    What I lived is although I had both parents in the home, they can never take place of God's Love. My parents had flaws that impeded their ability to function in healthy mother and father roles. I thank God for Jesus, because of what he achieved at Calvary I am made whole. God is a Parent to me in ways no flesh can be.

    13:16 “He wasn’t ready to be a father when my mother got pregnant”
    Proper framing: “He wasn’t ready to be a father when he impregnated my mother”.
    He ran away from his responsibility.
    Abandoning your children is inexcusable.

    • @TABULOUS1
      @TABULOUS1 Місяць тому

      The REALITY of the accountability that kollonized minds would hold her to if her maternal procreator were BLAQ:
      * "YOUR MOTHER CHOSE TO lay and procreate with a guy that wasn't ready to be a father, before she was prepared to raise a child". *
      Procreating with a guy when NEITHER OF YOU are equipped to parent, builds sociopaths and in fact, aligns with abandonment, in that sense -- but somehow, it's not perceived as "inexcuseable" abandonment when the babymama is hwyte.

      I believe that’s why he told her his regrets, no one on this planet is without fault, his was being afraid, when he was needed to take responsibility, and be accountable for his actions….but there is always a second chance and I’m glad to see she did forgive his fault and let him in not only her life but her children life. We all have a lower self it is our mission in this realm to reach for higher self and live, think and do better

    With a man, once he's hurt once, he's down for the count. A woman for the most part will keep trying. Vulnerability and respect as her father said is important in a relationship. Also, trust and love. Those ones who grew up without a father figure need to remember it has nothing to do with them. Everyone has issues including our parents.

    Matthew 6:12. We are obligated to forgive as we as imperfect people need forgiving too. God’s forgiveness is conditional. Forgiveness does not mean approval of what was done but gives the innocent one relief from the burden of holding a grudge ❤❤❤

    This was more important to the world than you will ever know Alicia. We live in a society….a world of woman who are left to raise a child (children) alone. They did not make another human being alone. Even a sperm donor has to come from another human being. It takes two! lol. This conversation and experience from your life will open up dialogue for thousands. Thank you for opening up your personal journey before us and thus freeing others to be free in theirs. ❤

    WOW...Truly an interesting, raw and emotional piece. Its wonderful to know that Alicia and her Dad are building a bridge towards each other. One based on mutual respect and sometimes painful love, but love nonetheless.
    I just hope that Krucial received the same consideration because other people separated this dynamic duo. I hope there's an olive 🫒 branch for Krucial too.
    Alicia, Thank you for sharing. Continue to open doors with your keys 🔑

    I must say that a real father isn't just present, but they are PRESENT.... Sometimes ppl are so desperate to push and force men in the lives of their children. When in fact behind closed doors there is so much growing up for them to do too. If a person feels that they aren't ready to be there for another person it is most likely for the better of everyone (words are powerful and have meaning). Someone can't love another unless they come to love and understand themselves first.... Alicia Keys has still turned out into a fine human being-without the unnecessary strain and confusion which occur from bad relationships.

    It’s so important to overstand that Alicia grew into the woman, artist, mother and wife she became growing up without her father, raised by her single mother. She wrote songs from pain, wrote sings from not having to be able to artistically contrast “the having”. Her life story sets the stage for her art.
