Been watching from the first episode consistently. This mighta been my favourite episode, good back n forth smiles n laughs. Obvi the info is super quality as well
D Wade's execution of the 'Drive Away' move was one of the reason he aesthetically was such a smooth player, he executed that play to perfection every time! D wade one of my faves of all time! By the way, 5:17 , too funny how JJ explained the most complex play of all for a whole damn minute: The advanced pass 😂😂😂. I think we all get it when we hear the term (even if you don't play bball lol)
Flash was great at getting to the hoop and finishing off the drive away but rejecting screens is nothing new and neither is the advance pass off an outlet pass to beat a team to the basket that might be slow getting back on D. Also, the pick and roll has always been the most basic play in 🏀 and drop/hedge/blitz/switching coverage are just KYP (know your personnel) options for the situation. The defensive rotations and counter moves offensively are what intrigues me now. I played in the throw it into the post and clear out days where there was a lot of 1-on-1, which was fun but this pace and space era is not just fun to play but more interesting to watch
This show makes me love basketball so much more. I’m glad theirs guys out there that enjoy taking the X and Os of the game. That’s the only way casuals will learn and I’m no casual by any means but even I learn a lot every episode so thank you guys
JJ and producers! Please please, do not feel “rushed” about breaking down the game/coverages/actions. You mentioned that in the beginning and that is 1 of the many things that makes you guys unique! No one really cares to break down the game like this nor as knowledgeable. So don’t feel bad. I love basketball and this is one of the first times I’m getting nba level education about the game. Please never switch up on that, love the pod thus far!!!
To be fair the Celtics had pretty big Leads they blew as well and if the pacers get the win one could easily say the Celtics blew it but naturally the main focus will always be on what happens at the end of the game
Hi JJ and Lebron, as someone who's always wanted to learn basketball strategy and nuances behind the plays this podcast has been really great. A suggestion: When JJ explains plays in the beginning it would be great if you could show a video of an example of what you are explaining.
Man, I feel irrelevant talking here, but first that logo for the podcast is fire. Second, I am not even kidding you, despite I don't understand most of the lexicon that is been used here, while knowing I played basketball for fun in my youth and still love it, you guys are hell of conversationalist and would have loved to meet you even though I wouldn't survive a second in your technical world. What I know for certain is that you speak my language, the language of people who think before they speak and do know what they are talking about, so we could connect on that level no matter the subject matter. Third, and I am not even lying, I took the time to come back to that podcast that JJ Redick is referring to when he speaks about Lebron's teammates hating on him. He does really talk about that in fact. And his guest did have quite a reaction to coach Paul Silas' quote. Man, thank you for showing to the world that, no matter the media, we still can do a hell of a job and still excel at it. That abreviation that Lebron came up with (FAT) though is so brilliant that it did in fact blew my mind and still does. Propos to you both for spreading the word of wisdom, whatever the subject matter may be. Peace
Love this podcast so much. Played basketball as a kid and just a casual watcher now, but I love when you’re able to see people at their best and the wealth of knowledge that is put forth, it’s amazing. This has me watching basketball differently now. Thank you both!
Greatest basketball podcast explaining the game - plays, coverages, strengths, weaknesses etc. I swear as I watch the games, I'm actually seeing the plays that are being explained on here being ran before my eyes and how the opposing team attempts to counter act. Amazing. Great work guys...keep it up.

Also hes been nothing but a positive role model to all who watch him. I admire what Bron has done he motivates me to do better in life man 💪

Everything yall doing here is 5 stars 12/10 for me personally.. it’s the little things.. the logo.. the intro music.. all of it. Genuinely look forward to this!
JJ’s impact on the game will be greater if he stays in media. His personal pod, and this one, are genuinely changing the way fans interact with the sport.
I truly am thankful for JJ, Jason Timpf from Hoops Tonight, and Ben Taylor from Thinking Basketball for the immense knowledge I've gained the past two years. I always was a relatively smart basketball player and fan, but the conversations I can have now with guys who played at a higher level than me, guys I play men's leagues with, or just other fans is so valuable.
This podcast feels like university: first videos are ok, but if you don't pay attention you end up pausing latest videos to review concepts. Thank you for what you give us
That Indiana advance pass is like no huddle offense in football. The defense doesn’t have time to set and figure out who needs to be where. Keeps you off balance
Great comp.... Also says team is well coached....cuz many young players need to know what exactly they need to do at such frenzied pace.... Only comes from coaching, practice and rigour with buy-in from all 15 players
too many people had only focused on the SuperStarTalent ... AS IF the "rest of the roster" dont count .. we NOW recognize the bench players have their own skill set that HELP in so many ways role players are essential to the TEAM
This podcast isn't fair, it's like if Kobe and LBJ were on the same team in their prime, no other podcasts have a chance! It's also my favorite Bball Podcast now! Love it!
