What about sorting all the grungy degraded leaves and stems out before chopping? Where do you find such PERFECT bunches that all they need is swishing in the water? Never! I absolutely pick through it stem by stem - so feel very comfortable dining at my table. BTW, I use my OXO small salad spinner to wash and then dry - works like a charm - no wasted paper towels

Yes cause they have some flavor in them. Some people do eat them but I usually don't.

Yes. The roots have the most flavor though, so you can pound them and put them in dipping sauces, etc.

Cause it’s got a Lotta dirt in there. The dunk & swish method cleans the cilantro better.
