    I really appreciate you making this video. Helped me fix my set up. I thought it was my solenoids cause I was hitting the switches like crazy. I replaced the solenoids but that didn’t fix it. So I took the batteries out one by one with a multimeter and checked them. 2/3 had a 12.6 volts and one battery had 12.0 volts. So I had one bad battery which did the trick and made my car not go up and click. I replaced my batteries with odyssey ones. Also my ground connected to the quick disconnect was corroded inside. For being out in the elements for too long and I never thought to check them to make sure they were clean for over 2 years. Anyways. Cleaned up the ground. New batteries. My car goes up and down better than ever 😊

    Great video! Question... I get a clicking sound when I hit the switch for both the front and back pump. Does that mean I may have a bad battery? I checked the voltage and all look good but like you said, could be a bad cell in one of the batts.

    • @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
      @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS  Рік тому

      Few different things can cause it. Bad grounding is normally the issue. The solenoids need to be grounded very well to bare metal. Your pumps also need to be grounded well. Batteries can also be the reason. If you run your batteries low or dead often it can cause the solenoids to go bad sooner. You could have a weak battery in your setup causing it. Have all your batteries load tested at any auto parts store. Make sure all connections are good. Hope that helps.

    Assuming evweything is wired correctly. With the use of test light, I connect the clip side to a ground & the 1st solenoid lights up where the cable from battery connects to the first solenoid banks do What does it mean? NOTE: the ground quick disconnect cable is NOT connected yet!!

    • @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
      @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS  Рік тому +1

      Two answers to that question. First answer is, you are suppose to get the light if you are grounding the clip and touching the first side that comes from the battery, however you should only have power there if the ground/quick disconnect is connected. If you are getting a light with the quick disconnect disconnected, it means your system is grounding out somewhere and you need to track that down before moving forward. My guess is you are running a two bank system? If you’d like to contact me directly for quicker responses, I’m on FB and IG. In the comments should be my direct link.

      I really appreciate the reply.....& yes sir i am running 2 banks. Currently 4pump set up on 6batts. Normally 8-10batts but took 4 out to temporarily use for testing on my other build. Im one that don't doesn't involve myself with social media so i don't have FB or IG. My wife & kids do so i will have one of them dig it up for me. Im pretty sure my wiring setup is ok, as for the wires condition they were new lil over a year. Everything was working great until i recently removed all 4 pumps to replace "E-Seals", shaft seals, etc. Prior to putting pumps back, i went ahead & replaced ALL solenoids with "new" ones. Assuming everything was fine after installing it all back in place........ARCH at the quick release!!!

    If one of your solenoids sticks open; will it cause the power to keep going through all three? Like a stuck switch.

      @@russellharris2621 thanks for the reply, I replaced my “front” switch a few months ago. But yesterday I went tot lift the front and it kept going. I undid the ground pretty fast; the switch felt fine.

    • @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
      @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS  Рік тому +1

      My suggestion would be to disconnect the 24v wire to the switches and then tap the ground together to see if it’s still lifting. If it is then the solenoids are stuck open, if it doesn’t lift then you had a stuck switch. I’ve had this happen before and my solution was to take a small drop of lubricating oil and put it at the top of the switch and let it fall into the switch, then work the switch both ways about 20-30 times. Didn’t have any problems after that. Sometimes they get dirty and get stuck one direction.

    So if im not getting any power to my switches does it mean my batteries are dead

    • @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
      @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS  4 роки тому

      Not necessarily, could be a break in your power wire for the switch box. A good way to know is, does it click? If you hear a click noise coming from the trunk then it could just be low batteries but if you hear nothing at all, switchbox power wire could be bad for one reason or another.

    Hi. I had a run away motor. I hit the front switch and wen't up .and motor kept going.un pluge'd it. But selenoid's didn't burn up? I bout new one's and put them in. Hit the switch. And the motor pop's just a tap? Can it be the front dump? Battery's are good motor good noid's are good ? Help? Please? Thank's

    • @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
      @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS  7 років тому

      assassin's ops gaming motor was probably damaged when it kept going, try taking the motor off and cleaning it with brake cleaner inside really good, let dry for about 15 minutes and put it back on and try it. There may be debris that has broken off inside the motor that you can clear out and it be fine. Wouldn't have anything to do with dumps. Also, make sure you're switchbox wire is only getting 24V from second battery.

    my solenoids

    • @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
      @LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS  6 років тому

      Victor Lazaro just grounded somewhere on the battery rack. I was only running 4 batteries when this video was made, if you are running more than that, it is possible that the voltage is too high for the tester light. May need to use a voltage meter.

    • @victorlazaro24
      @victorlazaro24 6 років тому

      What setting does it need to be on the voltage meter and is it the same process of testing it
