This Celtics core of Tatum, Brown, White, Pritchard, and Horford were all here when they went through KD & Kyrie's Nets, the Bucks, Sixers, and Heat in previous years. So, it's not like they've never been through it before, and Holiday won a title with Milwaukee in 2021, so he's been through it, too. This narrative that they're not battle tested is moronic.
They also got swept by Kyrie and kd nets team but ppl forget that
They also lost to heat
lol great word moronic 😭🍀🤞🏾
@@arnoldjohn5581they’ve won just as much as they lost to the heat plus the heats best player isn’t 26
@@user-qd6wm3ix9o ppl (you) also forget half their team was injured that season and tatum still won a game by themselves 🤣
Is that not the point of the 1 seed?
First 25 sec dude talkin bout if Garland had a better game Celtics would lose.. dude that's how sports and you clearly didn't watch the game. Horford, who is a Celtic and on the Celtics team, shut him down
Draymond said that the Celtics were never scared.
Tatum has faced twice the criticism that luka has and it’s not close
There is not a single player in the entire NBA who gets more criticism then Tatum. It's ludicrous.
Chirping at and hating on the Celtics for handling their business like professionals is absurd. Boston has dominated this season and treated every game seriously. They have done it the right way. They took the regular season seriously and got the 1 seed. They took care of Cleveland and Miami quickly to minimize injury to themselves and rest for the ECF and Finals. There is nothing easy about winning. Why is the narrative always "they had an easy road"? How come the story isn't how they are the only team so far that was been a model of consistency which is actually hard to do. How come we don't praise them for their perfect road record so far? What about their empathetic bounce back wins from losses? That shows major mental toughness and growth. Are the Celtics at fault for being pros and finishing off opponents they are supposed to beat? I hope Joe and the coaching staff uses all this media attention and bashing as extra motivation to get the Cs really really pissed off. They will have their chance to unleash their anger on the team they meet in the finals (should they get there) and I can't wait to see it.
You sir, know ball. C’s in 5, let em hate ☘️☘️☘️
COOK!
Well said! The hate only makes them grow stronger 😅
If you don't win this year you're never winning it with that core. The East is WIDE open.
Ppl are talking about how boston isnt winning convincingly yet theyre the 1st to make it to conference finals yet no talks about nuggets getting beat by 45?! Bos is battle tested they have alot of experience so if their first test is the finals theyll be ready. Alot of nba champions made it because of injured teams i can name tons of teams
You must be new to watching the Celtics. If Tatum don't win this year he go be the Dak Prescot of the NBA
Shut up. @@imabizzybodyDon't even compare the Celtics to the Cowboys.
@@imabizzybody dak literally can’t win a playoff game and Tatum has been to 5 conference finals before turning 27. Not even close to a decent comparison
@@brandenbrooks8213 that's make it worse if you go to 6 conference finals with a decent team and don't get the win. It's championship or bust for the Celtics
@@imabizzybodymove on budfy your team is in Cancun right now
It’s almost like when your the number 1 seed you get to play easier opponents since you worked hard in the regular season to do that
I mean, there's a difference between 'easier' and then 'both teams we faced were missing their #1 player'.... At the very least they would have a couple more playoff game losses/ would be a bit more tired if they had to face Jimmy Butler and/or Donovan Mitchell/Jarrett Allen.
@@LysergiCoyotlthat heat narrative is overblown. Jimmy lost his playin game with the heat. They won the next game without him to even make the playoffs and had a historic 3 pt shooting night to beat the cs, Jimmy doesn't help that at all because he's not a shooter. Jimmy has been swept in the first rd before people act like those 2 finals runs makes it seem like he shows up In the playoffs everytime simply not true.
@@pikachureynolds1110 its all hypothetical anyway right, neither of us can know for sure what would have transpired. Anything from nothing different to the Heat winning the series, who knows. All I can say for sure is, the Celtics would not have had such an easy first round/would have lost either more games or come out of the series more tired and banged up. still lucked out.
@@pikachureynolds1110Jimmy literally just beat the crap out of your team last year and sent you home. You should know as well as anyone that he's a completely different player in the playoffs.
