I heard that when Brody's wife arrived in Puerto Rico after his death, she was met at the airport by Abdullah and he literally burst into tears in front of her. He also hastily left the country because someone warned him that he was next.
What a tremendous persona Bruiser Brody was, a guy who made money everywhere he went. Before there was "What?" and "Yes" there was the war cry of the iconic Bruiser Brody!
My last recollection of Brody when I lived in Puerto Rico was him attacking Abdullah with a 2x4. Maybe this was recorded afterwards and did not air until after he passed.

Not much really. When a wrestler ends up fighting in Puerto Rico, Japan or Mexico, it is because either he is very young and is learning the trade, or he is old and nobody would hire him in WWF or any larger company. So it was with Dutch Mantel and Tony Atlas, who by that time were NO longer in WWF. Likewise, Bruiser Brody was over 40 years old, and his career on major circuits was long overdue.
