    Have delta dumps,close the slow down went up fine as soon as I release a little pressure from slow down it starts to lower what might be the issue? I even change the whole pump and dumps from my other car still the same thing? Ho is greatly appreciated

    • @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
      @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS  Рік тому

      It has to be a dump issue. My guess is you have trash in the needle of the dump. Unscrew the stem on the dump and pull it out, look inside the small holes for metal debris. There is a small metal looking pin on top, use a screw driver to push that in to open the dump and spray carb cleaner in there to flush it out with the valve open.

    Hello there. When I hit the switch to lower my front it comes down hard and fast scared the hell out of me last time so I closed the check valve and it still slams goes up good but slams down. Your thoughts? Thanks great videos man

    • @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
      @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS  6 років тому

      Izzy Gomez my first question would be, have you changed your fittings around recently and do you have Parker slow downs? Parker slow downs if installed backwards won’t work at all. Second have you lost fluid recently where you have had to add some? If so you could have air in the lines which would cause it to drop fast, it will work itself out. Last, your needle in the slow down could be bad not doing anything. There is only one thing that slows down your drop, that is your slow down valve. My advice would be to hit the switch up and then down carefully and just barely tapping it to try and work out any air that may be in the lines, if you do this 4 times and it still hasn’t slowed down when dropping, you have a slow down issue and they will either need to be reversed if installed incorrectly or replaced.

      Could be several things but I’d start with making sure the fluid is full. If it is full, I’d take the motor off and clean it with carb cleaner real good, then reinstall and try it. It’s possible the shaft seal is leaking fluid into the motor gumming it up. That is pretty common.

    • @russellharris2621
      @russellharris2621 Місяць тому

      @@adammoseley519 the smoking is probably coming from the motor. My guess is you are leaking a little bit of fluid into the motor from the shaft seal. I’d remove the motor, clean it with brake or carb cleaner really good. Reinstall it after it’s had time to dry and see if it still smokes. If fluid is getting into the motor the inside will be black and kind of gummed up.

    Front of the car keeps getting slower and slower at raiseing it up over summer. Like itll raise up only a inch now with a tap at the switch each tap. It will raise all the way up and hold. It raises level. The rear will jump up fast. I have 3 solenoids running 60 volts to the nose and 48 volts to 3 solenoids to the rear. Have a new CCE competition pump to the nose. Could it be worn solenoids causing resistance? Could it be a bad motor? Could the brushes need to be cleaned already? I remember tryin to make it hop and raised it up n down like 10 -12 times straight and some smoke came out the motor if that helps.

      Could be any number of things but what stands out the most is either the motor, or the batteries. Either is simple to figure out, start by swapping your front and back motors and see if that fixes your problem. If it does then you know you have a problem with the motor, if the problem is the same then I would take the batteries and have them all tested, might have a dead cell in one batteries causing your issues. You don’t have to take the batteries out or disconnect them to have them tested, just take the car to a auto parts store and they can quickly test them. Start there and let me know how it turns out. Could be something deeper like pump head seals but start with the obvious items first. If you want to contact me directly on FB, go to Lowrider Hydraulics Tips page, I manage that page and you can send me photos and videos to help figure out your issue.

      My guess is the pump head seals or something with the pump head, it’s a cheap fix but time consuming. I’d start by taking the pump out, drain the tank, remove the 4 bolts holding the tank on then pull the tank off. The pump head has several bolts to remove, after removing them gently move it back and forth so the seal will let go and you can detach the pump head. Open the pump head and look at the rubber seals. Contact Primo Seals and replace the seals.

    • @markfloyd3352
      @markfloyd3352 4 роки тому

      Pump seals looked good, but the spline key inside the block after pulling pumphead off is a smooth circle with only 4 teeth left.

    • @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
      @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS  6 років тому

      Riddler Quintero I would start by asking you a simple list to the hardest questions, does your switchbox have a in-line fuse in the power wire? If it does, check the fuse, if not I would open the box and take an ohm meter and connect one side to where the switchbox wire connects to the battery and the other side to where the power first goes into the switchbox to see if the wire is solid, meaning the ohms meter reads that there is a connection.If you’re getting no power to your switches and you hear no clicking then it has to be the power wire going to your switch box. I would also want to verify that it is on the second battery getting 24 V. I would be willing to bet that you have a bad power wire.

      Not likely to help. In colder climates if you are running non detergent it will get thick and lift slower. Other than that it could be any number of things. You are saying it sound the same but doesn’t lift the same which leads me to think it is something wrong with your pumphead. Either pumphead seals or a cracked pumphead. First step is filling the tanks, second charge your batteries, if neither of those help then it would pumphead. Bleeding the lines only helps when you have a new setup or you ran low on fluid and refilled. Either way the air in the lines normally works itself out without having to bleed the lines.

    • @russellharris2621
      @russellharris2621 Рік тому

      @@andresmascorro1589 it’s normal for motors to spark a little bit no matter how old they are. The more voltage the larger the sparks. If it sound like a grinding noise when you hit the switch it could be that you have a bad shaft seal that is allowing fluid into the motor. Not likely to happen on a new setup. After charging batteries and topping off with fluid, if it’s still slow, it’s your pumphead. The seals are cheap to replace and if it has cracked or something, get a Marzocchi pumphead. If it’s a street car, #9 or #11, if it’s a hopper #13. Make sure you have plenty of battery power to run a #11 or #13. Sometimes what comes in the pumps are the cheaply made “China” pumphead that are bad about shattering and cracking. I never use those if I can help it.
