Whilst on tour in the UK, Mick Foley encountered a young child. The kid explained to Foley that he was living in an orphanage because his biological father used to beat him and as a result he was taken into care. Foley was saddened by this tale and offered the kid free tickets to his show. The young boy was thrilled and thanked the Hardcore Legend. The boy then said; "Y'know who I'd really like to be my dad?" "No, who?" Foley replied, kinda hoping it would be him. "Al Snow!" said the boy with hopeful enthusiasm. "Al Snow? Why him, of all people?" Asked the bewildered Foley. "Because Al Snow never beat anyone."
thank you for including such classics as Rene Goulet, SD Jones, Iron Mike Sharpe and of course the Brooklyn Brawler. a great bit of nostalgia from WWE was still watchable
In 1999, I went to a local indie show that featured Tom Brandi and Gillberg. Jobbers or not, it was the height of the WWF's Attitude Era popularity and everyone I knew was psyched to see two actual WWF wrestlers in person. Gillberg actually kicked his opponent's ass, finishing him off with a spear and jackhammer. I got to meet him during intermission and had a Polaroid taken with him. He even let me hold the Light Heavyweight belt. Good times.
No mention of Al Snow!! Renowned 'head' of the JOB-SQUAD! I think their motto was something like "Book me, pin me, pay me"! I think deserving of some vid time guys.
He's one of the most underrated wrestlers in history. I saw a promo with him and Mankind last week (he was turning heel and going against the Rock n' Sock Connection) and I was completely blown away with his mic skills. Very very underrated.
Jose Flores Richards was a jobber. Snow was not. Won several hardcore championships and had some solid feuds with bossman and won tag title with mick Foley
I never saw what everyone liked about Sandow ,I never saw it but I have heard all the smartest wrestling minds from Cornett,Jim Ross to Kevin Nash and Bret Hart all say it takes a lot more than just popularity and that many popular superstars just didnt have the whole package and some didnt even have what it took.Sandow easily falls into that bracket
to be fair WWE didn't book him right. It's like booking Sid Vicious with a college degree gimmick. It just doesn't work. He's a great worker, can cut a promo and has a decent physique. He isn't world title material by any stretch but I feel that he can hold down the mid card really well if given the opportunity. Think Rick Martel area.
Pretty decent list. I can't speak for any current wrestlers, but can attest to SD Jones, Iron Mike Sharpe, and Barry Horowitz being VERY deserving of being on this list! An honorable mention from around this time frame would be Jim Powers who was perhaps the buffest jobber in wrestling history.
Im glad you threw in that the brawler was loved backstage. Recently i saw a shoot where corny said he was highly respected due to his respect and love for the business as well as his work ethic and behind the scenes personality. Repo man was the same way ive heard.
Headbangers I still don't understand them. Were they over? Were they meant to be over? Were they a serious team? It just doesn't make sense... King Ross would have had ten WTF mo-monts every week for just them
WWF tag team champions is considered being a Jobber, also you realize headbanger's were a 90's Grunge tag team Kurt cobain the god of Grunge recently died so WWE was just cashing in on the hype at the time. Today headbangers 100% Would be jobbers, in the 90's they were over as the unofficial Rockers & Tag team champions. Then hardlys & E&C came next
I know there's an amazing amount of jobbers out there, and it's impossible to list them all, but I do feel leaving Leapin' Lanny Poffo and Jim Powers off this list was an unfortunate oversight. Those were two guys I always rooted for as a kid, and who I feel both shined as jobbers and could have been better utilized as stars in their own right.Nevertheless, great video!
John Ryan ... its been 8 months ... afraid it seems - he's been demoted back2 jobber status. although, a tag team jobber, Rhino now suffers also...he's gettin2 old4 this shit!!!
Rene Goulet (GOO LAY) is also one half of a WWWF world tag championship team with the legendary Karl Gotch (12/71-3/72). I'm amazed that you left out the greatest jobber of all time, the unpredictable Johnny Rodz. He worked for the company from the late 1960s through the late 1980s, and was the man of choice to put over the babyfaces who were receiving a decent push. He also trained Bubba and D-Von Dudley and Tommy Dreamer, among others.
Iron Mike Sharpe, sadly passed away January 2016. He was perhaps the greatest talent that Vince McMahon ever wasted. I can't imagine why he didn't try jumping to NWA/WCW. I'm sure that they would have had a better storyline for him. Hell just having a storyline at all would have been better.