@@pikachureynolds1110 you realize he lost the play in game because he was injured literally the 1st quarter? you either are that stupid, or intentionally left that out which is pathetic. and ofc the heat team without Jimmy would beat the CHICAGO BULLS, you make it seem like they beat the 01 Lakers without Jimmy in the playin lmao. and i didnt even have to say this, but Jimmy only got swept once, and its cause in that series, the Heat was coming off of having. the shortest offseason in NBA history, and Jimmy lost 20lbs,everyone was gased and unable to be at full health, the same offseason he gained all the weight back and also finally got full rest for the 21-22 season. good try though.
Of course they have. But guess what? Sometimes that's how it goes when you take the regular season seriously and win significantly more games than the rest of the league. They got rewarded with an easy path after some brutal runs the last few years.
This team has faced adversity for years. Trust me, they aren't upset about not having to face it every single round in a grueling playoff run.
Someone with a brain finally said it
They’ll find ANYTHING to hit the Celtics with. “Easy run” “haven’t been tested” “should they be serious title contenders?” Celtics haven’t won a title but 1 thing they are is battle tested..they earned every bit of their path and that 1 seed
Facts
earned the #1 seed for sure .... but there is no discussion about how easy they've lucked out in postseason. Jimmy Butler out, Donovan Mitchell out. Knicks have 1/5 starters left and/or you get the garbage Pacers who also have had the easy road (No Giannis/Dame, Knicks injuries)....
lol yeah the same butler who had them in 8th
@@LysergiCoyotl that isn't their fault everyone got injured, also we haven't had the Unicorn either, stop with the excuses
@@LysergiCoyotl they’ve had luck on their side with injuries I can admit that. Ppl just talk like tatum and brown haven’t played in and won big games. It’s so wild to me lol
Credit Brad stevens, he built depth with this team unlike the Knicks. When porzingis went down horford and kornet stepped up
Definitely luke I have more respect towards him now
I thought the perks of having the best record in your conference was to have the easiest path in the playoffs 🤔🤔
Yea every team they faced was missing theyre best players. They took care of business but it wasn’t really convincing when they play healthy team will see
Boston has faced adversity for years lil bro they know what it takes to win
ESPN yall tripping…… who tf is this
Kenny, Pierre, Dmills, and Mike
@@Burak-qg1mnthey are terrible

@@Intr0verticalYou haven’t been shoved in enough lockers
@@tim.noonan - guy who was shoved in 100 lockers
The core group of Cs have faced adversity over the last 3 postseason. I’m not worried about facing adversity before the Finals.
Instead of "how easy the celtics have it". We should be reminded that those are the pros. These athletes get paid millions to perform. There is no excuse for one player getting injured. The next needs to step up. There should be more game sevens rather than looking for one 1 team to always dominate other pros. Hold teams, coaches, GM, all accountable.
Celtics have had it easy in playoffs though... No star player in either of their series (Butler and Donovan Mitchell). And now about to face either Knicks missing 4 starters, or Pacers who only made it this far because of no Giannis/Dame/ knicks injuries...
Thank you. I've been saying the same thing.
@@LysergiCoyotlLast i remember the Celtics where up 2-1 in that series before Donovan Mitchell for injured
@@ItsMeAnthonyJ The Celtics were likely going to win all their series anyway- they should be the title favorites, but 99% agree they should easily be the EC favorites. that's not what I'm questioning. Just their path would have been challenging enough to judge at least, or at least lose a couple more games, be more tired, etc. Their path has been easy. They are beating teams that would barely make playoffs without those missing players. That's all.
You guys faced two separate teams without its best player. Don't give me that no excuses crap.
People are just jealous and hating on the Celtics run because they wishes their teams were in that position. Is not the Celtics fault the other teams sucks. And I can guarantee anyone that they have plenty of playoffs experience to face whatever this time around. And I’m not even a Celtics fan but people are just talking nonsense here. Bye! ✌🏽
How can people be jealous of a team that hasn't won a championship in 4 presidential terms. One championship in almost 40 years and Boston fans claim they are the "Mecca" of the basketball world. Lmao the arrogance, win a championship first.