Can we get an "Encyclopedia" playlist? all the intros explaining plays, coverages, sets? That would be awesome. Thanks to everyone who makes this show work.

But the lakers can definitely deny a rookie head coach who will guaranteed fold in the playoffs, just as he did as a player
@@andrewchester3527they gave Nash a chance…Why not 🤷🏾♂️
@@andrewchester3527Maybe he folded as a player because his best hand was in coaching.
@@bulziahebrandNash is the real deal
Now I want a "Mind the game" t shirt.
I wonder if it's for sale anywhere?
Me 2
I was literally gonna say the same thing just off the strength of the design. DROP THE MERCH BOYS!!!
as a Timberwolves fan I love that we get to hear more from Lebron about our teams lehnth
So cool for the Lakers to put the interview public!
Everything about this show is perfect. The insight into the tactical side, the expression of emotion when talking about scenarios, the production quality, and the chemistry!!!
Keep it up guys and best of luck for the future ❤️
👍 AGREED
if you know basketball at any level, this is the podcast for you, basketball master class
Even better for the people who don’t know basketball.
Been watching from the first episode consistently. This mighta been my favourite episode, good back n forth smiles n laughs. Obvi the info is super quality as well
👍
“I made the pod!” WHAT A QUEEN!
ALWAYS FOUL up 3….. and then Game 1 Celtics Pacers happened 😂😂😂
I was screaming at the screen.
Agreed but in that specific example Siakam was late and he could’ve fouled him and Jaylen still hits it and they lose the game right there
That was the longest 2 weeks ever it felt like a month. Glad my GOAT back and Savannah made the pod🔥
Great video LeBron and JJ
This show makes me love basketball so much more. I’m glad theirs guys out there that enjoy taking the X and Os of the game. That’s the only way casuals will learn and I’m no casual by any means but even I learn a lot every episode so thank you guys
This is a breath of fresh air, i’m so sick of SAS and skip and shows like that.
👍
Bron would literally be the best analyst on tv if he was on a show.
“They got a lot of length” is gonna be meme’d im callin it now🤣
where u been?
Fuck are you, 7?
@@whitebwoi He's so late 😂
No Diddyyyyyy
JJ and producers! Please please, do not feel “rushed” about breaking down the game/coverages/actions. You mentioned that in the beginning and that is 1 of the many things that makes you guys unique! No one really cares to break down the game like this nor as knowledgeable. So don’t feel bad. I love basketball and this is one of the first times I’m getting nba level education about the game. Please never switch up on that, love the pod thus far!!!
👍
Indiana threw that game away….
Jaylen Brown is much better than people think
@bRIOn909 absolutely blew it.
hopefully they steal game 2
@@DeAndresTellez i agree with you but thats not what he said. Pacers had so many stupid turnovers towards the end
Man bad all across the board
To be fair the Celtics had pretty big Leads they blew as well and if the pacers get the win one could easily say the Celtics blew it but naturally the main focus will always be on what happens at the end of the game
Hi JJ and Lebron, as someone who's always wanted to learn basketball strategy and nuances behind the plays this podcast has been really great. A suggestion: When JJ explains plays in the beginning it would be great if you could show a video of an example of what you are explaining.
you PAY nothing for these episodes,
it's FREE .. duh!
4am Pacific is wild
7pm China time, perfect for me
Only “wild “ for you
Man, I feel irrelevant talking here, but first that logo for the podcast is fire.
👍
Greatest basketball podcast explaining the game - plays, coverages, strengths, weaknesses etc. I swear as I watch the games, I'm actually seeing the plays that are being explained on here being ran before my eyes and how the opposing team attempts to counter act. Amazing. Great work guys...keep it up.
YEP!!
(we feel the same way)
We are insanely blessed to be able to hear these points of view already. Imagine all the stories n experiences Bron has to share once he retires… I’m always dreading the day but I’m glad I got to witness 20+ years of greatness.
Production improves with each episode
this video so crisp omg 😭😭😭
I'M HOOKED! This is unlike anything I've seen. I love watching listening to 2 people who love and are so knowledgeable about the game.
I will never get tired of Lebron's "lenth" talk 😂.
👍
CAN WE PLEASE BRING RAJON RONDO ON HERE AS A GUEST!
We need an episode on Lebron talking through his mentality for Game 6 ECF vs the Celtics
There is a video of LeBron talking about his EFC game against the Celtics
This podcast is not only a credit to your knowledge and experience, but a credit to the sport itself. It helps me savor and appreciate the games at a much deeper level understanding the concepts discussed.
