Appreciate you! By only allowing adjustments/settings through an APP, I think this eliminates a large portion of potential customers.
Right there with ya. I’m definitely not going to use a Chinese app on my devices. If I can’t control or setup a major component such as this at the unit level I wouldn’t use it.
It was frustrating because it appears to be a very quality unit, I was excited about it until I saw the fine print!
I was 👀 into this company a few weeks ago, thanks for letting everyone know that the controller requires an App to work with the most widely used battery. Unfortunate 😢 looks like a quality build too. ❤

I don't like the idea of having to use an app to set it up. I don't want to use an app to make changes or even to set up. I am with you on this one! Thanks for letting us know about the strange requirements of this controller.
App+Bluetooth as a feature that you can CHOOSE to use is attractive to some and maybe even considered cool.
Not letting me even use the controller without, that’s not cool.

I was planning on pulling out an old PWM charger and put the Bateria in its place. Even had some minty panels to use too!

Glad you liked the video! So far the consensus from viewers is that requiring an App for setup is a fail. Maybe the manufacturer will take the hint!
I download the app before I left the house and when I get out in the middle of nowhere it worked fine I don't like all that tracking GPS either but midnights are great man is expensive
Glad to hear it worked for you my friend! I’ve been using the controller with a small panel to charge and maintain some of my backup lead acid batteries. It works as described. I’m going to update everyone soon about its performance on lead batteries.

Question, are you running it on lithium? How are the factory lithium settings?

Agreed! No need to reinvent the wheel. Add the APP/BT as an optional feature, not a requirement.
The best performing charge controllers I own were designed and brought to market well over a decade ago. They will smoke anything that’s out there on the market today.
Having to use an app to change settings is a show stopper for me. Poor design choice for the manufacturer. Maybe they should stick to the Chinese market.

Buttons have worked just fine on charge controllers for 40+ years. Why upset the apple cart! I hope this isn’t the direction the industry is heading.
Avoid the product send it back maybe this stupid company will get a clue, too many other good products out there
Could have been a great unit, just big oversight on their part!