@@Kfarm2711 Yet in all these 4 presidential terms the only team to catch up to them in championships were the lakers to tied it 17 for each franchises. The rest of the league had their chance and now this version of the Celtics most likely will win this year and another Celtics dynasty is born 🥷☘️
@Kfarm2711 Your post reeks of fear and cope.
As a Celtics fan this is the most annoying playoffs I have to deal with, because everytime I sit there and watch the Celtics play even of they win i cant be happy because we are supposed to. Or maybe im just crazy but it feels like that 😢😢
They face it before though except KP. Jrue has faced it before as well. They are on a mission and the only team that can beat them are their self. If they go out and play their game and when having a bad shooting night fine ways to still score and play top tier defense then they will be hard to beat in a 7 game series
There’s nothing of substance to critique the Celtics about so the media tries to manufacture drama. Celtics can never win in the media’s eyes. If they win 4-0, well the opponent had injuries. If they go 7 games, it’s how could the Celtics possibly go 7 games against an injured opponent?! Celtics fans who actually watch the games see right through this.
And this is why ESPN has gone downhill when they give guys like these a platform to speak
The Celtics executed down the stretch when it counted most and that’s what counts
Or maybe just maybe the Celtics are just so good that they making it look easy!
they're great team but also playing injured teams missing their #1 players. they are only 'battle tested' in the regular season, their playoff matchups have been a joke so far.
@@LysergiCoyotl yeah blame them for something they have no control over!
@@Raider_Sage Im not 'blaming' anything what's the deal. There's nothing wrong with what has happened. It's not the Celtics fault that they are facing injured teams. It just is what it is. It's been easy. They are not tested with a real team yet.
@@LysergiCoyotlthis the first year their 2 best players in Tatum and brown have not been “tested” they’ve been tested in every year before this so it doesn’t matter to them
@@revampmusic56 they've been tested before and came up short. they finally have a full superteam. if they can't win with this team against all their injured competition, then the narrative on Brown and Tatum is going to be rough.
Also, why is everyone in the media completely omitting the fact the Celtics have been without their 7'3" 20ppg starting center for 6.5/10 games who completely changes the dynamic of their team? Narratives are run.
Porzingis being injured isn't remotely comparable to Giannis, Dame, Butler or Mitchell being injured.
@@Kfarm2711 I never said it was. You're also completely downplaying how significant the injury is. Do you understand how great porzingas was this season?
The Celtics had an easy run so far largely because of all their efforts early on. They made savvy trades, load managed their players without sacrificing wins, developed their bench and secured home court. They need every advantage they can get against whoever is coming out of the West should they get to the finals.
The hatred and jealousy/envy of Boston as a whole is so evident.
Boston is the mecca of sports, even more than New York is. People have always been jealous of Boston's success in sports, which is why they never get any love in the media and the goalposts is constantly moved for them, no matter what they do.
Celtics are taking care of business as they are supposed to do. If this was any other team, the media would be glazing that team/their players as the next coming of all time great teams.
This is one of the most real comments I’ve ever read.
You guys haven't won a ring in 16 years and have won one in the last 38. Trust me no one is jealous of you.
@Kfarm2711 If you weren’t jealous you wouldn’t be here trolling. Fans that are secure with their fandom to their chosen team don’t troll videos of opposing teams unless they’re scared. And that’s YOU 🫵🫵🫵
They're about to get the Pacers who've struggled to beat 2 hospital teams. This is the easiest path to the Finals I've seen in long time.
The only healthy series was probs Suns Timberwolves If im not mistaken maybe
In the first round yes. Second round Nuggets and Timberwolves both been healthy if I'm not mistaken
@muncho_manny Murray is definitely hobbled and has been cheeks for a large part of the series vs the Wolves. Nuggets are very beatable and the Wolves could beat them tomorrow
I didn't know this show for on ESPN. Are they still on house of highlights too?
First of all that's the point of getting the 1st see. And secondly, tf you want them to do, lose on purpose? You people are a bunch of haters and casuals and i am not even a Celtics fan.
