THIS IS WHY I bought an E36 M3.... NOT an S2K, BRZ, or 350Z

You bought an E36 to be different. I have a E36 as well. I'm in Europe its the complete opposite over here. E36's are by far the most common car you will see at any sort of drift event. That and E46, and older Volvos in Sweden. After that, various Nissans. If you had an S2000, a BRZ or a 350Z on the street you'd definetly be different.

Having had both an S2000 and an e36 M3, I can say from experience that the M3 is the better car. The S2000 is fun in its’ own right but if I had to choose, M3 all the way.

VANOS actually turns off at the 5000rpm mark :D Its meant to provide better low-mid range torque. VANOS adjusts the intake camshaft angle...

Treats On The Streers , dude, U will never regret of buying, clean, low mileage, E36 M3, because in a very short future they will be a classic vehicle... There r people who looking for those kind of cars. Buy, detail it, park it in safe place, after 15-20 years car that U drive, in that condition will cost 50K...👍

I just started getting into the car scene and super glad I found your channel. My dream car is a 97 E30 or E36 M3 and I've been looking for one as a project car. Just waiting till one gets on the market for less than $1k (I've seen people buy them for as low as $350!!) so I can rebuild it. Love how you're very genuine and not a douche! Your videos are going to help me so much.

Cool car. I bought a new one exactly like that bitd. Mine was just like yours-a Silver 2 door with the contour rims, sport seats and sunroof. I had a 240sx and was really happy to get something with the much better performance of the M3. At the time I was interested in a used NSX and checked out a few. I also looked at a new Integra type R. I'm happy that I went with the M3. They are much more torquey have a really solid planted feel in the corners. The brakes are really good too.

similar story for myself 2 years ago, Wanted to like the 86 but plastic interior and lack of power, s2000 um i needed hard top, etc etc, I then started toying with the IDEA of a e36 LS swap but costs a lot to do well, so that budget in mind I purchased an E36 M3 (euro) and its been the best car I have ever owned.

Holy crap, that car would have sold for 30k today

Had an E36 M3 and a 350Z. I feel a 350Z in stock form is a car you can just mash on everyday without care just as long as you keep an eye on oil levels. If the engine blows up you can get another VQ at the junkyard for about $650 and they’re a lot of them at junkyards. You can motor swap a VQ in one single day by yourself. The E36 I didn’t really wanna drift it cause I didn’t wanna risk hitting anything cause stock OEM E36 M3 parts are rare. And If the M3 engine gets damaged it’ll cost a lot more to replace or fix. The E36 is more rare and unique just like you explained. Just my two cents

I feel you on getting the e36 because it’s unique. Unfortunately after I got mine, e36’s started popping up in my neighborhood lol 🙄 literally 4 on my block alone

Ive had a 1998 318ti "M package" for the last two years and realized how awesome it is. i am now fixing it up at 132k. We will see where this goes. starting with suspension and braking, rotors etc.
