I guarantee you that this current Trojan team is listening to this stuff and are going to use it as fuel to dominate this year. All the Trojans needed last year was a defensive staff like we have now and we would have won at least 3 more games. Now we are going to be bringing a defense to the field that will be more dominant and will keep us in a lot of games and an offense that will be more electrifying than we have seen in years. But 9 and 3 can get a team into the playoff…it isn’t a guaranteed pass, but it is possible, depending on the strength of schedule as well as how the team in question finishes at the end of the season. The major change that I see coming is due to the new coaching staff. Development of players on the defensive side of the ball is taking off as we speak because of these new coaches. With Coach Henney overseeing the Dawg work on the D-Line, count on those young men to take big steps in their development. And remember that Coach D’Anton Lynn joined UCLA LATE last year, with very little time ahead of the season. And look what he did with that unit. They finished as a top ten defense. Look for big things on the defensive side of the ball for USC, folks. And if that happens, USC will be an absolute FORCE in the Big 10, let alone College Football itself.

A funny thing for this analytics is that I've been saying that the Trojans are going to go 12-0 because of the coaching staff. The big games that USC faces where they can get losses, those teams are possibly facing bigger question marks than USC because the new coaches they did get aren't exactly proven, except maybe for LSU for their DC. I still believe USC will go 12-0. I haven't seen anything that has convinced me otherwise. So I'm not going to worry about the haters and have the football world underestimate our Trojans. So please do not be surprised if I am not hardly shaking in my boots at the mention of the name. All these Big 10 teams are over-hyped, in my opinion. Also, did not Coach Riley and Baker Mayfield go into Columbus, and paddle-spank them, and walk off with a "Dub" in 2017, with 31-16 being the final score? ... Bring 'em on!

With this coaching staff, a now very experienced offense that’s going to put 40 to 45+ a game on you, and what people don’t really a very experienced defense. I predicted 11-12 wins, getting called a homer, but if SC does what they do on O, and D does their thing, who on their schedule is capable of scoring over 40, “Nobody.” This guy is dead on. The game that scares me as a “trap” game is Minnesota, weird stuff happens at that place, just got a weird feeling about this game.

Finebaum believes the expectation is for Napier to win seven games. He doesn't think Florida has much to prove, and he feels Florida's season could come down to its first game against the Miami Hurricanes. The expectations are low, basically. It will be easier for the gators to prove people wrong than to just be as bad as projected. Finebaum isn't wrong there.
I think people overlook the fact that Matt entz won several div 2 natl championships at ndsu and is a great addition to the staff.