Vince paid him a ton, he had his run in the early 1980's, WCW/NWA wasn't big on jobbers. Vince would still let him win against lower jobbers even into the early 90's, I saw Iron Mike live beat Tim Horner, Tony Garea, Lanny Poffo and Jose Luis Rivera. Remember the loaded wrist brace, he still had a gimmick, not many jobbers have a gimmick.
I still remember when Bobby The Brain had The Brooklyn Brawler ambush The Red Rooster (Terry Taylor). The Rooster Boosters were squawking like never before!
Mario Mancini should be on that list, by far my favorite Jobber. Never won a match! But was on TV every weekend when I was a kid. Guy is a great interview too, search for them.
Gilbert is my all time favourite jobber. Seriously, look at all the beatings he took. Some of those bumps would have seriously injured or killed any normal man. Wow.
Andre Malo- most of the time fought The Iron Sheik, Barry O (Randy Orton's Uncle), Buck Zoomhoff, can't think of anybody else but I'm glad I can still remember these people.
Some other good ones are Tom Stone, Brian Costello, Jose Luis Rivera, Barry-O, Rusty Brooks, Pete Doherty (The Duke Of Dorchester)....I really miss those days. SD Jones would be WWE Champion now for sure.
As an 80s wrestling fan I've gotta say there a few names that should be on this list who weren't. Mario Mancini, Joe Mirto and Jose Luis Rivera were regular punching bags for the stars on WWF rock and roll wrestling. Also an honourable mention for Mike Blackwell for his unforgettable no selling to Sid and Spivey and subsequent real life beating. And last but not least the incomparable 'from parts unknown, weight unknown Mr X'.
The Big Show could be on this list too. He's shifted between main event champion push and over-sized jobber to get the next gen of talent over almost as many times as he's done face/heel turns.
The Mulkey brothers....love how this guy calls out fans for not knowing about the Brawler yet has probably never seen a Georgia Championship Wrestling episode in his life.
My list would be way more old school, as I stopped watching in the early 2000s: 10. Virgil 9. Damien Demento 8. Mike Sharpe 7. Joey Maggs 6. Jim Brunzell 5. Tommy Angel 4. Jerry Flynn 3. Brooklyn Brawler 2. Jim Powers 1. Barry Horowitz
About Tom Brandi, he DID have a feud with Marc Mero over Sable and the WWF was seemingly giving him a push but then he got eliminated in 12 seconds by Cactus Jack and Terry Funk at the 1998 Royal Rumble and then the next night on Raw, he lost to Marc Mero in a single match and then he spent the last couple months of his WWF career being jobbed out to guys like the Rock and Jeff Jarrett which I found to be odd. I guess something happened backstage which made the WWF decide to kill Brandi's push and get rid of him. I found him to be one of the better jobbers and could be counted on to give his opponents a decent match and make them look good. He should've been higher up on the roster in my opinion.
Boy, do I remember S.D. Jones, Rene Goulet, from the 70s. The 70s had the best jobbers ever. I’ll add a few more: The unpredictable Johnny Rodz, Sylvano Sousa, Baron Mikel Siccluna, Johnny Rivera, Quick Draw Rick McGraw and Steve Travis to name a few..
+Frankie Calimano Yes sir! Worzel F'n Gummidge... And he wasn't a jobber, he was a main event level fight-separator. Name a fight separator, or WWF official who breaks up fights who is better than he. ? in the fabled history of this fine business....no? Did think so. One could easily argue he is the greatest of all time. Plus he was the coordinator (behind the scenes, almost a complete shoot) of Lex Luger attacking Bret Hart pre WrestleMania IX, this during his short lived heel turn. Ultimately the fans could not boo this man. The fans just refused to boo Worzel, and who can blame them? Worzel 4 lyfe my Nogger!
Whilst on tour in the UK, Mick Foley encountered a young child. The kid explained to Foley that he was living in an orphanage because his biological father used to beat him and as a result he was taken into care. "No, who?" Foley replied, kinda hoping it would be him.
"Al Snow!" said the boy with hopeful enthusiasm.
"Al Snow? Why him, of all people?" Asked the bewildered Foley.
"Because Al Snow never beat anyone."
lmao
OMG thats brilliant hahahahah
Bravo! Lmao
This comment left me in stitches!!!! lmao
Back in the day MIck Foley told that joke at Eastern University ,(while i was there). I do believe its in his book as well. MWA, God bless that man
thank you for including such classics as Rene Goulet, SD Jones, Iron Mike Sharpe and of course the Brooklyn Brawler. a great bit of nostalgia from WWE was still watchable
A lot of people forget that S.D. Jones was in the very first Wrestlemania match. He’ll always have that moment.
