I do my trim bands the same way, only I will put just a tad of superglue on anchor threads that pass under the trim ring while the trim ring is pulled tight. In all my 30 years of rod building I have never had a single trim ring come apart and the glue is transparent, and I keep the anchor threads facing down under the rod on both spinning rods or a casting rod so that any imperfections from the tie off do not show up.

Thanks for sharing, tho I have horrible experience with super glue. Either too much or white crusty finish. BUT you gave me an idea, I have UV fly glue that I could do it with. Thank you!

@@CASSTONECUSTOMS I just might try that UV fly glue thing, and I am also looking into epoxy that dries with UV lite or Blue lite, but it might be a bit $$$ for me.

In order to use the superglue technique, all you need is to buy the clear drying glue, not the glue that dries white like most superglues. I have tried other epoxies like the Crystal Clear Epoxy Resin that you can find in the craft stores, and it looks good, but it cracks like crazy after just a few trips

The only problem that I ran into with UV drying glue is that it dries hard with no give in it unlike most rod building epoxy like Flex Coat. The UV glue dries fast and clear but after fishing with it you will start to get cracks in it because it has no give too it. I first spotted this on my closed wraps and diamond wrap so I only ended up with waisted time both wrapping and finishing do to the cracks.

could you help me with a question which line to use I see that there are different measures for example (A) (d) (e) which function have many thanks

pesca CON chuchin hey, thanks for writing, A, B, C, D, E, F, and I think there are a few more, lower and higher. Those letters refer to the size thread. A is your most common smallest size thread while D is your more common upper size. A size for rods like bass, fly, ice, inshore. D would be use for like big game, large catfish, offshore, under wraps so on. Let me know if you have any more questions.
