If only they had added this to the end of Halloween Kills and called it a day. They had so many ways they could've made a satisfying ending but decided to create an entire movie with some wacko subplot about a character we have no connection with. Weirdest decision in this franchise's history.
The old movies are better

May not be a fan of this movie but they did get one thing right. This is how you tie up a hero vs villain finale. Both just going at each other with everything they've got until one wins. Again not the best Halloween movie but a great way to end the Laurie vs Michael chapter.
Problem is Laurie beating a practically weak asf Michael is barely seen as a victory in our eyes Michael barely gave anything in that fight BUT if it was Laurie bearing a Halloween kills Michael oh boy that woulda been one of the coldest moment in cinema history (providing they done it right) this however was done poorly and done Michael so dirty even the alternative end scene was way better then this
@@kaosaruddin6834it looks like they’re both old and tired in this fight, and gave it their all. Each intended to kill the other. I don’t think either of them was going to leave without knowing the other was dead.

@@atmodleeI think she’s supposed to be 57 in this movie but she looks way older than that. I don’t know why they just didn’t end her story with him in Halloween 2018 and have Michael go after new people in “Kills” and “Ends”. In these new ones, they’re not brother and sister anymore so it makes no sense to me that he would continuously try to seek her out - for what?

The same knitting kit that stabbed him at the side of the neck.
I love this fight scene. You can just feel the hatred between them.
I love this scene but I think H20 did a better job at making it finale for Laurie. She risked her life to save her son and herself. I believe Halloween should have ended with H20. Everything comes afterwards is just more of a timeline mess.
I think there's something quite poetic though when her family, and even the whole town steps up to help her deal with a problem she's been running from her entire life. But also the fact Strode still wasn't really a damsel. She fought this guy tooth and nail, and when she was ready to go down with him, her family stepped in to help. Protecting your son is one thing, but watching a family grow up who has little to do with you because they think you're crazy, before finally seeing and experiencing everything you have changing the game. She also fought to protect them too, even when they didn't believe her.
H20 is so overrated. It's like a Scream version of Halloween. It's not my least favorite but I'm not a fan of it. I think this entire Trilogy is better.
The fight in H20 was better.
@@darthtrip7188 The last 45 minutes of H20 is better than Kills and Ends combined lol
Halloween 2018 was a great film though.
They nerfed Michael so much in this one. If you look at it, he had plenty of opportunities to end it quick. Stepping on her throat when he could have just did to her what he did to Surtain, slammed her into the fridge multiple times, and then finally fistpounded the sewing needle further into her.
Michael was still strong in this film. He just didnt have medical care since the event of "Kills" before he went to hiding in the sewer for 4 years.
Exactly they just wanted Laurie goofy ahh to win
Sure. But you have to understand Laurie is his play toy at this point. Michael likes to play. He didn’t want to kill her instantly after 44 years. Dude wanted to put some fingers in a garbage disposal lol.

@@mbartboy1 Laurie made herself a target.

She outwit Michael and gained the advantage over him. So that’s why she won
It isn't all about the size lmao. She won because she outsmarted Michael. He was kicking her ass besides that.
Also main characters mostly end the villain one way or another
you really didnt see this? 2:18 Michael was too dumb here tbh, on top of all of that, your main concern is still your mask? to keep it on your face the whole time? when its pretty dumb cu'z Laurie already know what he looks like. now he gets outsmarted here, Laurie attempted to take off his mask, pinned his hand on the table with a knife and so on. you didnt realize how smart Laurie was in here, she clearly knows Michael too well.
@@maulok8441That’s actually kind of dumb to say cause Busta Rhymes threw Michael across the floor in one of the Halloweens. He even blocked Michael trying to stab him by grabbing his hand and kicked him out of a window. So really Michael isn’t as powerful as people think.
it really wouldve made more sense during the flashbacks if there was 40 years of footage of him going after her even though it was retconned, something felt missing

1:16 Michael can crush skulls like pumpkin but struggles to smash Laurie’s neck.
He’s old. He’s been gone for 4 years while carrying old wounds
1. Michael is practically at death’s door with all of the untreated injuries he has, and the fact that he’s only killed 2 people in the past 3 years.
2. Laurie is built different.
Exactly. I laugh at the silly justifications from the previous 2 responses.
Dude didnt know the whole story of the movie, this movie took place 3 years after Halloween Kills (2021). 3 years without his wounds and injuries cured, and he only lived in a sewer. And also, Laurie isn't built just like any other people in the movie, she's much more durable than she looks.