How sad is it that the guys on this list have more character and charisma than 90% of the current WWE Roster?
Right?
I think you are over reacting dude 😐
Very
No they don't.
not even close. there is a reason these guys didn't go very far and served as stepping stones for everyone else.
Brooklyn Brawler! That was such a good gimmick. I remember watching him wrestle. I actually liked him even though he was always a heel.
With10Cubes The name alone is legendary Brooklyn Brawler
Brooklyn Brawler was like rooting for your dad 😂
@@trelomanga9009 I wish I had a dad.
@@TCGView you mean, you wish the Brooklyn Brawler was your dad 😎👍
@@trelomanga9009 I heard he was a decent guy so...sure. I wouldn't have minded.

NO ROMAN REIGNS WITH IDK HOW MANY STYLES CLASHES
how about the leader of the JOB Squad Al Snow?
No one can job more than Bo Dallas...
Tyler Breeze, pls.
roman reigns pls
ahm... he never won the WWE or the World Heavyweight Championship... but he was Intercontinental Champion
Goldust has lots of wwe titles like the intercontinental championship.
That's not the truth
If I were in WWE, and they put me against Funaki, I would job to him. Too much respect!
Indeed
The Yetey vs Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania for the divas championship. BOOK IT VINCE!
dream match
Austin Walls if Roman’s a diva then what the hell are you
Austin Walls Yeti
Fuck you
The YATAAAY!
No mention of Al Snow!! Renowned 'head' of the JOB-SQUAD! I think their motto was something like "Book me, pin me, pay me"!

He's one of the most underrated wrestlers in history. I saw a promo with him and Mankind last week (he was turning heel and going against the Rock n' Sock Connection) and I was completely blown away with his mic skills. Very very underrated.
Totally agree. Has trained up a lot of talent too.
Al Snow and Stevie Richards deserve to be here
Jose Flores Richards was a jobber. Snow was not. Won several hardcore championships and had some solid feuds with bossman and won tag title with mick Foley
Not Al Snow
This list makes Roman Reigns looks really strong
😂😂😂😂😂
You PC bro?
He is strong
+Todd Spencer well I'd like to see you beat him up
they're jobbers. that's what they do.
Sandow was released like a month or 2 before this video lmao
This was probably filmed before his release.
And now hes wrestling for What Culture :D
Lehmao ... eye no rite, ohh mer gawd!

gillberg was champion for 15 months. not 2 years.
Aaron joel wow I care so deeply
Whatculture's attention to detail is amazing.
Who named Gillberg "gillberg"
Should've been Gill boldberg
Stop
+RackenBlacken hammertime
Laughed way harder than i should have.
I read that and at first I didn't laugh, but when I read it out loud I can't stop laughing
+Pokemaniac Bob gillberg?
Sandow was released bloody weeks ago. Don't know what you're on about WhatCulture.
i think this was prerecorded
+Angelo Montiel From over a month ago? I doubt that.
Sarcasm
+RedCyanPhotos I've went back and relistened like 3 times, it didn't sound sarcastic in the slightest. They just made a huge fuck up haha
It was prerecorded up to 6 weeks ago
Pretty decent list. I can't speak for any current wrestlers, but can attest to SD Jones, Iron Mike Sharpe, and Barry Horowitz being VERY deserving of being on this list! An honorable mention from around this time frame would be Jim Powers who was perhaps the buffest jobber in wrestling history.

It's kinda fucked up to think that Brooklyn Brawler and JR have pinfall wins over Triple H, but Booker T doesn't.
What culture you should do a top 10 of champions that noone remebers for examle La Resistance winning agains benoit and edge
...
La ResistaNCE is well known
The Basham Brothers should be in that list
this joke has gotten so old why do people still think they are clever by making these lame jokes
Headbangers

How could you miss out Johnny Rodz?
He was probably the most respected jobber in history.
Rip Rogers and Norman Smiley
Norman "Big Wiggle" Smiley, gotta be on there!
How far back do you record these videos? Sandow hasn't been with the company for like 3 weeks.
re upload from a while back
I know there's an amazing amount of jobbers out there, and it's impossible to list them all, but I do feel leaving Leapin' Lanny Poffo and Jim Powers off this list was an unfortunate oversight. Ref to Cena - "You can't kick out a submission at 2"
Mean Street Posse forever.