Are you guys sleeping they have not faced adversity. This core of Celtics has been battle tested 5 to 6 conference finals. Jrue Holiday a Nba champion with the bucks.
If the Celtics had a rough road like the nuggets and wolves they would say “they aren’t getting through the East convincingly they aren’t winning games by much while they’re competition in the west are running through their competition with ease” 🤣🤣 ppl need a o just stfu about the Celtics already this is a sad narrative
They more than earned their overall #1 seed and matchups. Won both in 5.
How about you discredit the Nuggets for winning a title against a play in team Miami Heat?! Fact is we got robbed of a good NBA finals last season, so if the Celtics have one “easy run” out of the several times they’ve made deep runs so be it.
We played the top teams in the east .. heat and cavs
This was hard to watch
Is this an ESPN segment?
Dyde said the answer is let Jokich cook 😂
C’s taking care of business like a REAL #1 seed unlike the west 😭😭💪🏼
Ion know who these dudes are but I’m subscribing because they are more knowledgeable about basketball than a lot of these shows 💪🏾💪🏾even the Boston Hater 😂😂
Bruh...we ignoring regular season, 3 peat ECF, KP being injured throughout the playoffs, core being ,ore than battle tested...yeah this whole take is beyond dumb...
I think the Celtics championship hopes ride on KP. As long as he comes back for the finals they have a shot.
Iight I know Kenny from when he used to do 2k what if’s but other than that how these reg guys get a podcast on ESPN ?? You can see why Inside the NBA is getting cancelled nxt yr cause podcasts are taking over. I’m not hating I love to see it it’s just crazy the realization hit me
If Kristaps Porzingis stay healthy this season & consistent 2024 playoffs Boston big chance get #18 banner this season 💪🔥💪
Boston's elite regular season performance set them up for favorable playoff match ups. With that said, I can't recall any team in the last ten years having a less challenging road to the Finals than Boston right now.
that’s what you get nowadays. if you’re the 1 seed you literally play a team that was so bad they lost a play in game and then they played the cavs who have actually been underrated i mean they won nearly 50 games this season and earned that seed but the celtics just built a ridiculous high power team with a lot of firepower they can make a decent team look sorry
you must have forgot about the Bucks title run
Miami Heat Lebron teams ring a bell?
@@chiefwakil The Pacers from 2014, who earned the first seed, were a tougher opponent than this year's Pacers, Cavs with an injured Mitchell, and Heat with an injured Butler.
the disrespect and and dismissal attitude towards the Celtics is crazy can say on one hand they're breezing through the east like they don't play good teams then go yeah they don't have a shot to stop thw west teams. they ae the best team in the NBA this year they dominated and they have top offense and defense but to ahead make them feel like the underdog that's sure not to backfire
If Marcus Morris didn’t have a good game, it would’ve been a blow out. That’s the anomaly. That’s playoff basketball for you. Glad Cavs put up a fight. ☘️☘️☘️
Easy path or Celtics makes it look easy. All year they make it look easy that’s how they win 60+ games
Why is it that the Celtics when utterly dominated the Heat and Cavs without their third best player (Porzingis) and they get criticised for having an easy path...
But when a fully healthy Pacers team needs 7 games to beat a Knicks team that has more injuries then the heat and Cavs combined everybody gives them a pat on the back?
The outright bias / hate against the Celtics never ends - people will hate on Tatum and Brown no matter what happens. But lets look at one interesting set of data...
Celtics in the 3 seasons before drafting Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum:
113-133 (0.459)
Did not get past the 1st round
Celtics in 6 seasons with Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum:
296-176 (0.627)
3x Conference Finals
1x NBA Finals
More Kenny on espn
Until a team beats another team who's at full strength there will be lucky breaks along the way.
That's not the Celtics fsult because other teams (aside from injuries) in the East didn't strp up to give them competition.
Other teams had all season to tweak things before playoffs time.
Yes.
Yeah.