@@daquanbenson549Maybe it might tie up some loose ends? Like the mask being connected to a more bigger threat. Like Silver Shamrock.
Read the novelization of all three books to get inside of Michael Meyer's head. He never understood why he couldn't kill Laurie. Why wouldn't she die, why did she always escape, and why couldn't he kill her. Why was she so hard to defeat. When he hid he was recuperating, and felt his body taking a long time to heal. His single thought was her. No name just HER. Until Corey woke him up. He used Corey until he saw Corey was after Laurie. And he couldn't allow that, Laurie was his. That was his greatest mistake, and why evil left him. Why waste so much on a single one when there is so many more, in this new healthy body.
If you notice his breathing and the sounds he makes. He is tired, and scared of her, and knows he is going to die. It's a strange emotion for him, since evil was always there for him. And why he gives in to defeat. He knew it was over and evil was finished with him, it had chosen another. You want to know who it chose, after no Michael or Corey? In the epilogue it was Laurie.
The way Michael was breathing had nothing to do with him being scared of Laurie. Michael has no emotion that’s the whole point of his character. His body being damaged with all the infected wounds made his breathing more raspier and more louder, so it could mimic his breathing from the original. Also Michael didn’t care that Corey was after Laurie, he simply just wanted his mask back. He only tried killing Laurie again because well… he was there so why not? Laurie almost died to Michael in this fight but she didn’t only because she thought quick and outsmarted him. Why you think Michael went to the cave to die? He had no purpose but to live out the rest of his days and Michael knew his time was coming way before Corey brought him back to the surface.
@@tayc9542that’s not true. He could’ve easily killed her. He tried to put her hand the sink 😭 he likes making her suffer always has since he seen her that one time on his porch
@@FlwlssAngel What’s not true? About him trying to Laurie because he was already there? That is true because he only went to her house because he was following Corey to get his mask back. He didn’t go to her house willingly. After he got his mask back he tried killing her because well he was already there so why not. You think Michael was gonna be like “Excuse me Laurie, I was just getting my mask back. Have a nice day” and then walk out the house?🤣. Also, he would have killed her had she not thought quickly and outsmarted him. This is not the sequels where he went after her for a reason or kept going after her. In this timeline she was simply a random victim that he decided to go after and once she survived his blood bath Michael was locked up until he would break out 40 years later to cause another spree. Not to break out to go back after her.
@@tayc9542 he literally smashed Corey’s head . He could’ve killed her but he was trying to choke her. Believe it or not Michael had personality and emotion. He was always obsessed with Laurie. From the minute he seen her on porch in 1978. He literally stalked her and kept disappearing and making her feel crazy, killed her friends then set up their bodies for her to find. He never instantly killed her EVER like everyone else. He ignored the cop in 2018 when he seen her. Obviously he was going to fight Laurie when he got the mask but it was not like he’s never been obsessed with the idea of killing her. Cmon now
@@FlwlssAngel Also, Michael snapped Corey’s neck. He didn’t smash it. In the 2018 novel it stated that Michael sees Laurie as “She who will not die.” He never understood why he couldn't kill Laurie. Why wouldn't she die, why did she always escape, and why couldn't he kill her. Why was she so hard to defeat. So it’s not that he doesn’t always try to kill her immediately like everyone else, it’s just that when he tries she always escapes and he wonders why.

How many of you knew, before this movie was even released, let alone shot, that this would officially be the end of Michael Myers? I mean, the title itself is pretty much a spoiler.
I thought Corey would be the killer in the entire movie while Michael kills in another part of Haddonfield far away from Laurie.

Halloween Ends: psyche! He’s just a man in a mask.

i honestly thought it should have picked up right after Halloween Kills where laurie was leaving the hospital to look for Michael... (kinda like kills picked up after 2018) and then have corey come in you get to know this dummy and Michael immediately kills him off in the sewers... and then the shape returns to kill again as laurie is searching for him and they finally meet up and its final showdown at that part I'm talking 2 hour fight between the two and then Michael gets killed for the final ending they dump him in the meat grinder and then somehow he comes back to grab laurie and pull her down thus finishing their timeline for good....
Why would Michael and Laurie fight for 2 hours? That wouldn’t make sense