"I'm always gonna be there to make the big guy look good and I'm ok with that" -Shannon Moore
I love that everyone at whatculture throws shade at each other. it seems like they're all having so much fun
You should be in prison because not putting on Zack Ryder is god damn crime
Former Tag Team champion (with Curt Hawkins), former U.S. Champion, and former I.C. Champion..... Yup, definitely jobber material. -_-
does adam from what culture have his own channel , he is like the only reason i watch these
Wich one pacitti or blampied? for blampied its called the wrestling posh guy. For Adam pacitti its called adam pacciti.
Heath Slater ain't a jobber no more baybay!!!
John Ryan Baybayyyy!!!

I always remembered Jim Powers
That the Mulkey Brothers aren't on this list is a travesty.
Ditto for George South.
Bill "Human Thermometer" Mulkey
Brooklyn Brawler and Barry Horowitz are my 2 faves
I still remember when Bobby The Brain had The Brooklyn Brawler ambush
The Red Rooster (Terry Taylor). The Rooster Boosters were squawking like never before!
Anyone who watched in the 80's would still remember the ring announcer calling Jose Luis Riveraaaaa. Surprised he's not on the list!
Norman smiley was a great jobber... so entertaining in the Nitro days
But he did hold the Hardcore Title for the longest time though
You knew someone was a jobber when they were already in the ring and had no entrance music.
Where THE FUCK is Al Snow?!? He's what everybody wants... He's what everybody needs...
Ikr
he's what everybody loves
He literally had a stable called JOB Squad. He should've been here
What does everybody want !!?? HEEAAADDDDD !!!!
Headddddddddddd
Mario Mancini should be on that list, by far my favorite Jobber. Never won a match! But was on TV every weekend when I was a kid. Guy is a great interview too, search for them.
Gilbert is my all time favourite jobber. Seriously, look at all the beatings he took. Some of those bumps would have seriously injured or killed any normal man. Wow.
I thought Sandow was released?
Reupload bud.
Yup. But the Damien Sandow character is owned by WWE.
I think they recorded this before he was released
or, theygot a picture of the miz up as Damien was miz's stunt double i.e "look the same"
+Jamie Yeomans Ohhh ok makes sense now haha
The Unpredictable Johnny Rodz!!!!!
"2... YERS!"
George (Scrapiron Ghadaski. Kenny (Sockbuster) Jay. Jake (the Milkman) Milligan. To me THESE guys were the REAL jobbers.
Funaki was awesome! Just remembered him!
SPIKE DUDLEY. HE MADE EVERYONE LOOK GREAT!!!
Last I checked Sandow was released so how long ago was this video recorded?
Probably april
he was being sarcastic
My favorites back in the 80's were Mr. X and Barry "O". Also even though he got some wins Lanny Poffo was never a big winner.
Andre Malo- most of the time fought The Iron Sheik, Barry O (Randy Orton's Uncle), Buck Zoomhoff, can't think of anybody else but I'm glad I can still remember these people.
I 100% agree with the top three for various reasons. well done!
Where's Virgil?
Barry Horowitz was awesome! I remember watching when he won and got a short and modest push afterwards. WWF back in the day was great!
what about "Playboy" Buddy Rose? anyone remember him?
u brought back memories with that one. i remember he had the weight loss powder
Some other good ones are Tom Stone, Brian Costello, Jose Luis Rivera, Barry-O, Rusty Brooks, Pete Doherty (The Duke Of Dorchester)....I really miss those days. SD Jones would be WWE Champion now for sure.

Blackwell took a good beating in front of his family, smh! Talk about beating the brakes off someone, dammit man!
How do you make a list like this and forget Johnny Rodz
Scotty 2 Hotty 2004-2006?
I don't think Sandow will get those 15 world titles anymore
Glad to see Iron Mike Sharpe on the list. Norman Smiley is probably about the only one I can think of off the top of my head who is missing.
S.D. Jones might be the most underrated wrestler EVER.
"Any man with 2 fists still has a fighting chance!" -James Ellsworth
What happened to jack watching the serbian film
Twitter
Wrapped up in "finding a wrestler"
lol serbian film i didnt expect people would know that crazy movie.
Why not? lol is one the most infamous films in history.
+Victor Kruger i would say the most infamous movie of all time . begotten, human centipede were fucked up but sf was the worst.
I'm a little surprised that Jim Powers didn't make the list.
