- Many months after receiving them, I finally got to use my Derwent Graphitint Pencils, yay! This is the largest set of 24. I will be swatching all of them out, and making a rather elaborate artwork with some epic music thrown in for good measure. I hope you enjoy!

What an interesting drawing! I'm especially impressed with the texture on the jacket. And, Becky -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Thank you so much! 😁💜
Tooo Beautiful collection
Nice work
Awesome work. Will have to dust off my graphitints as well now :)
fabulous video
This was a fun watch. Liked the music and the image turned out great. Derwent's website makes these sound more lightfast than you've heard about in real life use but inside my sketchbook they should be okay.
Thank you! Most things last a lot longer in sketchbooks - it's really only when they're exposed to strong light for long periods every day that things can become an issue. At least in my experience!
From the thumbnail I thought it was Walt from Breaking Bad first 😄 Great work with the drawing Becky, the pens seem like a good set!
Funny you said that; in some footage that got cut, I mentioned that he looks like Heisenberg, lol. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees it! 😂
Nice tips on the Graphitint pencils, especially about lifting. I love Steampunk, and I'm glad you chose this character! So cool!
Thank you! I have no idea how lightfast they are going to be. I've heard they're not great but regardless of that they were really fun to use 😁
Looks awesome, love the steampunk, the detail looks great
Thank you ☺️
I'm wowed by how much detail you put in this piece - fantastic! These pencils look like a lot of fun. And they're my kind of colors. :)
Thank you! I highly recommend the pencils, and being a 24 set, they're not astronomically expensive 😁
Those muted tones are really nice, steampunk was a great choice! I definitely love meadow green, autumn brown and ocean blue the most though. Even I was tired after watching you color that (so many details)😂 turned out great though!
Haha yes it did take a long time, but I really enjoyed using the pencils so it wasn't a chore....just long, lol! I think those three colours are definitely the best ones in the set. And thank you :-)
Becky Tregear Art yes it was well worth the time too:)
Brilliantly done, they look like fabulous pencils to use!
Thank you, I really enjoyed using them! ❤
Wow! Nice one Rebecca.. :-)
Thank you! 😊
Great piece love the steampunk! and lovely swatching of the pencils. I love seeing the colors on paper. I think sage is one of my favorites not in this swatching but it looks a little vintage-y on its own in person? And I had forgotten the lightfast issues with these so thanks for mentioning that again. I always love what I call the "muted moodies" or just "moodies" they feel like an antique book or art work does soothing...and home-like?!
Oh yes, these are definitely vintage-feeling colours! I had visions of old pocket watches and things made out of brass....and antique books! 😆❤
Hey Becky!! Love your videos, especially the ones you review a product/s and produce an artwork with it. Best of both worlds, we see your great artistic works and a review to boot. Hope you are staying well with the lockdown (im a melbournite as well).
Thank you for your feedback, I'll keep that in mind for future videos! All good but totally bored. At least it's a sunny (if windy) day for a change :-) I hope you're staying safe and well.
absolutely gorgeous 😍 the ocean blue is definitely my favorite color, and as always your artistic talent shines through 😀
Thank you so much!
It would help me to know what paper you used. Is it satin or fine grain ?. Thanks, nice video.
I'm pretty sure I used Fabriano Artistico Cotton Paper, Hot Press, 300gsm, Extra White. So it's designed for watercolour and also water soluble pencils :-)
@@BeckyTregear Thank you. A question: With fine grain, can India ink be passed after watercolor?
@@jorgeluisramirezpuente207 I find that india ink works very much like watercolour, especially when diluted, but once it dries, it won't budge.
@@BeckyTregear Great. Thanks for all. 😊