@@FreakingLombaxtechnically he was 65. But even then that don’t excuse anything cause of how he slaughtered the whole mob in the previous movie which would’ve only been about 4 years ago lmao
@@wes5990 It's probably cause Micheal was living in the sewers and probably just eating rats. That has to take a toll on your health. Also Micheal wasn't killing for about 4 years and killing people gives him power which is confirmed in Halloween Kills and shown in Halloween Ends as he gained strength after killing the guy in the sewers. I think he needed to kill consistently to maintain his supernatural strength and endurance.
@@tylerplayz8134You took Laurie’s quote from Kills to literal. Michael doesn’t literally get stronger when he kills. Pay attention: “The more he kills, the more he transcends into something else impossible to defeat. *Fear.* People are *afraid.* That is the true curse of Michael.” She is talking about the fear he instills over Haddonfield each time he kills. That fear made Haddonfield think Michael was unbeatable and unkillable. The more he kills, the more fear he puts over Haddonfield and that makes people think he’s impossible to defeat.
Also another thing that debunks you saying Michael was weak because he hasn’t killed for 4 years is after 1978 Michael hasn’t killed for 40 years and he was still in great condition. That’s because he had proper care and treatment while after the events of Kills he didn’t have any medical treatment for his wounds and they ended up getting infected and him living in the sewers didn’t help since that caused mold/moss to grow on his wounds.
His wounds didn’t heal properly and him aging 4 years didn’t help his case either. Also Doug was *the kill* to feed The Shape so he could regain his strength. Real life serial killers would talk about how they would feed off their kills. It wasn’t a situation where Michael was at 100% and was like “I FEEL MYSELF GETTING MORE POWERFUL, MORE STRENGTH THEN I ALREADY HAVE” it was more like “AHH, I missed this feeling. I can feel my strength returning.” There’s a difference between regaining your strength when you are in a weakened strength vs gaining more strength when you are already in a strong state (like Hulk).
The showdown in H20 and 2018 were better. The final showdown in Ends just felt underwhelming and it's not enough to save the movie. I think it would make more sense if Ends picks up immediately after Kills where Laurie leaves the hospital to find Michael but to no avail, she cannot find him. Here enters the four-year time jump to now. Allyson has come to terms that Michael is gone and Laurie is wasting time looking for him. Laurie refuses to stop searching for Michael because she believes he’s still out there. Maybe use Ends to communicate themes like guilt. Guilt for not trying harder to make sure Michael died on Halloween night 2018. Not have them fight for two hours, but have Michael lurking in the shadows (The Shape) and stalks people, kills and this can be where Corey can enter the picture to communicate Michael transferring his evil for Corey to be the new shape. Have the final act be Laurie catching Corey and Michael killing together and trying to warn Haddonfield until Laurie and Michael have a showdown.
Honestly movie sucked, this whole scene literally saved the movie love it! Rest of the movies storyline was wacko and made no sense.

I hated the whole Corey plot thrown into the mix. But this was what I've been anticipating the entire movie. Ends should've been Michael still stalking and haunting Laurie.
Despite the final chapter being low reviewed. It still gave us the ending everyone wanted laurie and Michael final confrontation and of course micheals long awaited demise by laurie strode and that will be the highlight from the entire films history

Even without factoring in how disconnected this fight is from all the stuff with Corey throughout the movie (which was disconnected from the previous two movies), this final showdown between Laurie and Michael isn't as well down as the one between them in H20.
The showdown in H20 was not good if you deeply think about you. If you go back and watch all of Michael and Laurie’s fault, you’ll see how much Laurie had to actually fight Michael in Halloween Ends compared to the past fights

So this whole time he’s just been a man that makes no sense lmao
Yueygge
Michael was definitely weak in this movie. I never heard so much groaning from him. He needed more time!!
no old woman would be able to put up any sense of fight against a 6'6 250 dude
Michael is an old man as well, and he's older than her. It doesn't matter what Michael is like in the rest of the franchise over 20 years ago.
And Laurie is not a simple old women she trained for 40 years for this fight
@@edoardodisertoris6105 True. It's also worth noting that Michael ambushed Laurie in 2018 and slammed her hard against the wall so she didn't have much of a chance and they didn't fight much, while in Ends he was winning for most of it, Laurie only got the advantage once she stabbed his arm.
That grandma could never defeat a big guy like Michael, he would throw her to another house like a ragdoll
Two old people fighting I can make money out of this.
I shouted fucking die already! 🤣
0:57 The Way That Thing Did It XD
What an insult to Michael Myers
I love this scene
Youre telling me Micheal won a fight against 10 armed men and lost a fight against the gradma, come on now...
Peak Michael lost to the firefighters. 4 years of starving and rotting Micheal lost to grandma (who’d been training for years and years especially for liking Michael)
I think that about balances it out 🤷♂️
Well is a movie and both are the protagonist I would called it like that ‘ and both are there nemesis 😅 Michael and Laurie story So….
@@elliottinga7332 Theres no way a large 6'3 man can lose to a grandma...Oh well I guess bcz of plot armour
It seems like you guys don’t understand. He was literally winning the fight until Laurie outwit him and gained the advantage over him.
@@flexaflexa2177You know it isn’t impossible to outsmart Michael right? Which is what Laurie did to gain the advantage
