- goddamn y'all we did it! we are officially on-campus, living up the college life. even though it felt like years ago, I still feel the exhaustion that is making the big move. I've had a lot of fun settling in on campus with my housemates + friends, decorating our home to be cozy and welcoming, and making my dorm my own. for everyone else moving, going to college, or starting school, I hope you had a smooth (or hopefully not too bumpy) transition. I hope y'all enjoy this lil journal entry; this is just the beginning of my college adventures. see y'all in the next one!

*Pro tip with the metal bar hitting your head!!! *
( I have a loft bed this year for college too )
Get a Pool noodle, cut open one side of it and and tie the whole thing to the metal bar with string. Saves you a lot of pain and I've already heard from upperclassmen that some of them had to get stitches from that metal part. Hope that helps. You might have already gotten a pool noodle or something else for cushion the bar. Just hope ya dont get hurt.

Am I the only one who thinks she kind of just moved her life in and formed it to fit her (of course it makes sense for her room) but the living room mostly. Kinda like how you can make your ac island how ever you want to make it look and just let your villagers chill. Like as if her roommates are the villagers lol. It’s aesthetic though. Agreed.. my rommates do this too and I kinda hate it tbh.. It's basic common sense I mean, if you decorate before asking or you ask permission but expecting to get a yes, there's not a lot of room for them to reject it without being 'the bad guy'. The social pressure is reallll! Especially if you haven't really know them for some time and/or aren't comfortable stating your boundaries with no fear of spoiling relationships and/or generally are a yes man. That's my view at least🌷gotta love the aesthetics tho✌

When I moved in (got there at 7am), my roommate had already claimed a side, a bed, a desk etc. she had already unpacked everything and hung up a type of pictures - it was a weird experience. But thankfully, we got along!!

omg if you have laundry pods dont put them in the little detergent compartment, you throw those right in with the clothes. otherwise youll clog up the detergent slots for regular detergent! they arent flushed with enough water to dissolve the pod.
anyways i hope you have a fun time living on campus! im about to finish my last year, and walking by the dorms i used to live in gets me a little sad sometimes, i miss it! but i love having my garden and plants again at my own apartment.

I go to Penn State and I feel you 10000000% on the inaccessible campus. I'm an out of state student, so I had to move everything by myself. There was construction and the road and parking lot for my dorm was blocked off, so I had to park really far, and it took me two days to move everything to my dorm (I was moving across campus from my summer dorm). I can't imagine what it's like for physically handicapped students trying to access buildings on my campus. I was in tears trying to move everything.

This makes me miss the "freshman" dorm experience. I was in a dorm my first year (last year) and it was cockroach infested and now i'm in a studio apartment and I haven't made any friends because no clubs seem interesting and I've been online these past two years so I'm going to transfer back home because where I am it's not getting any better and watch others have the college experience.
