@@eldoradoguitars6456 thanks Mike! That’s a good way to describe this one. It’s cleans up amazingly well with guitar volume too. Goes from clean to blues to mean without touching the amp.
They’re both great. The plate stack takes some finesse to get it tight and the highs under control. I probably prefer CF overall but the wild sound of a plate stack is fun.
@@groundzeroampworks780 I've noticed that as well. I love the mid-range throatiness that I've found in one of them I tried. It was a 5 gain stage and I placed a 33k cold clipper as the 3rd stage, and the rest were very similar in the cathode structure to the Snorkler Mod. I think I kept most of the coupling values higher than I would on a cathode follower circuit.
@@ironageamplification1791 no cold clipper in this one. In fact, I rarely use them ever. Elevated preamp voltages at the PI supply really help in this type circuit.
Really digging this one Jeremy. Raw and pissed off but still organic and not buzzy/fizzy. Killer job!

As with all your work this is super tight and the clarity is awesome! 🤘🤘🤘
@@LucasMastropasqua thanks so much!
Nice, man! Sounds awesome. I'm always going back and forth around Plate fed and Cathode follower.
What is main difference in sound?

Brutal, love it!
Sounds great!
Thanks!
Awesome.
Thanks bro
Need one!
Sounds sick. Out of curiosity, have you ever worked on Laneys? Such as the GH and VH series?
