Can’t you do a pot in pot method of reheating by putting the frozen food container straight into the instant pot with a little water in the outer bowl?

yes, you definitely could do it that way. I guess it depends on what it is you are reheating.

Does it go through a danger temperature zone when defrosting??

Even if it did it wouldn't last long so wouldn't be an issue.

Thank you Amber. Have you ever reheated a pasta meal from frozen using this method? I have a couple of batches of ‘Spicy Sausage Lemon Linguine’ in the freezer and I’m wondering how the pasta holds up when using this reheat-from-frozen method. Thanks again😀

Paul Mason have you tried the pot in pot method? I use my trivet and a glass bowl with foil covering it to reheat food I don’t want extra liquid in. I have an 8quart so I put 2-1/2 cups of water in before I put the trivet in the liner pot.

@@suk4412 it depends on how much you are reheating. I usually do 15 minutes on the steam function and let it release on its own. You can do a quick release, I just don’t like to use it.