LeGM done made it happen we just waiting for Reddick to sign 😭
If it doesn't happen what will you say then?🤔🍻🍺
Facts💯😂
Yall gone turn on him just like every coach bron has had…
no
They’ve been over here coaching eachother before JJ gets the job rite in front of everybody’s faces and you gotta love it.
When they lose he’ll be one the scapegoat like always
@@aquartermil 👎
there's a lot of NBA coaches,
that go from team to team to team
because they got fired .. duh!!

If you dont like Lebron James your a hater. Period. Bro has done nothing but put his hard work achieved his goals and more. Bought his single mother a crib and anything she ever could want. Also hes been nothing but a positive role model to all who watch him. I admire what Bron has done he motivates me to do better in life man 💪
People forget he had such a hard start to life, you can not like him but why spend so much energy hating
He called himself the goat.. automatically out. 4 of 9 he’s out. If he didn’t call himself goat I’d really like him.
@@evananthony2337cry about it lmao he IS the goat. There has never been a better player to ever touch a basketball period. go argue with a wall 🤣
Always nice to see a coach chilling on a poadcast with his star player 👀👀
Thank you guys! Every time I wake up on a day y’all drop it such a good sag
The explanations do not need to be quick at the start JJ, we love the in-depth analysis and strategies being discussed so we can be on the same page as you'all
"he's gonna struggle to score." 😂😂😂😂😅
Good on Bron for defending and speaking up for Clark. Hope she sees this video and listens to that advice 💯
Let’s goooo! Haters were yall at
The haters are not BBall heads because if they were they would be lovers instead of haters. IJS.
Lebron sounds stupid af😂
the haters are not invited
Everything yall doing here is 5 stars 12/10 for me personally.. it’s the little things.. the logo.. the intro music.. all of it. Genuinely look forward to this!
6:22 Start of discussion
🐐
Lebron said “yep” about a thousand times this episode 😂
Atleast it wasn’t a million times like last time 😂
stop with the nitpickin
he used quite a few different terms
other than yep
JJ’s impact on the game will be greater if he stays in media. His personal pod, and this one, are genuinely changing the way fans interact with the sport.
The number of "yup"s said from the 12 to 13:30 minute mark is crazy
? do YOU have a problem with
the most COMMON word (yep)
being used each time there's
an agreement with what's being said.
I love these two together, man.. Lol. The laugh about the JJ coaching rumors (I think that's what JJ was hinting at) had me weak lol.
The playoffs really shows how important having amazing role players on your team because they make a huge difference to the game
I like the mind the game shirt.
JJ PAIRED UP WITH LEBRON FOR A PODCAST?? THIS IS GONNA BE THE BEST PODCAST OUT THERE LETS GO!!!!
This what I wanna hear. Not no Stephen A smith, Shannon sharpe, Charles Barkley BS.
You know how it go Bro, let Vanna do whatever Vanna doing 😂😂😂😂
Pacers would be a 10th seed with Ham as their coach.
This podcast feels like university: first videos are ok, but if you don't pay attention you end up pausing latest videos to review concepts.
Thank you for what you give us
JJ : BREATHES
Bron : YUP🙂↕️
That Indiana advance pass is like no huddle offense in football. The defense doesn’t have time to set and figure out who needs to be where. Keeps you off balance
Great comp.... Also says team is well coached....cuz many young players need to know what exactly they need to do at such frenzied pace.... Only comes from coaching, practice and rigour with buy-in from all 15 players
Remember , Game 3 was when OG got hurt , i believe early in 4th quarter as Knicks were up by 9 and Lost their Best Defensive Player 🤔🧐🫡✨
The NBA have evolved to everyone on the court can ball ! The new NBA is to talented
YEP!!
(we said the same thing)
too many people had only focused on the SuperStarTalent ...
AS IF the "rest of the roster" dont count ..
we NOW recognize the bench players have their own skill set that HELP in so many ways
role players are essential to the TEAM
Lol the way JJ smirks when Bron brings up Tj Mconnell. 15:20
Video quality is spectacular another great video
The quality is amazing!!🔥
Spent way too much time trying to figure out what the scar on Lebron’s face was (left side of screen) and it was the shadow of his hat 😂
one of the best pods in the game - just good clean basketball talk
Favorite podcast
I knew I was going to love this pod... and each week, it gets better...
18 seconds ago is crazyy
This podcast isn't fair, it's like if Kobe and LBJ were on the same team in their prime, no other podcasts have a chance! It's also my favorite Bball Podcast now! Love it!
16:10 I would've been cracked up 😂😂😂
Can we get an "Encyclopedia" playlist? all the intros explaining plays, coverages, sets? That would be awesome. Thanks to everyone who makes this show work.