When Lebron was in the East, they were way more talented than any other team, but no one said anything about oh they had an easy road. This conversation is about clicks and you all don't understand true basketball. All the championship Celtics team truly operated as a team, they all sacrificed and this is what this current team is learning. You all also forget Tatum and Brown started their journey at 19 and they are way ahead of the curve than LeBum at their age now.
Marcus Morris was 10/13 man
This is the stupides take I've seen in a while
Thats the path of every single #1 ranked seed... smh
How about instead of critiquing the Celtics who have once again made the conference finals, you critique the Bucks, 76ers, Suns, Lakers, Clippers, and Warriors?! Those teams should have been much better!
Yes let's critique the Bucks who's star player didn't play a single minute and who's hospital team almost beat the Pacers.
This is the easiest trip to the finals for the Celtics
#celticsNation 💯
Easy? To say the least. Very little resistance. No resting this core shouldn’t win a championship. They’ve been here way too many times. No chip this season and they’ll be looked at like the Buffalo Bills from the early 90s and it’ll be time 💣 it up.
What are they supposed to do? Lose?😂
Tell me another harder 17 year old rapper............... U CANT 🗣️🔥😂
Yes, they have…not their fault tho. They’ve done what they’ve needed to and have taken care of business this far.
Welp, no Denver in finals
"Weak East!!!🗣️" 🍻🍺
As a Celtics fan I want the Timberwolves win but the Nuggets will win
Yall certified boston haters🤣 boston losing 2 more games max before the chip
they on that Lebron cake walk in east easy path no competition
Honestly I’m surprised they even lost a game but that says a lot a lot there heart and mental
Why are there so many Celtics haters
The knock off first take lmao
Yup, Celtics winning it all. Look how easy it is for them, plus vegas wants them to win. Im sure the western conference team will be hurt too.
People never talked like this when lebron gotveasy roads to the finals
easy easy there iis no easy in playoffs the Celts is so good that at the end of the game Celts is up by 15 pts all year they done that
Who are these clowns, ESPN?
Po avi btw
Why ask questions we all know the answer to lol.. yes the Celtics have had an easy route to the eastern conference finals. The weak east is hurt.
They have forgotten we are doing this without KP. We are injured too.
Lol
It's not like the Celtics are fully healthy
Nope I call it taking care of business!
Celtics hater 😂😂
Derrick does not like the Celtics
What is going on with ESPN? Really? lmao!
People love to hate, "they were a Garland game away from extending it". These hypotheticals are wild, thats like saying Celtics were a good Tatum game away from winning the finals. Duh 😂
Winning by 15 is a close game? This is getting ridiculous 😅
Celtics hate is real, like are we injuring opponents players? The MVP lost by 45 points and people talking about how the dude was standing court side, y'all gonna get humbled real soon.
Straight up dude. But you forget the Nuggets won something once. So they’re invincible and can’t be beaten because they won a title once. *sarcasm*
-
...is like you all saying Magic Johnson's Lakers is weak because he made it softly from the WEST & went 9x in the Finals🏆, while in the EAST Larry Bird's Boston, Isaiah Thomas' Pistons, Michael Jordan's Bulls have to mix it up HAR👊, now it's just "goes around comeback around"😄, Boston's time!
🎉
Boston can’t win they still gotta say some bad about em like how it wasn’t a convincing win 😂?they won didn’t they
The cakewalk narrative is tired. You earn a cakewalk when you get the 1 seed. Either it’s a cakewalk or they not good enough when they so happen to lose.
Who are these randoms?
Who are these people
Thinking the same thing
No lebron did for 9 years
The hate for the celtics is unreal its biased and people in their feelings not a real opinion people just don't like them
Celtics hate is crazy all over the league lmao.
Here's the truth the Celtics are a narrative everyone wants to move on from. Their story is the least entertaining so everyone is spitfully rooting for everyone else. All these other arguments are b.s. As a narrative the Celtics are the least interesting. It happens to everyone or every team people want new stories to root for every year. I get it but I don't care go Celtics
😂
Espn this is trash. What are we doing here?
Dude is such a hater
We know the Celtics are a bunch of chokers
We don’t trust the Celtics
Celtics run to the Finals is the easiest in history
