After completing my heroic playthrough of Reach, I decided to replay the campaign on legendary with a twist: I also had to beat the par score on every mission. This mission took 3-4 attempts simply because in the space battle, I tried diving the enemies to get combos and more points, not realizing that doing so was suicidal. Dying all those times meant that so much time passed that I stopped gaining points when in the corvette. Finally I got the point and just hid behind Anchor 9 for the third wave (the one with like 10 Seraphs) until the station defenses took out most of them. I ended up getting through the second space section with the corvette and the first room on the corvette without dying, which surprised me. I finished the mission with like 57,000 points. I am not looking forward to Exodus. I tried it once, I wasn't even through the Falcon ride by the time I stopped gaining points. Not to mention I only had like 12,000 points by that point.
This really helped me out, thanks! Looking forward to the par score guides for exodus, the package and pillar of autumn too since those three are the only ones im missing in the game, thanks to your guides.
My last attempt at this par score was on Heroic, and I had some 90k points with a 3x time multiplier when I got to the command room of the Covenant ship. All I had to do was double back, defend the Pelican, and finish the level. In that small amount of time, I watched my multiplier and score plummet from over twice the par score to 10k under it. Heroic isn't too bad, but I'm glad this guide recommends Normal difficulty.
I seemed to have beat par score on most of the missions just because I didnt know what I was doing the first playthrough. So just focused on all the enemies 😂
This was not horribly tough to get, but WTF! I got par score and it didn't even give me credit for completing the mission! No par score, no mission completed. WTF game???
you were using competitive time. once the par time passes, you start losing 'potential score', and can find out your PROPER score. Usual rule of thumb; use Score not competitive.
Space fighter battle (Correction: Seraphs) is the most ai sided battle in halo history (And i've beaten H2/3/ODST solo without exploiting skip zones on Legendary) Don't even get me STARTED on how they REFUSE to give you a single checkpoint from the first space wave until the corvette section..
never thought that these achievements can be done on normal difficulty
Phraker me too
I feel like a psychopath for make this with skulls in legendary (And yes, that didn't work so well, thats why i'm here)
@@lianguberim killing myself currently on it

3-4 attempts on legendary is really good, I honestly think the space battle part of this mission is harder than any level on any halo game
Exodus is secretly the hardest mission in the game. Everything after getting the jetpack is a nightmare.
In the last room you can jump in the pelican turret, it can help a bit.
Dang forgot about that, thanks from 2 years ago lol

Once again, thank you very much for this guide.

I love your vids, could you do a guide on how to get the “one last firefight” achievement?

I got 86,000 on this one and it didn't pop for me. No clue why.

I hate this mission with a passion. Mainly the saber part.
Yeah I'm not a big fan of the space combat, but the thing that makes it a real drag is all the dialogue and waiting in between waves.
O YEA
Dude I don't get how you got more score than me and I had more skulls on and didn't die wtf
waste of fucking time doing this on heroic, got to 90k points and then the game instantly drained 60k of it in time bonuses. fucking bullshit.
Huh? I got it on heroic, i never got my score taken away. And i beat it after like an hour(on one play through) which is over 2x the par score
