I'm not much of a video person - I'm a text guy generally - but your channel is one of the only ones I actually go to for synth and app demos, reviews and tips. I got Koala months ago but just upgraded to AU3 and Samurai, and today is my day to teach myself how to use it. This is perfect! (BTW, my trick for recording guitar is to use AUM - I record into AUM and run Koala as a main track audio instrument. I click on the pads and, instead of sampling live, it opens a file dialog. I go into "AUM Recordings" in Audioshare and load em from there. Not as quick as live sampling, but it works pretty quickly.
@@TheSoundTestRoom I thought you made the sample from your playing. Just waiting for my mate to get here then off for my first days work since March last year. Have a good day.
Wow cool sample Doug. Great tutorial , and you were 💯 correct with that statement about this sorta similar to Maschine, only about 500 and some odd dollars cheaper! Cheers, Klay
I kept this sampler in mind, and forgot about it, then one gentleman on my Instagram puts up all most exclusive "Koala" vids/tracks, and I remembered you covering this thing, I just had to grab it. !! I'm not disappointed, it's just a load of fun. Thanks Doug and Jo 🙏🙏
I covered that in another video, but I think it would have taken a little too long to do it with this particular sample, plus I didn’t want all of it just a few notes. But, yeah, the lazy chop is very cool, it’s very similar to Manual Mode in the Maschine MK3.
I don’t use external storage so I honestly couldn’t answer that, but I suspect that Sample Crate might be able to do that. I think Jacob Haq uses external storage devices so he may be a better person to check with. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful here😊

I knew you were good on guitar but that’s a great lil ol’ blues riff. Well played.
Thanks, but that isn’t me, it’s a sample

Thanks Doug.
Fab. The real takeaway here was the separation by channel routing in AUM so that you could treat the three parts independently. Cheers.Lee

yes, Koala is great
Hmm… this is the closest I’ve seen to a useful Koala tutorial. I may be able to get some use out of this after all- thanks!

Yes, Koala is a really popular sampler and pretty easy to use.
@@TheSoundTestRoom actually opened my eyes to some stuff I should have been doing via Maschine! Funny, how that works
Thanks Doug for the great tutorial 😎👍🏼
Great demo Doug!
Is the routing possible in Nanostudio 2 ? Please show us. Many thanks Doug for a great tutorial.
Thanks
Surprised you didn't use autochop "lazy chop" feature, it allows you to chop while the sample is playing.

@@TheSoundTestRoom I understand, this video made AUM click for me. Much obliged.
can koala detect the key and/or bpm of the samples?
I think can detect BOM, and it can definitely stretch audio to suit
Is there any way to give a name to the samples?
If yes, how?
Thanks in advance !
Is there any app (Koala, Sample Crate or other) that lets you preview/audition a sample or loop from an external HD? Big Thanks!

@@TheSoundTestRoom BIG Thanks Sir - you're the BEST!
Watching to find out how to open aum and you don’t show it.
AUM works just like any other app, you just tap it to open it