Along with Zenk. The jobber tag team, Young Stallions.
+Brian DeWolf at least Zenk had some minor success in the Can-Am Connection and WCW Television Champion
I agree. Powers had small success to be low card but not quite jobber status.
Agreed - he had skills and enthusiasm; unfortunately, they didn't really expand on his character much.
nope.. Jim powers teamed with Paul Roma for the young stallions buddy
The Big Show could be on this list too. He's shifted between main event champion push and over-sized jobber to get the next gen of talent over almost as many times as he's done face/heel turns.
steve Lombardi was also known as abe knuckleball schwartz where he had that baseball player gimmick.
You'll be kicking yourself for not including Zack Gowen.
me and my brother used to call jobbers the weak guys.
Shen Agüeybaná II youre a jobber
Shen Agüeybaná II , my younger brother and I called them “wimpy” wrestlers.
I used to called them Busters lol.
We called them “body bags”.
We called them crappies 😂
"The Yetay"
The Mulkey brothers....love how this guy calls out fans for not knowing about the Brawler yet has probably never seen a Georgia Championship Wrestling episode in his life.
Krillin and Yamcha the greatest anime jobbers.
Followed by Boss Borot.
Didn't Sandow get released, not really going to get his title run is he?
he was being sacastic
Where's Jeff Hardy ? He was great jobber in 1994 till 1998 .
zonxo *Jeff Harvey
#BROKEN YOSHI YO harvey?
vanilla_suprize56 when jeff debuted he was called jeff harvey
No, the jeff harvey thing is just a botch from an announcer, can't remember the name of the guy
My list would be way more old school, as I stopped watching in the early 2000s:
10. Virgil
9. Damien Demento
8. Mike Sharpe
7. Joey Maggs
6. Jim Brunzell
5. Tommy Angel
4. Jerry Flynn
3. Brooklyn Brawler
2. Jim Powers
1. Barry Horowitz
Damn son! Someone knows his wrestling. Instant like
Shaun Feldman wow I remember all of those guys besides Tony Angel.
Rusty Brooks!
Mike Sharpe is too low on the list
'Sandow, you can do it'. A phrase that fans have had give up on for quite some time now.
I found him to be one of the better jobbers and could be counted on to give his opponents a decent match and make them look good. He should've been higher up on the roster in my opinion.
Zack Ryder?
Guess the radio didnt tell you everything it knows. :/
Call me picky, but why does The Jobber's voice overs always end with "But that's all we've got time for..."?
It isn't, it's just the end of your list.
I disagree , Heath Slater is my WWE World Heavyweight Champion .
Brawler was also Abe "Knuckleball" Schwartz. he would spend a good portion in the crowd holding up a sign that said he's on strike, lol.
WORZEL ALERT!!!!!
Definetly.
!
I marked out hard for Worzel Gummidge.
v1 would probably call everyone at WC a bunch of Cunts, but Jay would single out Jack from them, as he is a fan of the show.
Worzels over as fuck!
Where is Jack's A Serbian Film reaction video?
My best friends dad was the yeti no joke
tell us more about him please (no joke)
tell us more about how his dad was Reese of Raven's Flock.
+Horsy MGTOW ok I forgot his first name but his last name is Reis, his sons name is Jacob Reis and he goes to west Forsyth high school in Cumming GA
+Horsy MGTOW his name is Ron Reis and he also went by Big Ron Studd, I used to play football with his son
"Leaping' Lanny Poffo should definitely be on this list.
you brought back memories with Barry and sharp
no zack ryder? #givezackachance #nomoreajstyles #nomoresupercena

Remember 90s jobbers
Conrad von Hötzendorf when jobbers were jobbers
How could you forget A.J. Petruzzi, Paul Roma, Mr. X (Danny Davis), Jose Luis Rivera, and Barry O?
Bad news Barrett to appear at wpcw?!?!?
that needs to happen
no Leaping Lanny Paffo?
Philo Beddoe agreed leaping lenny and ko ko b ware how about Barry o
Or George South who Ric Flair had his greatest superstar vs jobber match against
That's what I was wondering. He'd read a silly little poem mocking his opponent that was written on a frisbee then promptly get his face beat in.
James Ellsworth!
My favorite jobber was The Hustler Rip Rogers. Probably because he's from Seymour, IN, which is 10 miles from the town where I grew up.
Brooklyn Brawler, Barry Horowitz, and Mike Sharpe were really great picks. Excellent top 3.
Heath Slater is da man ! :D I love him
