I have been watching several cooking channels usually the same ladies have been around for a long time...But I happened to scroll to your channel and love how you communicate and explain very well! I will be looking at your other videos and subscribing. So glad I found you!
I made this dressing a few days ago without adding the chicken. It was absolutely delicious and so moist. My whole family was impressed. Thank you for this recipe. I will be making it again and again❤️.
I just made this and it was tasty on this cold and rainy day in Dallas. The Texan/Alabamian in me compelled me to add a smidge of sage - it was PERFECT! Thanks for sharing this delicious dish.
I was excited to watch this video because dressing is one of my favorite foods any time of the year. I was surprised to see that your recipe is exactly how I make my dressing withe the exception is I also add chopped boiled eggs. I have never cooked it in the crockpot but I will be drying that soon.
Yum! I bet the eggs add a bit of deliciousness!!! Thank you so much for watching! I love cooking and cooking together (in my mind 🤪) makes it so much more fun!!!
Im gonna make this recipe today! Got my cornbread in the oven right now! Can't wait to try the crockpot method it will be my first time! Your from Arkansas! I live in West Plains, Mo 30 mins from Arkansas. New to your channel! Can't wait to watch more of your videos! Thanks for the recipe!❤
@@helenfaulkner2894 I hope you love it!!! I haven’t gone back to making dressing the old way since I started making it in the crockpot. We think it’s that good. Yummy!!!
I found this today looking for a way to do dressing in a crockpot to take to dinner elsewhere. I am from Texas and cornbread dressing is the real deal. But my husband is from up north so I will have to yankify the recipe and add more bread, less cornbread and do white cornbread to fool the eye lol. But the idea of in the crackpot and done is wonderful. Thank you!!!
We love this so much!!! I believe I use yellow but either will work. Hahaha about the Yankee hubby. I think he will ❤❤❤ it!!! Thank you for joining in. I love cooking and I love cooking with y’all!!!
Thank you for this video. I have made this dressing for several years now and is perfect!! I'm on here again watching this video to get the ingredients. I seem to lose it every year.
Hi Jan, I just found your video. I live right down the road from you in SE OK I'm looking forward to making this recipe. You explained the recipe very well. Thank you.
Hi Jan, I just stumbled upon your video while searching for crockpot recipes. Can't wait to try this one. Also was excited to hear you say Ft. Smith, AR. We lived in Greenwood for 15 years and moved away 4 years ago. Lovely area. :) 🥰Thanks again for a wonderful recipe!
First time watching. Make this but never from.scratch. I use box dressing and raw chicken breast. I add the soup on top of chicken. No matter how you make it , it is yummy. Actually making it for dinner tomorrow.
The host is correct as she said at the beginning: "If you like a drier stuffing, this recipe is NOT for you." Too much with the 2 cups water/broth and the two cream of chicken soups. I make the Stovetop Dressing (One pkg) with tap water, one can of cream of mushroom, 1/2 can of milk. Good idea to cook the chicken at first. I top with about 1 cup of Pepperidge Farm Dressing, just perfect. Oh! The best is in the oven at 350F, 45-55 minutes. You can simply use 1-2 Boullion cubes as well. (Adjust broth/water.) I boil carrots first, then add to casserole. Perfect!
I was looking for a crockpot dressing & came across your video & it was perfect. I made your recipe as a side dish w/Pork Chops & gravy; also cooked PC's in a crockpot. Yep, I'm in South Texas. It's December 17th & 83 degrees...LOL Thanks for sharing
I was born in Fort Smith in 1942. Lived there until i married in 1959, moved to Florida, been threr ever since. Still have friends there I'm the last of my family
Thank you lady! Rgus recipe sounds delicious! How long did you say you cooked rhus? I thought you said 2 hrs. But then i understood when you were demonstating that you said to cook it on high for 2 hrs. Then 2 hrs on low? Please reply i need to know. Thank you GOD bless you and your family
@@peggyleekight2398 oh heavens sorry for the confusion. I believe I cook it on high for 2 hrs or low for 4. It is all cooked really just the eggs. Enjoy!!!
I just found your channel while in search for a crockpot chicken and dressing recipe that doesn't use Stovetop Stuffing. Your recipe is just what I was looking for. Thank you for sharing! I can't wait to make this!!!
@@jandyer1650 I'll let you know, but I am most positive we will love it. We don't like the Stovetop Stuffing version. It just tastes weird using that boxed mix.
I use thighs and I poached them on the stove. I shred them and then I have my homemade chicken broth I had seasonings to the water along with some chicken better than bouillon and I've got my homemade stock I don't have to buy cans.
Sounds wonderful!!! You’ve got great cooking knowledge and know what you like. Perfect!!! I’m sure you keep your family happy. Congrats!!! Thanks for watching! Be blessed!
Yea!!! I’m not 100% sure. But it says use them, I always have and it’s delicious. I follow my recipes pretty close. I guess I’m afraid of what might happen if I don’t. Hahaha! I hope you love this recipe. I sure do.

We call it stuffing up here but does it really matter what you call it so long as you call it delicious. :-) I love cornbread and cornbread stuffing so I have moved away from my mother and grandmother's bread stuffing which is also delicious just I like cornbread better and I have no family left so I only have to please me.

Hahaha! Totally agree. My poultry seasoning has a good amount of sage. My sweet MIL (now gone.) could never get enough sage. Thank you so much for watching. 😋
I think you meant to say 2 cans total of cream of chicken, if not 4 cans are way too much. (When you were reading off your recipe at the end) Thanks for the recipe. Looking forward to more videos.

Gonna try this but I like golden mushroom in my dressing
That sounds wonderful. Enjoy!!!
I add a box of stove top stuffing instead of old bread biscuits or toast or crackers {period}
Why do you not add your butter into the bowl before pouring it in the crockpot?
Is this recipe in print??
Also use liner in crock pot saves work
I made and love it, but I have never use eggs . What does the eggs do?
I want to say it just helps it to be a little firmer consistency. I’m so glad you loved it!!! We do too!!!❤️
I substitute pepperage farm stuffing for the bread.
Delicious!!!
Hey Jan, I would like to know how many cups of cornmeal makes a 8 inch pan of cornbread? Thank you for your response, enjoy watching your channel.

How many will this serve?
Because we usually have so many dishes we have never run out. I’d say at least a dozen. I hope you enjoy!!! We do! 😋
Does this freeze well??? I am a single person.
I’m sure it would. We’ve never had leftovers. 😊😊😊
People that have high blood pressure use salt substitute instead of salt
