danvers issue #4 Page 12. In the upper right panel there is a watchmen pin on the ground. Artists have been slipping that button in places for years. It would be clever to go back and include those issues as times when Doctor Manhattan "changed things"
